As the game world's notification sound rang out, the wedding sedan chairs quietly set off.
There was no fanfare or celebration.
Someone also called out to Du Nan and Ming Yu, telling them to go and carry the sedan chair together.
The large sedan chair, carried by eight people, traveled neither too fast nor too slow towards the mountains.
At the mountaintop, a dark cloud covered the area, and thick fog shrouded the mountains, obscuring their shape.
Do mountain gods really exist?
Ahri looked at Bai Shuo; he was from the game world, so perhaps he knew.
Bai Shuo simply looked at the mountain and said, "Whether there is a mountain god or not, just stay by my side now. I will help you complete the mission."
Ah Li stared at Bai Shuo's profile; this guy was really strange.
Bai Shuo then turned to look at Ah Li and said, "Don't be afraid of me, because in that game world, many people found me, but they never thought of taking me away from that place. But you are different. You took me away and buried me, so I will protect you, repay you, and also..."
I want to spend my whole life with you.
Bai Shuo looked at Ah Li seriously, but he didn't say the last few words because after leaving the game world, he was just a ghost, not a human at all.
Ah Li looked at Bai Shuo with some delight: "Then wouldn't I be cheating in the game world?"
Bai Shuo said, "Yeah, I'm your cheat code. You can just lie back and let me carry you."
"Can I change my clothes?"
"No, you must wear this dress in this world so that people will know you have a husband."
"All right."
Ahri also noticed that the villagers around them were looking at them with ill intent.
Bai Shuo put his arm around Ah Li, smiled politely at the villagers, and then left with Ah Li.
"Where are we going next?" Ah Li felt the coldness emanating from Bai Shuo, but she still looked up at him slightly.
Bai Shuo said, "I'll take you home."
Not far away, a small villa with its own courtyard appeared. It did not occupy a large area, but it was quite unique and distinctive among the low-rise houses in the area.
"Your home?"
Ah Li pointed to the small Western-style building in front of her and asked Bai Shuo.
Bai Shuo moved his fingertips, the ghostly energy on them still surging. He said, "Yes, it's just our home."
Bai Shuo led Ah Li inside, saying, "I'll go look for clues from now on. You can stay here and relax."
Ahri then asked, "Don't you need my help?"
Bai Shuo hugged Ah Li and lowered his head to kiss her forehead. He said, "This is a house I created with ghostly energy. Monsters in this world dare not come in, nor will they. I will find clues as soon as possible."
Immediately afterward, Bai Shuo released Ah Li and left without looking back.
Ah Li watched Bai Shuo's retreating figure, sensing the lingering ghostly aura emanating from him on her forehead. "This person is truly thoughtful," she thought.
Because of the ghostly aura on her forehead, she carries the same aura as Bai Shuo, which makes her appear as a human to the monsters of this world.
Ali also discovered that there was a white cat, a big yellow dog, and a black and white television in the house.
This person has thought of everything.
Ah Li picked up the cat, stroked its fur, watched the TV series on the black and white television, and waited patiently for Bai Shuo to return.
Bai Shuo sensed something, and he turned to look in the direction of the small villa, a smile appearing on his lips.
In this game world, there really are mountain gods on the mountains.
Bai Shuo wanted to meet her because he wanted to become human and he wanted to be with Ah Li.
I don't know how long I waited, but then it got dark.
A commotion arose outside, and a dark figure darted past the window.
Every now and then, red eyes would peer out of the window, peering into the house.
The cat in Ah Li's hands bristled, and the big yellow dog let out a low growl.
More and more red eyes appeared, as if they were crowding the windows. Just when Ahri thought that the monsters with red eyes would break through the windows, she realized that they were coming in.
At that moment, the door was opened.
Bai Shuo returned, and all the red eyes outside the window were gone.
Bai Shuo's ghostly aura fluctuated. He didn't approach Ah Li, and he gently said to Ah Li, "Don't come near me, I'm in danger right now."
Ahri sat in her original spot and asked, "Are you hurt?"
Bai Shuo hid his hands, which were emanating a ghostly aura, behind his back and said, "No."
He simply found the mountain god, saw what the mountain god looked like, and then he returned.
When he returned, he found many of these world monsters around the house, so he chased them away.
Ahri continued, "So, have you found any clues?"
Bai Shuo then said, "The mountain fog is very thick at this time, and the sedan chair carriers stopped to rest and did not continue up the mountain. Therefore, this period of time should be the best opportunity for those behind the scenes to move the bride away."
Ah Li then said, "Let's go over there now, maybe we can catch those people in the act."
"Wait a little longer."
Bai Shuo looked outside. The outside world was full of monsters. Once a fight broke out, he couldn't guarantee that he could still maintain his current appearance in front of Ah Li.
Ah Li knew it was dangerous outside, so she was willing to wait when Bai Shuo said to.
The cat in Ahri's hand got sleepy and ran back to its cat bed.
The big yellow dog also ran back to its kennel. Both animals were quiet and seemed easy to take care of.
Bai Shuo had already controlled the ghostly energy on his body. He walked towards Ah Li and said, "It's late, you should rest."
