Chapter 677 The Princess's Marriage (Part 4)

Helan Tuoqi rode a tall horse, his sharp eyes fixed on the approaching wedding procession.

Prince Qin Hai of Chen, was he really so naive as to think that no one would find out what he had done?

No, he wants to incite war.

War is inevitable.

But not now.

When Tulu arrived with his entourage, he was surprised to find that their king, Helan Tuoqi, was also there. The king seemed to value the princess sent by the Chen Kingdom.

Helan Tuoqi turned to look at the eagle perched on his shoulder. "Go."

The eagle instantly flapped its wings and soared into the sky.

Yinling lifted the carriage curtain and looked towards the place where the eagle took flight. She was very excited; she had finally returned.

The king even came to greet her personally!

The wedding procession stopped, but the carriage carrying Ah Li continued on its way.

Everyone else, whether they were ministers or guards dressed in gorgeous clothes or gentle-looking maids, stopped in their tracks.

Now they just need to wait for the handover to be completed before they can turn around and embark on their journey home.

In this quiet and solemn moment, Ahri suddenly spoke: "If you have any concerns in your hearts and are unwilling to come with me, I will definitely arrange for someone to make proper arrangements and escort you safely home."

Now, as a princess shouldering heavy responsibilities for the country, her words carry weight.

She could send her personal maid back if she wanted.

However, Yinling and Lingdang knelt down, their eyes shining with determination and loyalty: "Your Highness, we have been by your side since childhood and have long regarded you as the most important person in our lives. We are willing to follow you."

These words were spoken to Ah Li, and also to the people outside the carriage.

However, Yinling remained kneeling, a disdainful smirk playing on her lips. If they dared to return, they would likely be torn to pieces the moment they stepped off the carriage.

The bell was incredibly touched; was this person really thinking of them?

She grew up in the master's mansion and was not familiar with the princess, but she was familiar with this person.

During this time together, she still preferred serving this person, unlike when she was with her master, where she was constantly on edge.

Upon hearing this, Ah Li gently raised her hand, gesturing for them to stand up, her voice trembling with emotion: "Having you by my side is the greatest comfort of this journey."

Anyone can act.

Ahri poked her head out, as if gazing at this familiar land for the last time.

"Your Highness, may your marriage to a distant land be peaceful and successful!"

The entire wedding procession bowed in farewell, their voices converging into a powerful force that seemed to pierce through the clouds and reach the heavens.

The carriage wheels continued to roll, as if playing a long farewell tune.

As the carriage gradually disappeared into the distance, the wedding procession began to move slowly, embarking on their journey home.

?

A magnificent wedding dress, and a dazzling phoenix crown on her head.

Ahri is invisible.

She gripped the protective jade pendant tightly in her hand; it was too quiet all around.

The carriage had stopped at some point, and Yinling, who had gone down with the bell, hadn't returned yet.

Ahri looked around and suddenly stopped. Someone was watching her.

She glanced in that direction by instinct, then looked away, pursing her lips. How long had this person been here?

Helan Tuoqi told everyone to disperse, and spoke in a rough, broken Central Plains dialect: "Looks like you're the princess sent by the Chen Kingdom for a marriage alliance. Now I'm the one who's benefited!"

Then, Helan Tuoqi let out a very rough and unrestrained laugh, and he pounced on Ah Li.

"Let go of me! Don't touch me!"

"Silver bells, jingling bells!"

"And you! How dare you! Since you know my identity, you should know...!"

Ahri fell silent, because in her wild kicking and swinging, she seemed to have kicked something terrible.

The man let out a loud groan and stopped. He was still above her, and his breathing had become much heavier.

Ah Li's wrists were being held tightly and pressed against the carriage; she was terrified.

Their chests were pressed tightly together, and their breathing seemed to be synchronized.

Helan Tuoqi clenched his teeth. He wanted to let go, he wanted to check if he was alright. He felt like he was going to be crippled.

But he wanted to teach this person a lesson, especially since he hadn't even done anything to her yet, and he had already been kicked hard.

"I, Tuoqi, refuse to believe that I can be hurt by a mere woman like you!"

Helan Tuoqi spoke in their tribal language, which he assumed Ah Li wouldn't understand.

But Ah Li understood. Tuoqi, was it Helan Tuoqi? The Tuoqi Chanyu she was going to marry had that name.

Helan Tuoqi lowered his head and bit Ah Li's neck; he wanted to make this person feel pain too.

Ah Li gasped, tears streaming down her face. "No, please let me go, or I'll die."

A broken sound, pitiful pleas, and helpless sobs—Helan Tuoqi's lips landed on hers. He actually liked the scent of this person, and he also liked her soft, delicate tongue.

Just then, outside the carriage, someone spoke in their tribal language: "Your Majesty, we should set off now, or we fear the wind will be strong tonight."

In the desert, if the wind picks up and you can't find shelter, you'll definitely be buried by the sand.

Helan Tuoqi calmed his breathing; he had just been lost in her kiss.

Ahri's lips were flushed from being kissed so fiercely, her clothes were disheveled, her collar was torn open revealing a glimpse of white skin, and her slender white wrists were somewhat red and swollen.

Is she really that delicate?

Helan Tuoqi frowned, clearly not in a good mood. He slowly stood up, pinched Ah Li's chin, and said in a low, hoarse voice in the Central Plains dialect, "I will take you away. I want you to be my bandit wife."

Ahri turned her face away in humiliation, her hands trembling as she clutched her clothes.

Helan Tuoqi laughed and jumped off the carriage. He wanted Yinling to bring medicine to apply to her.

However, just as Helan Tuoqi took two steps forward, Ah Li suddenly pounced out of the carriage, holding a gold hairpin in her hand, and stabbed at the horse's rump.

The carriage was originally pulled by three strong horses, but now one of them was injured and let out a neigh, which startled the other two. They instantly galloped off in one direction.

Ah Li couldn't see or grab anything. After a violent jolt, she fell back into the carriage. There was blood on her hands; it was the horse's.

Despite the pain all over her body, Ah Li whispered, "Brother Ma, I'm sorry."

While still unconscious, Lingdang heard the sharp neighing of a horse. She groggily opened her eyes and saw the carriage galloping away in the distance. "Princess!"

The next second, the man known as the King, looking displeased, rode off on horseback and gave chase.

Helan Tuoqi hadn't expected this person to be so fierce; wasn't she blind?

At that moment, an eagle was circling overhead.

Helan Tuoqi gripped the reins tightly, regretting that he hadn't bothered with this man.

He was just thinking that since she was blind, he would make her believe she had lost her virginity to a bandit and commit suicide.

This also saved him the trouble of bringing a little swindler back with him.

Otherwise, if she is brought back to the royal court and her identity is exposed, she will die a very ugly death.
