After Li Guang left, Ah Li heard strange noises coming from the basement.
Ahri opened the iron door to the basement and slowly walked into it.
In the basement, someone is hanging.
If you can still be considered a person.
The man's eyes were gouged out, and his skin was peeled off.
But he was still shaking. He was like a madman, struggling to say, "You're here again... You still can't find her, can you? I told you she was eaten by zombies. When she died, she was holding a piece of candy in her hand, saying she wanted to give it to Xiaoye."
But after he finished speaking, he didn't hear anyone coming. His face held a madness that he didn't want to provoke, and he continued, "If you don't believe me, you can ask Captain Li! He saw it all. There was no body left. Do you know how much pain she was in?"
"Tang Suye! Speak up! Are you mute?"
The man's throat seemed to be injured, and the way he shouted sounded very strange.
"Just kill me! Why don't you just kill me and give me a quick death!"
The 'person' swayed its body, and soon the wounds on its body started bleeding again.
But he seemed not to feel any pain. He kept repeating those words, talking about how he tortured and killed Tang Suye's family, and how he tortured and killed them.
"Tang Suye, I'm not afraid of you! You're keeping me alive just so you can make me bow down and apologize? I won't bow down, and I won't repent for the people I've killed! Never!"
Ah Li didn't stay any longer; she knew who this person was—Old Dog.
Ahri slowly closed the iron door leading to the basement.
She returned to her original room and suddenly found that there were many more fresh flowers in the room. Some were already in bloom, while others were not, as if they had just been planted not long ago.
Was it brought by Tang Suye or Li Guang, or did both of them bring it?
Ahri opened the wardrobe; her previous clothes were still there, and they were all clean, although some of them had faded.
Ahri slowly sat on the bed, and the sounds from the basement could no longer be heard here.
I don't know how much time passed, but then someone knocked on the door.
Ali went to open the door and found Tang Suye holding a pot of flowers. He said with a smile, "Boss, I brought you flowers. This is a new variety that I just came across. It's not available here."
"Xiaoye's flowers are beautiful, thank you for your hard work."
Upon hearing Ah Li's reply, Tang Suye suddenly felt a little flustered. Then, he said, "It really isn't a dream, boss! It's so good that you're back!"
Over the years, he had knocked on the door several times, but no one ever answered. He would always open the door himself, speak these words to the empty room, put down the flowers, and tell them about what had happened that day.
Tang Suye also often has a dream in which someone gives him candy.
Here, have a piece of candy.
A candy landed in his hand. He looked at the woman in front of him. He didn't actually like candy, but he didn't throw it away.
The woman always appears in my dreams, always saying, "Catch."
He will then have an extra piece of candy in his palm.
In the dream, Uncle Li was also there. Uncle Li would ask the woman, "Boss, why do you like giving Xiaoye candy so much?"
She said, "Because I happened to have some candy on me, and Xiaoye just happened to need some."
Every time, he looked forward to dreaming, because whenever he dreamed, she would appear, give him a piece of candy, and tell him to be a very, very good person.
Until one day...
He went out to fight zombies, got injured, and almost turned into a monster himself. Everyone wanted to stay away from him and even wanted to kill him. He had another dream.
This time, in the dream, Uncle Li stood in front of him with red eyes and gave him a bag of candy.
He asked, "Where is she?"
Uncle Li seemed to be unable to hold on any longer, and burst into tears, crying, "Our leader was eaten by zombies while covering us!"
He looked down at the small bag in his hand, which contained only five or six candies, and asked, "Then why did you give me this bag of candies?"
Uncle Li started sobbing, “Because before we encountered the zombies, our boss saw candy, and she said she would bring it back to you.”
It's happening again!
He didn't even get to see her one last time; he only learned from others that she was dead because of zombies!
How could he become the kind of monster who killed her? He can't, he absolutely can't!
He still wants to kill many, many zombies to avenge her!
When the dream ended, Tang Suye opened his eyes again and found Li Guang holding water for him to drink, asking him how he felt.
He didn't turn into a zombie, and his wounds healed; it was as if he had just had a dream.
Li Guang held the candy she left behind in his hand and said, "You didn't turn into a zombie, probably because of these candies she left behind."
These sugars are very sour.
Tang Suye took the candy from Li Guang's hand and said in a hoarse voice, "I dreamed of the boss. She gave me candy, and I also dreamed that you were crying, sobbing uncontrollably."
"Nonsense, a man doesn't easily shed tears, I won't wail."
Li Guang stood up, looked at the closed door, and said, "The boss also came to my dream and told me to live well, not to live for anyone else, but to live for myself, and to take good care of you."
Therefore, during the time Tang Suye was injured and unconscious, he took Tang Suye to the warehouse.
He had already decided that if Tang Suye really turned into a monster, he would kill him with his own hands.
Fortunately, Tang Suye pulled through.
Tang Suye put the flowers down, squatted down, looked up at Ah Li, and slowly smiled, "Boss, do you have something to say to me?"
