The bandits didn't release the girl they had captured. Instead, they tied her up and pushed her around to find Ah Li.
Ahri was washing clothes by the river when she quickly sensed someone watching her from the shadows, a feeling that made her very uncomfortable.
Ahri didn't turn around, pretending not to know.
Ali quickly washed the clothes, then stood up with the basin in his arms, ready to go back.
After the bandits saw Ah Li's appearance, their expressions turned lewd. They casually threw the tied-up girl aside and began to discuss how to tie Ah Li up.
The girl who was tied up only had her hands tied; her feet were not. She was slowly moving backward.
Suddenly, her eyes lit up as several hunters from the village appeared in the distance.
She struggled to her feet, then, taking advantage of the bandits' inattention, hurriedly ran towards the hunters, shouting, "Help!"
When the bandits turned around at the sound, they saw several tall and strong hunters had already arrived. It was impossible for them to go over and capture the man at this point.
So, the bandits exchanged glances and chased after Ah Li in the direction he had left.
The girl knew Ah Li was in danger, but she still closed her eyes and fainted when a hunter helped her up.
Ahri heard hurried footsteps behind her, and the village hunters chasing after her, shouting, "Stop!"
Someone even shouted, "Silly girl, get out of the way!"
But it was too late.
Ahri was hoisted onto the shoulder by one of the bandits, and the clothes Ahri was holding fell to the ground.
The bandits, accustomed to roaming the mountains and forests, quickly disappeared carrying Ah Li.
The hunters were extremely anxious because they had not caught up with the man.
Someone said, "Go find Grandpa Wang!"
Ahri cried out twice when she was first being carried, but stopped crying out when she saw that no one was chasing after her.
They're bandits again.
She happened to raid the bandit's den and wipe them all out, which can be considered as eliminating a scourge for the people and doing a good deed.
In the village, after the girl was brought home, Grandpa Wang was waiting for her to wake up at her house.
Upon seeing that she was awake, he immediately went up to her and asked, "Who were those people who tied you up?"
The girl clutched the blanket, still shaken, and said, "They're bandits. I wonder which mountain they're from."
Grandpa Wang swayed, pushed away the villagers who came to help him, and after a while, he turned and left.
The girl bit her lower lip. She didn't mean to lure people over; she was just too scared.
After Grandpa Wang returned home, he immediately found the small bamboo tube, found an open space, opened it, and placed it directly into the air.
A whistling arrow shot out from a small bamboo tube, and when it was placed in the air, a bright red pattern lit up and lingered for a long time.
"Siming, whether Ah Li lives or dies depends on you."
Grandpa Wang murmured, his eyes instantly welling up with tears, but he still managed to hold back his sobs.
Ahri is still waiting for them; they can't panic, and they can't cry.
Inside the bandit's den, Ah Li was treated to good food and drink.
Because Ahri is not only good-looking, but also quiet and well-behaved.
The bandits who brought her back, though they found Ah Li a bit strange, still secretly pointed to her head and said, "I think I heard someone call her 'Silly Girl' just now. Is her brain not quite right?"
"Tch, who cares if she's smart or not? As long as the boss is comfortable, we're comfortable too. Maybe he can even make us brothers happy later."
The bandits locked Ah Li in the cell and then left, chatting and laughing.
Ah Li walked to the prison gate, glanced at the loosely locked iron lock, and knew that these bandits really thought she was a fool.
However, from what the bandits said along the way, Ah Li learned that at this time, the bandits in the bandit dens had all gone down the mountain to rob and plunder, and there were not many bandits left on the mountain.
If we want to wipe out the bandits all at once, we'll have to wait until the day the bandits' leader celebrates his birthday before we make our move.
On that day, I believe many bandits will return to celebrate their so-called leader's birthday.
And so, Ah Li waited quietly in the bandit's den.
Sometimes, the bandits would let Ah Li go out for some fresh air and to see the scenery, euphemistically saying, "It can help him get used to life in the mountains."
Ahri was just pretending to be stupid, occasionally picking a flower and tucking it behind her ear, or just sitting there blankly.
Even though the bandits wanted to take action, they were afraid of their leader and dared not make a move.
Ah Li never expected that she would run into the returning leader, Shi Lang, during her daytime exercise.
Stone Wolf was a burly man in his thirties. He had a scar on his face, his left eye was missing and covered by a black cloth, and he had a full beard.
When he first saw Ah Li, he was still asking, "Whose young lady is this?"
Ah Li held a flower in her hand and said innocently, "I was kidnapped by bandits."
The bandits then explained the whole story in just a few words, concluding, "We wanted to give the chief a surprise, but instead, the chief has seen us."
Stone Wolf laughed heartily and took two steps closer to Ahri. Looking at Ahri, who resembled a delicate flower, he said, "It seems you were betrayed by your villagers. Do you hate them?"
Ah Li already knew that the bandits first captured a girl in the village, and then learned about her from that girl before they could see and capture her.
Ah Li thought to herself that she hadn't wronged or offended anyone in the village.
But to say I hate?
