Ah Li's voice was soft, "Lin He, let him go."
Jun Linhe held Ah Li tightly, not daring to look at the injuries on Ah Li's body, and he did not respond.
Ahri whispered, "I just want you and your sister to be alright and to leave this place safely."
Jun Linhe still did not respond, fearing that if he opened his mouth, the army would collapse.
Ah Li seemed too weak to speak, but she still smiled and said, "I didn't know Lin He was so powerful that he could protect me."
The man standing behind the madam was about to make a threat, saying he would send someone to kill Jun Linhe, but when he saw that Ah Li was still standing, he said incredulously, "This person is indeed resilient. He can still stand up and walk out."
For some reason, the madam suddenly felt a pang of panic and looked at Ah Li.
The next second, Ahri's hand, which was holding Jun Linhe's sleeve, slowly fell down, and her head drooped even lower.
Jun Linhe seemed unable to hold Ah Li any longer, so he sat down on the stairwell with her in his arms.
The female teacher was standing closest, so she noticed it the fastest. She squatted down, took Ah Li's hand, and even touched her nose.
That's all?
Jun Linhe hugged Ah Li tightly. He found that he couldn't make a sound in his throat, as if something was blocking it. He looked down at Ah Li, and she became quiet.
Junru rushed upstairs in a panic. She knelt down, grasped Ali's hand, and tears streamed down her face, falling onto Ali. "Ali!"
The girl stood to the side and cried too. It was her fault; she shouldn't have called her out. If she hadn't called, the girl might have survived.
Before the madam could react, a lot of silver notes were stuffed into her hand, and she heard someone say, "This money is for cleaning up the mess. It's just that the girls in your brothel are too cheap to handle, and it's all gone now."
The madam really wanted to throw money at this man, but she didn't.
The man chuckled and said, "Solve it like last time. You know that reporting it to the authorities won't do any good."
Jun Linhe held Ah Li tightly. He didn't look at the man. He would listen to her. He and his mother would leave here safely.
At some point, the female teacher took Jun Linhe's longsword and whispered, "She doesn't want anything to happen to you."
The man stopped looking this way and swaggered out, saying as he went, "Thinking about it now, it felt wonderful, absolutely intoxicating. It's a pity he had such a short life."
Jun Linhe tried to kill him just now, but he failed and managed to dodge. However, he will not let him go.
The madam looked at the countless silver notes in her hand and said in a hoarse voice, "Carry her back, tidy her up properly, and I'll go and have someone buy a coffin."
Once the girls in the building died, most of them were simply wrapped in straw mats and buried in a random hole.
But Ahri is different.
