Ahri turned back and kissed Roy's lips, calling out, "Roy."
"Yes, I'm here."
Roy gently embraced Ahri; he would protect her.
As the sun gradually sets in the west, the sunlight gradually disappears.
Ahri walked out of the castle. Roy stood on the high point of the castle, watching Ahri's departing figure. He touched his neck and looked at the soon-to-be-formed full moon in the sky. He still had to stay here. Things were going to be a bit turbulent lately.
The village where the original owner grew up was sprinkled with holy water and garlic was hung at the entrance and exit.
There was also a smell in the air that made Ahri feel uncomfortable—the smell of werewolves.
At this moment, there is a werewolf and a blood hunter in the village.
The village chief took out all his savings to scrape together ten silver coins. He said, "Please help me find my daughter."
Kyle the werewolf didn't speak, but Jesse stepped forward and said, "If you want us to find someone, you should at least give us a picture of that person so we can find them."
Jesse has been working with werewolves lately, and he also needs to search for his mother's belongings in the dense forest.
The village chief then carefully took out a photo from his pocket. The photo showed him and his daughter standing at the entrance of the village.
Jesse took it and recognized the photo as Ahri, whom he had met that night. He said, "Is this your daughter?"
"Yes, she is my daughter. I have no idea why she went into the forest that day. If I had known, I would never have let her go out."
Jesse remained silent. Kyle, the werewolf, looked at Jesse and asked, "Dude, what are you doing?"
Business is practically handed to you, why not be more proactive?
Kyle reached for the silver coins on the table, but Jesse grabbed Kyle's hand and said to the village chief, "We won't take this money. I've seen your daughter; she's in town."
As soon as Jesse finished speaking, the male college student stood up and said, "Impossible! I clearly saw her being bitten to death by a vampire."
Jesse remained silent.
At this moment, the village chief stood up unsteadily. He looked at Jesse and said with great difficulty, "Sir, let's go outside and talk."
Kyle tapped Jesse on the shoulder, and Jesse gathered the silver coins on the table before following the village chief out.
After the two left, Jesse returned the silver coins to the village chief.
The village chief was already in tears, and he asked in a trembling voice, "My daughter, she... has she become a vampire?"
"yes."
The village chief asked, his voice choked with emotion, "Is she alright now?"
Jesse didn't know why, but he only remembered the kiss between them, and he said, "She's very good."
A faint light returned to the village chief's eyes. "Really?"
Jesse responded softly, "Mm."
The village chief turned around to wipe away the tears from the corners of his eyes. When he looked up, he suddenly noticed a familiar figure—it was… his daughter.
At this moment, Ahri stood quietly outside the village, looking at the village chief.
The village chief blinked and rubbed his eyes. When he saw Ah Li clearly and realized that she hadn't disappeared, he grinned and ran towards her, saying, "My daughter."
Jesse followed behind the village chief. He knew that Ahri wouldn't hurt the village chief, and he didn't stop the village chief from getting close to Ahri.
The village chief walked out of the village and stood in front of Ahri. He reached out his hand, wanting to hug her but not daring to. She was his daughter, but he had a strange feeling that she wasn't his daughter.
Tears welled up in Ahri's eyes. She took two steps back and said, "Father, I can no longer be your daughter because I am a vampire now. I am no longer human. I am afraid of holy water, afraid of everything that vampires are afraid of. I can never go home again."
When Jesse saw the tears falling so quickly and urgently in Ahri's eyes, he took a handkerchief out of his pocket and handed it to Ahri, saying, "Don't cry. The fact that you're standing here now is better for your father than knowing that you're dead."
When the village chief saw Ah Li crying, the strange feeling in his heart disappeared. He walked up to Ah Li, raised his hands and hugged her, saying, "Silly child, with me here, why can't you go home?"
Ahri was held tightly by the village chief. She said sadly, "Father, I shouldn't have died. Someone stole my cross, which is why I was captured by the vampire and became like this."
Upon hearing this, Jesse immediately thought of that male college student.
The village chief helped Ali up and asked in a hoarse voice, "Are you saying that the cross in your hand was stolen?"
"Um."
The original owner had a cross in her hand at that time, so she was able to safely return from the dense forest.
The village chief then remembered that when he asked the male college student where he got the cross, his expression had been a little off.
He didn't think much of it at the time, but now he realizes he was just feeling guilty.
"I'm going to find him!"
"Father."
Ah Li grabbed the village chief's hand and said, "Father, don't make a sound yet."
Jesse chimed in, "Yes, we should get our revenge quietly."
The village chief was furious. He wanted nothing more than to go back and kill that man right now. "Why did you do it secretly? He's the one who killed my daughter!"
Ahri clung tightly to the village chief's sleeve. "Father, I'm a vampire now. The people in the village don't like vampires. They're afraid of me and hate me."
The village chief noticed Ah Li's actions, which were always the actions his daughter would make when she was scared. His eyes welled up with tears, and he said, "It's okay. The villagers may be scared, but I'm not. You will always be my daughter."
