"Where did you go?"
Lei Mingjue looked around; there wasn't a soul in sight, and it was all quiet.
Lei Mingjue took two more steps forward, and then he discovered a pit.
I hope I don't fall into a pit.
Lei Mingjue carefully took two steps forward and found that Ah Li was indeed inside.
Lei Mingjue peeked over and asked, "Are you alright?"
Ahri lowered her head and did not answer.
Lei Mingjue then asked, "Where are you injured?"
Ahri pulled at the weeds at the bottom of the pit without even raising her head.
When Lei Mingjue saw that Ah Li hadn't answered his question twice, he jumped down.
As he jumped down, he felt a dull pain in his chest and asked, "Did I twist my ankle?"
Ah Li didn't want to answer, but she noticed that Lei Mingjue's lips were pale and his complexion was not good. Was he injured?
Lei Mingjue looked down at Ah Li's feet and body and found that everything was normal.
Ahri turned her head and snorted, "Alright, we're all stuck in this pit now, we can't get out."
Lei Mingjue looked up and said, "This pit isn't deep. You can step on my shoulders to get up."
Ah Li looked at Lei Mingjue and asked, "If you don't want to be my husband, why are you coming to me?"
Lei Mingjue also looked at Ah Li and said, "Why do you insist on me being your husband?"
"Because I've lived here for a long time, you're the first person I've met, and you can even repair the roof and roast sweet potatoes."
Lei Mingjue squatted down and said, "Then you go up first. I'll tell you my answer after we get out of this pit."
"really?"
Lei Mingjue nodded very seriously, "Mm."
Ah Li carefully stepped onto Lei Mingjue's shoulders, and Lei Mingjue slowly stood up, holding onto the earthen wall at the bottom of the pit, so that Ah Li could grab the edge of the pit.
Ahri grabbed onto the weeds on both sides and slowly crawled out.
After seeing Ah Li go up, Lei Mingjue stood at the bottom of the pit and looked in Ah Li's direction.
As a result, Ahri left without looking back.
Lei Mingjue remained quiet as he slowly leaned against the earthen wall. He wasn't angry; he knew he would climb out of this pit.
At this moment, Ah Li threw two vines in and stuck her head out, saying to Lei Mingjue, "Hold on tight, I'll pull you up."
Just now, when Ahri came up, she was thinking about how to pull Lei Mingjue up, when she noticed two long but not very thick vines not far away, which were perfect for pulling people up.
Looking at the two vines in front of him, Lei Mingjue said, "You were looking for these just now?"
Ah Li nodded and urged Lei Mingjue to come up quickly.
Lei Mingjue said, "You don't need to pull me. Go find a place to tie the vines to the tree, and I'll climb up myself."
"Stop nagging, hurry up and come up."
There aren't any big trees, rocks, or tree stumps around here, so there's nowhere to tie it up.
Ahri wrapped the other end of the vine around her waist and then pulled it backward step by step.
Lei Mingjue also started climbing up.
Ahri took one step back and two steps forward.
When Lei Mingjue finally popped his head out, he noticed that Ah Li's waist was tightly bound by the vines.
Lei Mingjue quickly climbed up, then walked towards Ah Li and said, "Didn't I tell you to find a place to tie the vines?"
Ahri gasped for breath, untying the vines around her waist, and said irritably, "But I need something to tie myself up first."
Lei Mingjue also noticed that Ah Li's palms were red, and the exposed area around her waist was also noticeably red and swollen.
Lei Mingjue then turned around and squatted down, saying, "Get on, I'll carry you back."
Ahri leaned forward, looking at Lei Mingjue's face, "Are you worried about me?"
Lei Mingjue raised his hand and pushed Ah Li's face away, saying, "No."
"I don't believe it. I knew it! I like you, and I'm sure you'll like me too."
Ahri happily snuggled up to Lei Mingjue and said, "So, you like me, right?"
Lei Mingjue didn't know if he liked her or not, but from the first time they met, and even during the time he was in a coma, she was the one taking care of him, and he could feel it.
And just now, he thought she had left, but she pulled him up with a vine.
Ah Li whispered in Lei Mingjue's ear, "Don't take this to heart. You helped me up first, so I had a chance to pull you up too."
But this person was foolish enough to jump into the pit.
Lei Mingjue didn't say anything; he carried Ah Li back home.
After Ali returned, she fetched a bowl of water for Lei Mingjue and urged him to drink it quickly, saying, "Your face is pale, and your lips are white. What happened to you?"
Lei Mingjue touched her lips. "Is it very white?"
"Yes, white."
Ahri even went to heat up the food, saying, "You should rest well later, and while you're at it, study the mental cultivation technique that Qingxuzi gave you so you can become stronger."
"Yes, I will."
After Lei Mingjue finished drinking the water, he dragged the spirit beast he had just killed into the room.
Ali served two bowls of porridge and invited Lei Mingjue to eat, saying, "There's no rush, you eat first."
Lei Mingjue washed his hands and then came over to eat.
Ahri gave most of the spirit beast meat to Lei Mingjue, saying that he needed to eat more to strengthen himself so he could leave sooner.
Lei Mingjue knew how much meat he had put in the rice he cooked. He looked at Ali's bowl and asked, "Don't you like meat anymore?"
Ahri, with meat in her mouth, said, "I'm eating, you should eat too."
Lei Mingjue didn't put any meat from his bowl into Ali's bowl either; that would be too intimate and inappropriate for the time being.
Lei Mingjue thought that he would cook more meat when he cooked the next meal.
