Chapter 321 The Original Owner Who Became a Vampire 9

The encirclement and hunt in the dense forest resulted in the capture of many vampires, and the paladins even used ropes soaked in holy water to tie them up.

The paladin and the werewolf continued to work together as they headed towards the castle.

Many of the large trees in the dense forest were also overthrown and cut down, and sunlight was finally able to shine through the treetops into this dense forest.

The college students, still searching for the missing person, also entered the dense forest at this time. They had made up their minds that regardless of whether they found the person or not, they were going to return.

This expedition was absolutely terrible. There were about twenty people when we arrived, but in the end, only the four of them remained.

The four people walked into the dense forest, and as they passed a vampire with wooden stakes stuck in his chest, they recognized a familiar face among them—they were their classmates.

One girl, Bella, couldn't stand it anymore and covered her mouth, turning her head away. A boy stopped in his tracks, gritting his teeth and saying, "I'm not looking anymore."

Lolita, the girl who had always wanted to find that male college student, asked, "Why?"

"Didn't you see? They were all bitten and then turned into vampires. If you find him, he'll end up the same way. What are you going to do then?"

This girl, Lolita, likes that male college student, "but we still have to go find him. He might not necessarily become a vampire; he might still be waiting for us to save him!"

The boy, Joe, said, "If you want to look for someone, go look for them yourself. I don't want to look anymore. I want to go home!"

Lolita shouted, "How could you do this? Don't you remember that he was the one who ran back with the cross to save us? Otherwise, we wouldn't be standing here safe and sound!"

Joe said, "Don't treat us like fools. The only person he wanted to save was you. He only saved us because he saw that we could fight. Otherwise, why would you have the cross hanging around your neck?"

Bella tugged at Lolita's sleeve and whispered, "And this cross belongs to the village chief's daughter; we should return it to her."

Jesse looked at the four of them; it seemed there was at least one sensible person among them. Otherwise, he would have been looking for a way to get the cross back.

Lolita looked a little pale. She glanced at Bella, who avoided Lolita's gaze. Bella had been rescued because she was standing close to Lolita.

"I see."

Lolita took off the cross hanging around her neck and walked toward the village chief with it in her hand.

Tears welled in the village chief's eyes as he carefully examined the cross, on which were the initials of his daughter's name. The thought that his daughter would never use it again filled him with resentment towards these people.

As these people were about to enter the dense forest, they encountered many people from the surrounding area who were all trying to dissuade them from entering, because it was very dangerous inside and there were real vampires.

However, none of these people were willing to believe it, and they even said they wanted to go on an adventure and debunk the rumors.

Lolita stopped in front of the village chief and said, "I'm sorry, but I'm also very grateful that this cross saved our lives."

However, she was a little reluctant to take out the cross now; she still wanted to go find that boy.

Seeing this, the village chief took the crucifix from her hand and carefully placed it into the holy water beside her. After the crucifix lit up with a white light again, the village chief took it out and sadly put it away.

Seeing the village chief's actions, Lolita suddenly spoke up, "Village chief, could you lend me this cross? I need to go find someone."

The village chief shook his head and refused, "These are my daughter's things, and I don't want to lend them out. Of course, if you really need them, you can have one custom-made."

“But that would take a long time, and he might not be able to wait that long.”

Lolita was thinking of snatching it from the village chief. But there were other villagers around the chief, and Jesse and Kyle were nearby, so she didn't dare.

Joe and another boy, Ken, were getting ready to go back when Bella came over and said to Lolita, "Lolita, let's go back too."

Lolita was a little resentful towards Bella at this point. If Bella hadn't said that it belonged to the village chief's daughter, she wouldn't have had to return it!

Seeing that Lolita's expression was off, Bella reached out to grab Lolita's hand, but Lolita slapped her hand away and said with her head down, "If you don't want to look, I'll keep looking."

Lolita picked up her bag and went into the dense forest. She thought: The man is neither in the village nor in the forest. Perhaps he went to the castle.

"Lolita!"

Bella wanted to chase after her, but Joe stopped her, saying, "Don't worry about her, let her go. If she can't find her, she'll come back on her own."

“But it will be dangerous for her to be alone.” Bella looked at Jesse and Kyle.

These two are vampire hunters; they should be willing to help, right?

Jesse pretended not to notice Bella's gaze, but Kyle thought Jesse was being incredibly rude and lacked any gentlemanly manners. He turned to Bella and said, "Beautiful lady, do you need any help right now?"

Bella nodded quickly and said, "Can I ask you for help? Can you help my friend find the person she's looking for?"

Kyle said with some difficulty, "How much can you pay me? And is there a time requirement? I usually pay by the hour."

Lolita wasn't moving fast, and when she heard this, she slowly stopped. Would Bella and the others be willing to pay for this?

Bella thought about it and decided that since she couldn't stay with Lolita any longer, she would help pay for it.

Joe and Ken, who was standing next to him, had the same idea, so they asked, "How much?"

Kyle raised his left hand, fingers spread, and said, "Five gold coins, one hour."
