Yan Ying followed Cen Ji into a wooden door. When she looked up again, she was in an unfamiliar place again.
She stood by the river, and the wooden door behind her disappeared just as it had just been.
There were all sorts of lanterns floating in the river, and many people around were releasing lit lanterns into the river.
Cen Ji didn't know when a lantern appeared in his hand. He handed the lotus-shaped lantern to Yan Ying.

The lanterns swayed and floated away with the river.
"Lanterns represent wishes. Who do you want to wish for?" Cen Ji asked softly.
"Wish..." Yan Ying's gaze fell on the countless river lanterns in the river. She wanted to wish everyone peace and safety, and hoped that Cen Ji could change the fate in the original book and become a good person.
Cen Ji looked at Yan Ying quietly. He didn't know what Yan Ying was thinking, nor did he know whether he was included in her wishes.
Cen Ji's gaze fell on the darkness, where a man stood with his head lowered.
"It's getting late, let me take you home." Cen Ji said to Yan Ying gently.
"We left a little late today. Next time we should leave earlier. I know a lot of fun places."
"Okay." Yan Ying nodded and took a step closer to Cen Ji.
Cen Ji looked at the person standing in front of him. Her red dress made her skin look particularly fair, and her big eyes looked at him obediently.
Cen Ji brought Yan Ying back to Guiyun Sect and sent her back to her room before leaving.
