Ahri stuck out her tongue and said, "I can't see."
Nan Yan's gaze fell on the glistening moisture on Ah Li's lips. He patted her head and said, "Let's eat first, and then we'll set off."
"Um."
Ah Li noticed that Nan Yan hadn't let go, so he helped her to the kitchen.
The stick used for scouting is gone. After Ahri took a bath last night, he didn't bring it back with him.
Ah Li panicked a little. She couldn't live without her stick. She said, "Where's my stick?"
"No need for the stick today, I'll help you walk."
Nan Yan pulled out a long bench for Ali to sit down, and put chopsticks in Ali's hand, saying, "I cooked sweet potato porridge today, you can eat it first."
Ahri asked him, "Have you eaten?"
"have eaten."
Nan Yan noticed that her hair was combed and her clothes were correct.
It was a ready-made dress he had someone buy last night; it fit her perfectly, and the color suited her well.
Nan Yan reached out and pulled out half a strand of hair that was hidden inside Ah Li's collar. He said, "Didn't you feel any hair hiding in your back?"
Ah Li seemed to have just realized it, saying, "No wonder I felt weird after putting on the clothes."
Nan Yan ruffled Ali's hair and said, "Wait for me here. I'll go wash the dishes. After I'm done, we'll go out."
Ah Li nodded and sat down obediently; she had finished eating.
Nan Yan cleared away the dishes to wash them, and he even turned to look at Ali. Why had he thought her eyes were fine just now?
After washing the dishes, Nan Yan took Ali's hand and went out together.
They still went out in a horse-drawn carriage.
Ah Li didn't ask him where the carriage came from, and Nan Yan didn't say either.
Upon arriving in town, Nan Yan didn't take Ah Li anywhere else; he went straight to the clinic.
There were quite a few people inside the clinic. Nan Yan asked Ali to sit down on a chair while he went to check the front.
The doctor in the clinic was an old man.
Nan Yan looked around; there weren't many people, only four, five, or six.
They were all elderly people; some coughed a few times, and some groaned a couple of times.
Nan Yan returned to Ah Li's side and said, "There are five or six people. Let's wait."
"Um."
Ah Li reached out and touched Nan Yan, then withdrew her hand and said, "Don't stray too far from me."
Nan Yan laughed, "Are you really worried I'll sell you off?"
"Um."
As soon as Ah Li agreed, Nan Yan put his hand on her shoulder and said, "Don't worry, it won't happen."
