Huang Wanzhen waved her hand, "Go quickly, go quickly."
After a while, Zheng Yusang came out, his face full of joy. "It fits me well. I've tried on suits at foreign companies before, and none of them fit me this well."
Zheng Yusang was so happy that he couldn't help but talk more. "You made really good food. It's better than what they sell in the store."
Huang Wanzhen poured Zheng Yusang a cup of tea and said with some regret, "I also like wearing Western clothes. When I was at home, I bought one, but unfortunately my mother doesn't like me wearing it. Your mother is a traditional woman like mine. I don't know if she would be happy with you wearing a suit."
Zheng Yusang said casually, "Of course she wasn't happy about it. Have you forgotten? When I got married, I wore a suit and she almost scolded me to death. But I was unhappy at the time and wanted to find something to do. I said, either you follow my lead or I won't go to pick up the bride..."
At this point, he remembered that the person in front of him was his bride at that time. He smiled awkwardly and lowered his head to drink a sip of water. "In short, she was not happy."
Huang Wanzhen rolled her eyes secretly in her heart, but said calmly on the surface: "Then all the hard work I put into making the suit would have been in vain, wouldn't it?"
Zheng Yusang waved her hands, "It's not in vain, it's not in vain, I just don't wear it in front of her."
Huang Wanzhen: "Wearing it outside the house?"
Zheng Yusang nodded.
Huang Wanzhen said quickly, "Then I want to go out too. I spent a lot of money on that dress, but it's been sitting in the bottom of the closet for so long. It's a waste."
Zheng Yusang: "Then take it, find a place outside and change into it."
Huang Wanzhen looked at him eagerly, "Then can you take me out? Your mother won't let me go out."
Zheng Yusang had seen through Huang Wanzhen long ago. She was so attentive today, she must have something to ask him.
He suppressed his smile, straightened his face and said, "You want me to go to my mother and plead for you?"
Huang Wanzhen: "You don't have to go to so much trouble. Just say you need to take me out for something. Your mother is very concerned about your future. Just say you want to borrow a book, but unfortunately only one female classmate has it. You're inviting her to dinner alone, and you're afraid she might misunderstand you. So taking me with you is perfect."
Zheng Yusang jokingly said, "Oh! You've already thought of a reason for me, but you're still stubborn and say it's okay to beg me."
Huang Wanzhen's smile froze, and she muttered awkwardly, "It's just a small matter, changing a suit, you're taking advantage."
Zheng Yusang thought about it and agreed. He would not lose anything by taking her out, and he would get a suit for free. Why not do it?
"Okay, you just want to go out, right? I'll take you out."
Seeing that Zheng Yusang agreed, Huang Wanzhen immediately smiled and hurried to pour him tea.
"No more drinking, no more drinking."
Seeing Huang Wanzhen so happy, Zheng Yusang asked curiously, "What do you want to do outside?"
Huang Wanzhen certainly couldn't tell her that she was going to the hospital for surgery, so she said lightly, "It's nothing, I just want to go out and relax."
Zheng Yusang felt something was wrong and looked at her suspiciously, "Let me tell you first, I won't play with you after we go out."
"I'm telling you, we're a fake couple, you can't like me."
Huang Wanzhen immediately raised three fingers and swore, "Brother Zheng, don't worry, I will never like you. I even signed the divorce agreement with you. Don't worry, I will never like you in this life."
"I'm still thinking of finding someone to sign the divorce papers as a witness."
Zheng Yusang looked relieved, "Well, remember what you said."
Huang Wanzhen got the opportunity she wanted and didn't want to lose it again because of a verbal dispute, so whatever Zheng Yusang said was what she did.
The next day, Huang Wanzhen urged Zheng Yusang to take her out. Zheng Yusang took advantage of her and kept his promise and went to Mrs. Zheng to act as a lobbyist.
Although Mrs. Zheng agreed, she still called Huang Wanzhen over and gave her some instructions before letting her leave with Zheng Yusang.
"Let's split up here. You won't get lost, will you?"
Huang Wanzhen quickly pointed at Xiulan and said, "It's okay, go do your own thing. I won't get lost with Xiulan by my side."
Zheng Yusang nodded, turned around, called a rickshaw, and left.
Huang Wanzhen watched him go away and quickly called out to Xiulan, "It's getting late, go get a taxi."
The two of them rushed and finally arrived at the hospital before ten o'clock, but because they were a little late, Dr. Anthony was performing surgery on a patient who had an appointment in advance. If she wanted to have the surgery, she had to wait.
"Why are you so late? The director mentioned you some time ago and said it would be a shame if you didn't come for the last operation." Shen Junyan asked while examining her feet.
Huang Wanzhen patted her chest and said, "Am I the kind of person who gives up halfway?"
Shen Junyan looked at her with amusement, "Well, it doesn't look like it."
Huang Wanzhen said with a look of 'it's been tough for me', "You don't know how hard it was for me to get out. My family kept such strict watch on me that I ended up in jail. It's mainly because my legs aren't working well, otherwise I could have climbed over the wall or something and wouldn't have been so late."
Shen Junyan squinted his eyes at her and said, "Climb over the wall? You? Even if your leg is healed, you don't have the ability to do that."
Huang Wanzhen said very seriously: "Don't look down on me. Although my feet are not very useful, I do stretching exercises every day."
"I've realized the importance of having a strong body. Once my leg heals, I plan to find a master and learn some martial arts."
"That's difficult. Real masters usually run martial arts schools at home. Unless you pay a high price, they won't come to teach you." Shen Junyan said, imitating Huang Wanzhen and patting his chest vigorously twice. "See? I've practiced it!"
"Really?" Huang Wanzhen asked concernedly, "Brother Shen, tell me, if I want to learn real kung fu, what should I do?"
"When it comes to truly skilled masters, we in the north can't compare to the south. With the wars going on everywhere these past few years, there are fewer escorts. The martial arts masters in the north can't support their families, so they've all gone south to make a living. Martial arts schools are flourishing in places like Shanghai and Guangdong."
"It's mainly southerners who respect these martial arts masters. Whether they're recruiting disciples or selling their skills, they pay more. Take Master Chen Zhen, for example. He's originally from the north, defeated a Russian strongman, and yet he ran away to the south to open a martial arts school. We northerners are no match for them. We don't respect others."
"Regardless of whether one has real talent or not, if one wants to accomplish something, one must curry favor with others and offer drinks at everyone's expense. Those who can hold their liquor well are more likely to accomplish things than those with real talent."
"How did we lose this country? It's all because of those good-for-nothings. We've learned from history that later generations always repeat the same mistakes. Even though they've learned from past mistakes, they still refuse to give up and insist on repeating them, proving themselves to be good-for-nothings."
After hearing this, Huang Wanzhen gave him a thumbs up and said, "Doctor Shen, that's a good idea."
