Chapter 420 The Deaf and Mute Shared Wife 8

Once Li Wenping was out of sight, Uncle Chen looked at Ali and said, "Go pack your things. I'll take you to the carriage in the mansion."

Ah Li couldn't hear anything, but she saw the man's lips moving up and down, and then he stood there without moving.

Uncle Chen waited for a while, and seeing that Ali didn't move, he assumed that there was nothing to pack, so he said, "Then come with me."

This time, Ahri realized it and decided to go with him.

Ah Li followed behind Uncle Chen, who didn't make things difficult for her and led her to the Prime Minister's carriage.

"This is the carriage in the manor. Please get on."

Uncle Chen was in a hurry to go ahead and keep an eye on things, so he left without checking whether Ah Li had boarded the carriage.

The carriage stopped behind, while the excitement was all in front, so Ahri was now all alone.

The original owner's father and his group made their move.

Ahri was suddenly pulled, and when she turned around, she was filled with panic and dared not move.

The original owner's father wasn't afraid of Ah Li's shouts and yells; he just grabbed the person and left.

Ahri didn't struggle much; such family members deserved to be put on trial.

The original owner's father thought the woman was just scared out of her wits. He even told his sons, "Look at her like this, she's obviously been raised very well. In the future, you guys shouldn't be too rough with her."

This family was used to being lazy and good-for-nothing, and they never thought about whether it was right or wrong. They even replied, "Father, don't worry, we know what we're doing."

After walking for more than half an hour, Ah Li was finally taken back by the original owner's father from the side path.

As soon as they got back, Ah Li was locked in the house.

At this moment, the original owner floated in front of Ah Li, looking at Ah Li with a sad expression, "How did you get caught by them again?"

Ahri didn't expect the original owner to still be there. She looked at the original owner and said, "You're still unwilling to leave because you want to see what kind of retribution they'll receive, right? Now, their retribution has come, and I am their retribution."

The original owner discovered that Ahri had taken out a stick from somewhere and was swinging it around quite fiercely.

After the people outside had finished eating and drinking, they unlocked the door, kicked it open, and came in. The last person even closed the door behind them.

The original owner's father was still sitting in the courtyard, drinking several mouthfuls of wine and popping a few peanuts into his mouth.

Hearing the muffled groans coming from inside the house, he laughed, got up to lock the courtyard gate, and went to that house.

Inside the locked room, people lay sprawled on the floor. Ah Li held a stick in her hand, looking at the door that had been pushed open again.

Before the man could even see what was inside the house, Ah Li slammed a stick down on him.

The original owner was dumbfounded standing to the side. So why did she let this person escape in the first place? Wouldn't it have been better if she had just taken action herself?

Ahri gave the original owner a stick. Should we give him a few more whacks to vent our anger?

The original owner shook his head, "No need. I'm happy to see them get their comeuppance."

The original owner bowed gracefully to Ah Li and slowly disappeared.

Ahri looked at the stick in her hand. She always killed with one blow, clean and efficient, but the force was too great, and blood splattered on her, which was quite troublesome.

Ahri lifted her skirt and used it to wipe the stick clean.

Ah Li looked outside again; the courtyard was quiet.

Ah Li looked around at the ground and checked each animal with a stick to make sure they were all dead before she went to the original owner's house, if it could even be considered a house.

It was a very dilapidated woodshed, drafty from all sides, and didn't even have a decent bed. There was just a wooden plank on the ground and a brick as a pillow.

Isn't it said that the youngest daughter is the most favored?

Ahri closed the wobbly door; she was leaving too.

The moment the door closed, Ah Li's eyes reddened. The three Xue brothers were clearly from wealthy and noble families, not people she could even dream of.

All these years have been nothing but a fleeting dream.

Ahri looked at the dress she had just changed out of. The coarse linen clothes she was wearing were more comfortable. The clothes Ahri was wearing were still her mother's.

The original owner's mother either ran away or something else, but her clothes were still there.

Of course, the blood-stained dress needed to be washed before returning it, but Ahri didn't want to. So, Ahri just tossed it aside and walked away nonchalantly.

Ah Li was thinking of going to other villages to see if she could meet an honest man, since she still needed to have babies.

Ah Li continued walking along the path. For the past two years, she had been confined to the house and not allowed to go anywhere. She was completely numb to being locked up.

Now the sky is high and the sea is wide, and birds can fly freely.

Meanwhile, on the other side...

Li Qingruo cried when she put on her usual silk and satin clothes.

She was still standing behind the Crown Prince, secretly observing Xue Rongyu, Nangong Xuan, and Li Wenping who appeared later.

She didn't know who she would fall for, and the Grand Tutor even said that they had been hiding their identities and protecting them in secret all these years.

Li Qingruo blushed even more. Who were the three of them usually?

The Prime Minister also arrived. He and the Grand Tutor discussed the changes in the court over the past two years, and also mentioned how many people had devoted themselves to this cause, even unto death.

The Crown Prince knew that this was to first ask for rewards and to remember their hard work and great contributions, and he agreed to all of that. He also said that the first thing he would do after returning to the palace was to reward the people mentioned by the Grand Tutor and the Prime Minister according to their merits.

Many ministers who came to fetch the crown prince and princess heard the commotion.

The Grand Tutor and the Prime Minister were satisfied, and only then did they allow the Crown Prince and Princess to board the carriage and set off for the palace.

Xue Rongyu's face was sullen, and Nangong Xuan even pulled Li Wenping back from running away again.

Li Wenping couldn't break free. He said, "What? I still need to go back and find Xiaocao."
