Chapter 343 Cats: Scottish Fold Cat 1

There's an alley in Fuzhou, and deep inside it is a cat cafe.

The cat café is full of adorable cats, and many people enjoy coming here to pet them every day.

However, no one knows that the cats in the cat cafe migrated from the distant planet Meow to Earth.

Because the planet Cat Planet is no longer suitable for habitation; it experiences severe acid rain there.

On ordinary days, it's fine when it doesn't rain, but when it does rain, the ground will be corroded by the rainwater, leaving a pit. If a cat doesn't hide, it will get hurt if it gets a little bit of acid rain on it.

Therefore, the cats came to Earth.

Some cats grow up and can transform into humans, while others remain as cubs and can only meow.

Every now and then, the cats would gather together to share what they had seen and heard on Earth.

The original owner was a cat. She was a little timid. Once, when she was delivering coffee, she was so startled by a car horn that her cat ears popped out.

She put on her hat very quickly, but she was still spotted.

Not long after, she was captured and sent for research.

That research institute was not an officially certified institution, but rather a self-funded organization established by a group of eccentric individuals who claimed that everything they did was to explore the unknown.

To prevent anyone from finding information about other cats through her, the original owner committed suicide.

When Ah Li woke up, she was in the classroom. She reached out and touched her ears; they were normal, not cat ears.

Ahri also found a notebook on the table with a diary written in it.

June 15th, Weather: Sunny

That person took my cup by mistake and hasn't given it back yet. Didn't he notice the cat paw pattern on the cup?

This is the original owner's diary; she had been keeping this notebook since the beginning of the school year.

Just then, the bell rang, signaling the end of get out of class.

Ali put the light purple notebook with a few cat paw prints on the cover into her backpack and prepared to go back.

As Ahri went down the stairs, she noticed the person who had taken the wrong cup.

That person had delicate, handsome features, a high, straight nose, and beautifully shaped lips with a slight upward curve. His skin was also very fair. His handsomeness wasn't the flamboyant or aggressive kind, but rather a restrained and gentle kind.

Ahri stopped in her tracks, and the man also looked toward the stairs. He was holding a black thermos with several white cat paw prints on it.

The original owner noticed that this person had drunk water from the cup, so she didn't dare ask for it back. Even if she did, she wouldn't dare to use it to drink more water.

And this person's own cup, no one knows where it went.

Ahri withdrew her gaze and left the teaching building.

Because they were in different classes, she was on the third floor and he was on the first floor.

Ahri also noticed that the person was walking behind her at a leisurely pace.

However, there were quite a few students with him, who had finished class and were going home for dinner.

Ahri went to the bike shed, got her bicycle, and rode it home.

Back home, Ahri didn't look through the original owner's previous diary. Instead, she continued writing under that passage: "[When get out of class ended, I ran into him again. He was still holding my thermos.]"

The notebook contained the original owner's diary entries, most of which were about that person, Si Nanfeng, a well-known academic star in the grade.

However, she is a cat, and cannot be with humans from Earth, otherwise her identity will be discovered.

Therefore, the original owner's affection was hidden between the lines of the notebook she wrote.

Just then, a noise came from the window.

A ragdoll cat jumped in and said to Ali, "What are you doing? I called you several times and you didn't answer."

Ali put the notebook back in the drawer and said, "I was a little sleepy and didn't hear you."

"So I told you not to go to school, why do you insist on going?"

The Ragdoll cat ran up to the cat shelf, climbed to the very top, and played with a ball.

Ahri smiled without saying anything. The original owner liked making friends with Earthlings, and she also liked the sound of students reading aloud and the atmosphere on campus.

"Stop pretending to be human, turn back into a cat and come play with me."

The original owner was a Scottish Fold cat with short legs. Therefore, since she was able to transform into a human, she rarely turned back into a cat.

After the ragdoll cat finished meowing, seeing that Ahri didn't move, it stopped meowing as well.

Ali picked up his pen and continued doing his homework.

In addition, cats have small appetites. A little milk and a sandwich are enough to fill Ali up, and that solves his dinner problem.

The Ragdoll cat is still there, still asleep on the cat shelf.

After finishing his homework, Ali didn't go outside for a walk. Instead, he sat by the window, looking at the scenery outside and the birds flying in the sky.

The next day, on her way to school, Ah Li met Si Nanfeng again.

He and many others stood at the school gate, wearing red armbands. They were catching people who weren't wearing school uniforms or whose attire was inappropriate.

Ahri walked past him; today, this person wasn't carrying his thermos.

Si Nanfeng looked at Ah Li, and Ah Li looked at him in return.

Their eyes met briefly before they looked away together.

There was an exam a couple of days ago, and the results came out today.

Si Nanfeng was also the top student in his grade, and his name was at the very top.

When there were fewer people, Ahri and the others stood there searching for her name, which was over a thousandth of the way down.

Just as Ah Li was about to step back, she caught a glimpse of someone holding a familiar black thermos cup out of the corner of her eye.

Ah Li turned her head and saw Si Nanfeng standing quietly behind her, like a painting.

Ahri also noticed that she was in the man's eyes, very clearly, especially the cat ears on his head.
