Su Chang'an seemed not to hear her words. His gaze was fixed on her face, and his voice was low and dangerous: "Fu Li, you've caught my eye now and become my cook. Without my permission, you're not going anywhere!"
A hint of speechlessness flashed in Ahri's eyes, but she quickly regained her composure.
She looked up and stared directly at Su Chang'an. "I wasn't planning on going anywhere else anyway. I'm right here."
Besides, is this guy crazy? She didn't agree to be his cook for life.
"Then swear an oath."
Su Chang'an stared into Ah Li's eyes and said coldly, "I swear I will not rekindle my old feelings for that person, and I will not be with him."
Ah Li was slightly taken aback, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes. Could this person have fallen for her?
She seems jealous.
"Su Chang'an, do you want to hear what you're saying?"
Su Chang'an's eyes darkened, and that inexplicable irritation welled up in his heart again.
He abruptly released Ahri's wrist, turned his back to her, and said in a low, suppressed voice, "Of course I know what I'm doing."
Ahri stood there, watching his back. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but smelling the burning smell, she quickly scooped up a spoonful of water and poured it into the pot.
The stir-fried vegetables in the pot are gone.
Su Chang'an heard a creaking sound behind him and turned around.
Then he saw Ahri looking at him resentfully, saying, "It's all your fault! Why did you have to act crazy?"
Su Chang'an also noticed that the food was burnt. He didn't know why he felt a little guilty after being told that by Ah Li. The anger in his heart suddenly disappeared after Ah Li glared at him and scolded him.
He touched the tip of his nose and said, "Then let's keep it simple today, no need to cook anything else."
Ah Li took the burnt vegetables out of the pot; he wouldn't eat them, but she wanted to eat them herself.
She feels unwell all over if she doesn't eat vegetables for a day.
Fortunately, she prepared a lot of dishes today, including water spinach.
As Ah Li prepared to cook water spinach, she muttered to herself while tending the fire, "I'm going to be a general's wife, and Lu Lanxi isn't a general yet."
The General's Wife?
Su Chang'an frowned and asked, "Isn't Princess An suitable?"
etc.
What is he saying?
Su Chang'an was startled by his own words.
Ah Li looked at him speechlessly. She stood up, wiped her hands, and then shouted towards the kitchen entrance, "Fan Xuan! Your young master has had a relapse. Quickly take him away!"
Fan Xuanxiu suddenly appeared behind Su Chang'an, and he looked at Ah Li with a puzzled expression.
Ahri pointed to her head and said, "Your young master has suddenly become very strange. He came to me and said some strange things. You should take him away quickly."
Upon hearing this, Su Chang'an nearly fainted from anger on the spot. "Fu Li! I'm not crazy!"
Ahri didn't bother to argue with him at all, and instead said dismissively, "Yes, you're not sick. It was all my auditory hallucination, all my imagination."
Su Chang'an was furious with Ah Li's attitude. He stood at the kitchen door and said to Fan Xuan, "I'll write a letter to my brother later and ask him if it's okay to appoint me as a general now. Have someone send it over by fast horse. It would be best if my brother could appoint me as a general directly."
"!"
Fan Xuan wondered if he was hallucinating. He suddenly agreed with what Ah Li had just said; the young master might really have been traumatized.
Do they really think of generals as something as easy as radishes and cabbages, something you can become just by wanting to?
