Ah Li opened the door, and Chi Yu Huan was standing where she had just been standing.
The old lady didn't lower her voice intentionally; he could hear her even standing outside.
Ali walked over to pull the suitcase away, but Chi Yuhuan held onto it and said, "Why do you call me Mr. Chi?"
Ahri looked into his eyes, then at the ring on his left middle finger, and said, "You're married."
She noticed it from the very beginning.
Chi Yuhuan hurriedly unbuttoned his collar and pulled out a silver chain with a ring hanging from it. He said excitedly, "My wife is only you, no one else."
Since he lost contact with Ali, he bought a pair of wedding rings himself. He wore the men's ring on his hand and the women's ring around his neck.
No one had ever seen his wife, but everyone knew he was married.
But after waiting for so long, this person finally appeared without offering any explanation or showing any intention of continuing to be with him.
Chi Yuhuan forcefully took off the ring from his hand. He pointed to the inner band of the ring and said to Ali, "Your initials, Tang Youli, are in here, and my initials, Chi Yuhuan, are in here around my neck."
Is there really no possibility for me to be with you?
Chi Yuhuan's eyes were red, and his hands were trembling.
Ah Li moved her hand, pulled over her suitcase, and gave Chi Yuhuan a deep look.
This person is not someone you should easily provoke from the start; if you do, you have to be prepared to be tied to him forever.
And she was with him when he had just lost his dearest person, when he was at his most vulnerable...
The old lady called out to Ali, and Ali pushed one of the suitcases over and said to Chi Yuhuan, "Take my luggage back to the room and unpack it."
Chi Yuhuan packed Ahri's luggage many times.
He looked at the silver-gray suitcase and the small suitcase beside him. He pressed his fist to his lips, unable to hide his excitement. She was willing to be with him.
My heart, which had been pounding, began to pound with joy again because of Ahri's words.
After changing her clothes, the old lady noticed that her suitcase was the only one in the room. She looked at Ah Li and asked, "Are you going to continue being with him?"
"Yes, we had planned to get married as soon as he came of age, but then something happened in the family, and that delayed things."
"Then why hasn't he gone abroad to find you in these past few years? Is he short of a plane ticket?"
“I didn’t intend to contact him; I unilaterally blocked him because I was worried that my family issues would affect him.”
At this moment, the old lady looked at the house and then at Ali, "You didn't buy this house for him, did you?"
"Yes," Ahri admitted.
The old lady shook her head helplessly and didn't intend to stop Ali. She said, "You're overthinking things. Now stop standing here in my way and keep it down so as not to disturb us."
"Grandma, thank you."
Ah Li stepped forward and hugged the old lady.
The old lady smiled and looked at Ah Li: "Back then, he would come to our house as a driver. Didn't you already have him in your heart?"
"Um."
The old lady patted Ali on the shoulder and said, "Get your marriage certificate as soon as possible. I won't interfere in your affairs."
Ali wanted to go see Dou Dou, but the old lady pushed him out.
Before closing the door, the old lady said, "Talk to him nicely; he still cares about you."
"Know."
When Ahri came out, her suitcase was gone.
She slowly walked towards the master bedroom, where the door was open and Chi Yuhuan was packing her luggage.
Upon entering the room, the first thing Ah Li noticed was a new photo on the wall, above the bed—her wedding photo with Chi Yu Huan.
Chi Yuhuan was hanging Ah Li's clothes next to his own when he noticed that Ah Li had discovered the photo. He explained in a low voice, "This is something I photoshopped earlier."
Ahri closed the door and found that the clothes in the suitcase were almost all packed.
Ali walked over to Chi Yuhuan and took out one of his white shirts from the wardrobe. "You don't mind if I wear your clothes, do you?"
"I don't mind."
Chi Yuhuan had grown taller and stronger. Ali didn't make a move on her; instead, he took Chi Yuhuan's white shirt into the bathroom in the room.
A sound of running water was heard. Chi Yuhuan took out his phone and sent a message to the work group: "My wife won't let me go out for the next couple of days, so I'm asking for leave."
The next second, someone replied below, "[Is it really your wife who won't let you go out again? Is it true? There are always two or three days a month when your wife won't let you leave the house.]"
Some people even replied, "Approved! I grant it!"
Chi Yuhuan closed her empty suitcase with great pleasure and even pushed it into a closet in another room to hide it.
He also looked at the room the old lady had chosen; it was very quiet, and when buying the house, Ali had specifically requested that it have good soundproofing.
Chi Yuhuan went back to her room and locked it.
Chi Yuhuan walked to the bathroom door and found that the door was not closed properly. Just as he was about to remind her, a slender, fair hand reached out from inside and pulled him inside.
Inside the bathroom, Ah Li was unhappily unbuttoning Chi Yuhuan's clothes, saying, "She doesn't even know how to take them off herself."
"Feel sorry."
Chi Yuhuan wanted to do it herself, but Ah Li kissed her.
Chi Yuhuan's clothes also fell to the ground during the entanglement between the two.
...
When DouDou woke up, the old lady fed DouDou.
Dou Dou didn't cry for his mother; he sat quietly at the table and ate his meal.
The old lady would glance at Ali and the others' room from time to time. She understood that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but they couldn't just skip meals.
