Chapter 457 The Palace Maid Who Wanted to Leave the Palace (5)

That time, Su Wenqin was taken back by Liu Luoxue and his eyes were cured.

However, Su Wenqin loathed and rejected all women who came near him; even Liu Luoxue couldn't get too close to him.

When Su Wenheng learned of this, he was very happy and wanted to comfort Liu Luoxue.

As a result, he was ambushed by Su Wenqin and his men. Caught off guard, he was injured in the eyes by poison powder. Fortunately, he dodged in time, otherwise, he might have gone blind.

Su Wenheng kept glancing at Ali, wondering how Su Wenqin had recognized that the ugly woman wasn't her.

Ah Li looked over, and Su Wenheng, his inquisitive expression changing, said, "There's an inn up ahead. Let's stay there tonight."

"You can arrange it."

Ah Li slowly followed Su Wenheng.

The people accompanying Su Wenheng went to scout the location early in the morning to make sure there was no danger inside before they asked the waiter to open a room.

When Su Wenheng arrived at the inn, he went straight to his room. Ali was assigned to the room to his left, and the others were all scattered around.

While waiting for dinner, Su Wenheng invited Ali to eat with him.

Upon arriving at the inn's lobby, Ali spotted Su Wenqin.

Su Wenqin was dressed in black, and a sword was placed beside him.

Su Wenheng seemed oblivious to what was happening. He found a table and sat down, with his men sitting next to him.

It seemed that Su Wenqin was alone; there was only wine on his table.

Ahri glanced at it once and then looked away.

The waiter quickly brought the food over, glancing at it from time to time, then at Su Wenqin.

Ah Li didn't move; she didn't believe that someone had poisoned the food.

Su Wenheng picked up his chopsticks to eat, but Ali stopped him with her chopsticks, saying, "Don't eat, this food has been poisoned."

Su Wenheng looked at Ah Li, then glanced around at the surroundings. "It's him."

His eyes were injured, so he couldn't see very far and didn't notice Su Wenqin's arrival.

Su Wenqin's lips curled into a cold smile as he slowly walked towards Su Wenheng.

Ah Li tried to stand up, but Su Wenheng grabbed her and said, "Don't move yet."

A silent contest quietly unfolded in the inn's lobby.

Soon, Su Wenqin arrived with the wine. He sat down next to Su Wenheng and said, "Tell me where that person is, and I'll give you the antidote, okay?"

Su Wenheng sat up straight and looked towards Su Wenqin. "Who is it?"

"That woman in the cold palace."

Apart from Su Wenheng, no one else had ever seen that damned woman.

The last time he met the pockmarked woman, she had no injuries, but he remembered that he had bitten off a piece of flesh from her neck.

Ahri smelled the aroma of wine; it was mulberry wine.

She then looked at Su Wenqin; this man really held a grudge.

"Didn't you kill her?"

"That's not her. Did you hide her?"

Su Wenqin stood up, looked at Su Wenheng, and said, "Hand her over, and I'll let you go."

"You're looking for her, aren't you just trying to kill her? She's already dead."

"If he really died, where did you leave him?"

Su Wenheng laughed, "Could it be that you miss the feeling of that person?"

Su Wenqin instantly went berserk. He shattered the table with a single palm strike and then attacked Su Wenheng.

Ali also joined in, grabbing Su Wenheng by the collar and pulling him away.

Su Wenqin glared at Ah Li and attacked her.

Ali was holding Su Wenheng by the collar as he hid. Su Wenheng said to Ali, somewhat uncomfortable, "Ali, let go first."

"Um."

"It's you!"

Su Wenqin suddenly stopped and looked at Ali. He recognized the voice; even if she only said one word, he would recognize it.

Ali also took Su Wenheng to a safe place and had others protect him.

Ah Li didn't speak. She looked at the broken bowls, chopsticks, and food on the ground.

She was genuinely a little hungry.

Before Su Wenqin could react, Ahri rushed towards him and started fighting with him.

Ali would occasionally touch Su Wenqin inappropriately, saying, "So you still remember what happened that night? Do you really miss it?"

"But I must say, you're quite impressive."

When Ahri said those two sentences, a creepy, wicked smile lingered on her lips.

Su Wenqin retreated in annoyance, because as soon as he clashed with Ali, he realized that he was no match for her at all.

However, Ahri still attacked him and forced him to leave the inn.

Ahri really wanted to kill this person; otherwise, it was quite annoying that someone was always secretly trying to kill her.

The two fought like this until they reached a precipice.

Su Wenqin was injured by Ah Li, and there was still a trace of blood on the corner of his mouth. Behind him was a cliff, and many stones were falling from the edge of the cliff.

Ah Li raised her palm to attack, but Su Wenqin suddenly closed his eyes, looking like he wanted to die, and fell backward on his own.

This is perplexing behavior.

Ahri instinctively reached out, grabbed the person's collar, and pulled them back to the edge of the cliff. "What's wrong? It's just that I slept with you once, and you're acting like you're going to die?"

Su Wenqin sat half-sitting on the edge of the cliff. He raised his head and glared at Ali, but there was not much hatred in his eyes. Instead, there was a hint of confusion. Why did she still save him?

Seeing that the man was still quite calm, Ah Li continued, "The moment we met, you were all shouting for a fight. You didn't suffer any losses then, and you were quite comfortable, weren't you?"

Su Wenqin's face turned pale and then red, and then he spat out another mouthful of blood.
