Chapter 467 The Unreturnable White Moonlight 5

As soon as Ali stepped into the snack section, a variety of packaging and the aroma of snacks wafted over him, making him dizzy with delight.

Ahri wandered excitedly between the shelves, picking up this to look at it every now and then, and then putting that down.

Xu Mingge followed silently from the side, or took the hesitant snacks from Ali's hand and carefully studied the ingredient list.

"This chocolate looks good; it's your favorite dark chocolate flavor."

Xu Mingge picked up a beautifully packaged box of chocolates and handed it to Ali, her eyes full of tenderness.

When Ali tried to take the chocolate, Xu Mingge didn't let go. He suddenly said, "Su Li, I like you."

Ah Li stared blankly at Xu Mingge, who had confessed his feelings right there!

However, I don't know why, but it feels a little romantic.

Ahri deliberately asked, "What do you mean by 'I love you'?"

Xu Mingge blushed, a rare occurrence for him, and said, "It means I like you."

"Yeah, I like you a tiny bit too."

Ali took the chocolates from Xu Ming's shop, put them in the shopping cart, and said, "Let's go check out."

The shopping cart wasn't full, and Ali didn't buy many snacks, but she gained Xu Mingge's affection for her, which made her feel sweet.

After they came out of the supermarket, they walked home together.

Ali and Xu Mingge each held one of the shopping bags by the handle. Ali said, "Thank you, Xu Mingge. Otherwise, with so many bags and so heavy, I really wouldn't be able to manage by myself."

"It's okay, I'm glad I could help you."

Xu Mingge smiled at Ali. Actually, he could lift it by himself, but this was fine too.

Along the way, there were bustling crowds and vehicles coming and going.

Xu Mingge intentionally let Ah Li walk inside while he walked outside.

Ahri also said, "I should have known better than to drive."

As Xu Mingge listened to Ali's ramblings, he felt that this was quite nice, and he felt a sense of happiness that he could continue like this with Ali.

However, when Ali and Xu Mingge arrived at their doorstep, Ali's parents were already waiting there.

Ali's parents looked at Ali, and then at Xu Mingge, their eyes filled with displeasure.

Xu Mingge pursed her lips; it seemed her parents didn't like him very much.

"Ah Li".

Ali's mother, Ms. Wang Qi, called out to Ali, then nudged Su Guodong beside her, "Aren't you going to help your daughter pick her up?"

Su Guodong responded and walked over to Ali, saying, "I'll carry it."

"Hello, Uncle."

Xu Mingge slowly loosened his grip.

Su Guodong looked at Xu Mingge expressionlessly, without responding.

Ah Li asked, "Dad, Mom, why are you back so soon?"

Wang Qi gave a half-hearted, fake smile, "If you hadn't come back early, I wouldn't have known what you were doing hiding from us."

"What are you doing?"

Ah Li walked up to Wang Qi without understanding why.

Wang Qi urged her, "Hurry up and open the door. You haven't been home since early this morning."

"Didn't you take your keys with you when you went out?"

Ah Li muttered to herself, and Wang Qi didn't explain. She did bring it, but she just wanted Ah Li to open the door. She didn't like Ah Li and Xu Mingge standing too close.

Everyone around here knows her; some people saw her precious daughter walking with Xu Mingge, the guy across the street who likes to play video games.

She received the message while she was already on her way back.

At this moment, Wang Qi pushed Ali's shoulder and pushed her into the house, preventing Ali from staying outside.

Su Guodong then looked at Xu Mingge and said, "Would you like to come in and sit down?"

He asked the question, but his face clearly showed he wasn't welcoming.

Xu Mingge could tell, so he said, "No need, Uncle."

Su Guodong then smiled and said, "Thank you for today, for helping Ali carry these things back."

"It's okay, I happen to have some time."

Xu Mingge had barely finished speaking when a voice rang out from inside the room: "Didn't I tell you not to hang out with him?!"

Wang Qi's voice came out unexpectedly, and Xu Mingge, who was still standing outside, was stunned.

"Why can't I play with him? Besides, I'm not a child anymore, I can make my own judgments."

"Su Li, have you grown too big for your britches?!"

"You're always like this, telling me not to hang out with this person or that person, but have you ever bothered to get to know them? Besides, he lives right across the street from us, we know each other inside and out, what's wrong with us hanging out together?"

"What do you mean by 'walking together,' Su Li? Explain yourself!"

Wang Qi's voice was about to crack.

"I like him."

Ali dislikes Wang Qi's behavior. Xu Mingge is still outside; if there's anything, they can wait until he leaves before talking to him.

Say it again.

"I won't repeat myself, Ms. Wang Qi. I hope you can reflect on yourself. Some people are not as they appear, nor are they as others describe them. You need to understand them yourself."

Ah Li walked confidently into the kitchen. The ice cream that Xu Mingge had left there was still there, and Ah Li wanted to return it to Xu Mingge.

Ali opened the refrigerator, took out the bag of ice cream, and walked towards the door.

Wang Qi was furious when she noticed that Ali was carrying a bag of ice cream. She yelled, "Su Li, who told you to buy ice cream! Don't you know these things are inedible? Throw them away right now!"

That's how it is; if the adults are even slightly unhappy, she starts yelling at the children.

Ah Li felt inexplicably wronged. She looked at Su Guodong and said, "Dad, you should control your wife."
