Yan Ying searched a lot of information online, but still couldn't find any information about traveling through a book.
Others said she was crazy.
In the blink of an eye, it has been more than a month since she came back.
Since she came back, she often locked herself in the room and read the book over and over again.
But unfortunately, in that book, both Cen Ji and she were just supporting characters, and there was not much description of them.
She often stayed up late to read the passages describing silence word by word, hoping to return to the book again.
That day, she stayed up until the early morning as usual.
A message suddenly popped up on the dimly lit novel interface, and the white light made Yan Ying squint.
The message was sent by a contact, but the strange thing was that Yan Ying didn't remember who this person was at all.
The message was short, just a few words, and he left early in the morning.
Yan Ying felt puzzled, but she thought that this person might be related to the story in the book.
At five o'clock, Yan Ying opened the door.
There was a man standing outside the door. After seeing his appearance clearly, Yan Ying's breath was held.
"Aunt, long time no see." Wu Bai smiled with his eyebrows curved. He was still wearing the clothes of a Guiyun Sect disciple, and his voice and appearance had not changed at all.
"You..." Yan Ying was so shocked that she couldn't speak.
"I don't have much time. Auntie, listen to me. Everything you see now is just a dream."
"If you stay in a dream for too long, you will be eroded and swallowed by the dream. If you want to leave, you must break the rules and let go of your obsessions before you can leave the illusion."
Wu Bai looked at Yan Ying, a look of heartache in his eyes. "I'm sorry, I can't be with you at this critical moment. This is all I can do."
"This is the last time I come to see you, Yan Ying. I hope you can get through this disaster and live a prosperous life." Wu Bai smiled and his gentle eyes disappeared.
He is not the real Wu Bai, but just a trace of obsession that Wu Bai left in the world before his death. He has always stayed by Yan Ying's side to help her overcome this disaster.
"Wu Bai!" Yan Ying wanted to reach out and touch Wu Bai, but she touched nothing. "Thank you."
Yan Ying returned to the bedroom, and her mind kept thinking about what Wu Bai had just said.
Break the rules, let go of obsessions...
Yan Ying picked up her phone and looked at the familiar novel interface on the screen.
She seemed to understand.
Yan Ying deleted the novel from the bookshelf, uninstalled the reading software, and threw her phone into the bucket.
She lay on the bed and closed her eyes.
When she opened her eyes again, Yan Ying returned to Guiyun Sect.
She was lying in a wooden house in the peach forest. Yan Ying opened the door with a puzzled feeling, only to find that she was in Wu Bai's former house.
Yan Ying walked to the door of the wooden house as usual. Through the crack in the door, she saw a person lying on the bed.
The wooden door was pushed open, Yan Ying walked into the room and smelled the pungent smell of herbs.
The person on the bed turned around, and when he saw Yan Ying, he was surprised for a moment. "Why didn't you knock on the door? Don't you know the etiquette?"
Yan Ying looked at the face of the person on the bed and choked with excitement.
"That's great that you're okay." Yan Ying looked at Cen Ji and said.
Cen Ji's gaze was fixed on Yan Ying's face. He got off the bed and walked in front of Yan Ying.
Yan Ying looked at Cen Ji's slightly twisted left leg, and her heart suddenly skipped a beat.
No, this person was not the Cen Ji she knew, or this was not the world she originally existed in.
In the original text, Cen Ji's leg was lame, but after she came, she clearly cured his leg.
"Junior sister, do we know each other?" Cen Ji asked.
Yan Ying raised her head in surprise. The bronze mirror on the table happened to reflect her face, which was a completely unfamiliar face.
Yan Ying suddenly realized that all this was unreal and she was still in a fantasy world.
"Cen Ji, didn't you say you wanted to marry me?" Yan Ying asked tentatively.
Cen Ji's whole body trembled. He quickly stepped forward and held Yan Ying's shoulders, looking into her eyes anxiously, trying to see the shadow of his beloved in her eyes.
He didn't know why he found himself here when he woke up, back to when he was an outer disciple in Guiyun Sect.
But Yan Ying was not here. He asked everyone, but no one knew who Yan Ying was.
He searched the entire Guiyun Sect but could not find any trace of Yan Ying.
Yan Ying looked at Cen Ji's excited expression and knew that he was her Cen Ji.
Tears in Yan Ying's eyes flowed down her cheeks. She hugged Cen Ji's waist and threw herself into his arms.
"I thought... I thought I had lost you..." Cen Ji's voice was a little choked. "I've been looking for you for a long time..."
Yan Ying breathed in Cen Ji's scent freely in his arms. She had been looking for him for a long time.
"This is the fox demon's illusion. We must leave as soon as possible." Yan Ying said softly.
She already knew how to break the silent illusion. Since the breakthrough point of the illusion was obsession, then the silent obsession should be her.
"Cen Ji, kill me."
"What did you say?" Cen Ji looked at Yan Ying in disbelief.
"Only by killing me can we get out." Yan Ying looked up at Cen Ji. "It was your obsession that brought me here. If we want to leave, we have to break it."
Cen Ji understood what Yan Ying said. He raised his hand and gently stroked Yan Ying's hair.
"Okay, close your eyes." After thinking for a long time, Cen Ji pulled Yan Ying out of his arms, then raised his hand to cover her eyes.
Yan Ying closed her eyes obediently, but the expected pain did not come.
The sound of the illusion shattering rang in her ears. Yan Ying took away Cen Ji's hand that was covering her, but saw a dagger stuck in Cen Ji's heart.
