Ah Li burst into tears again, burying her face in Zhou Yunsheng's arms. She reached out and hugged him tightly, crying, "It's me, it's really me! I'm not a demon anymore, I can be with you! Brother Zhou, do you... still want me?"
Zhou Yunsheng hugged Ali tightly. How could he not want her? He was willing to wait as long as she came back.
Finally, Ah Li cried herself to sleep, and Zhou Yunsheng carried her back home.
They returned to a large house behind the clinic. From the moment they entered, Ali noticed that the house was decorated with red silk, red double happiness characters on the doors and windows, and dragon and phoenix wedding candles in the main hall. It was clear at a glance that someone had gotten married here.
Ali, who had been clinging to Zhou Yunsheng's neck, looking like she had just finished crying, looked at the scene before her and asked Zhou Yunsheng somewhat nervously, "You're married?"
"Yes, he married a memorial tablet."
Zhou Yunsheng wasn't embarrassed, nor did he think he was stupid. The moment he hugged Ali, he knew she had returned. The feeling of being able to hold her in his arms again sent tremors through his soul—she had really come back.
When Ah Li thought about how Zhou Yunsheng held the memorial tablet during the wedding ceremony, and then lay on the wedding bed with the tablet still in his arms, she felt incredibly sad. She raised her head, kissed Zhou Yunsheng's chin, and then hugged his neck to kiss him on the lips.
Zhou Yunsheng's eyes slowly hardened, and he said, "No rush, let me take you to wash up first."
Ah Li was still thinking that Zhou Yunsheng was quite particular.
But when Zhou Yunsheng pressed her against the edge of the pool and held her tightly again and again, she realized that although Zhou Yunsheng looked gentle, he was incredibly skilled in this area.
Six years later, when the two met for the first time, Ali was tossed and turned over and over, and a pair of bracelets were put on her wrists. They were the surprise that Zhou Yunsheng wanted to give Ali when he left the clinic.
Zhou Yunsheng kissed the back of Ali's hand and lifted Ali out of the pool.
Inside the clinic, he didn't recognize Ah Li immediately because he didn't want to see other women. It was only after hearing the young Taoist priest call out "Ah Li" that he followed them out.
Three days later
Zhou Yunsheng kissed Ali on the forehead and said, "I'm going to the clinic. The food is in the kitchen. Remember to eat."
Ali reached her hand out from under the covers, wrapped it around Zhou Yunsheng's neck, kissed his lips, and said, "I'll bring you food later."
Zhou Yunsheng was somewhat surprised, "You can cook?"
"Of course."
Ali let go of his hand, but Zhou Yunsheng kissed Ali again, pressing her down and giving her a series of kisses.
He slowly backed away after Ah Li had said enough, and told Ah Li to get some rest.
Ah Li wanted to say that as long as he didn't bother her, she would definitely get a good rest.
As Zhou Yunsheng left the room, Ali noticed a set of peach-pink dresses on the bedside table, and several sets of dresses inside the wardrobe.
Inside the clinic, Liu Yun's injuries were healed.
He glanced outside every now and then, but he didn't see Ahri.
The man in black that day seemed to know Ahri; the little demons here called him their benefactor.
At this moment, Liu Yun noticed that the man in black from that day had arrived. However, he was no longer wearing a black robe; instead, he was wearing a gray robe.
As soon as Zhou Yunsheng arrived at the clinic, he went to see Liu Yun first.
He didn't take Liu Yun's pulse, but instead glanced at her and said, "Your injuries are almost healed. You should get up and move around more."
Liu Yun didn't care about his injuries; he asked, "What about Ah Li?"
When Zhou Yunsheng thought of Ali, a gentle smile appeared on his lips. "She'll be here soon."
Liu Yun silently withdrew his gaze; there seemed to be something going on between this person and Ah Li.
Not long after, Ahri came over carrying a food box.
She cooked a simple meal, stir-fried some vegetables, and made a little soup.
At this time, Zhou Yunsheng was still busy.
Ah Li then took the food box to find Liu Yun. She had made a little extra food, thinking that Liu Yun could also eat some.
Liu Yun was walking slowly, supporting himself against the wall, when he noticed Ah Li had arrived. He also noticed that Ah Li's hair was tied up.
Liu Yun didn't ask any more questions. He was a Taoist priest and still had to go to many places to train. He had never thought about getting married.
"Liuyun, I've cooked rice and prepared some for you. Come and have some."
Just as Ali was about to open the food box, Zhou Yunsheng appeared out of nowhere. He put his hand on Ali's shoulder and said, "This person is only fit to eat plain porridge right now; he can't eat anything else."
Ali placed the food box on the table, turned around and hugged Zhou Yunsheng, kissed him, and called out, "Zhou Lang."
Zhou Yunsheng was very pleased with Ah Li's initiative. He looked at Liu Yun and, noticing that the man's gaze wasn't on them, said, "Wife, you've worked hard. You should have called me earlier so I could help you carry the food box."
"I see you're busy."
Ali took out three dishes, a soup, three bowls of rice, and three pairs of chopsticks from the food box.
She also asked Zhou Yunsheng, "So, can this person really only eat plain porridge?"
Zhou Yunsheng sat down, his hand still being held by Ah Li. He coughed lightly and said in a low voice, "This person's injuries seem to be mostly healed. He can eat some food."
The main reason was that Ahri didn't call him immediately when she came over, but instead came to see this person, which made him a little jealous. He didn't want this person to eat the food that Ahri had personally cooked.
Ah Li then said to Liu Yun, "Liu Yun, come and eat."
Liu Yun slowly walked over and sat down as well.
There's fish, vegetables, and eggs; the soup is nourishing.
Liu Yun ate in silence, while Zhou Yunsheng subtly observed him. This man had an outstanding appearance and a somewhat otherworldly air about him, unlike Zhou Yunsheng.
