Chapter 89 Hidden City

Yan Ying followed Cen Ji and stopped outside a cave.

The entrance of the cave was covered with vines that spread down to the ground, hiding everything in the cave.

The cave was only wide enough for one person to pass through. Yan Ying frowned as she looked at Cen Ji, who was standing beside her with a smile on his face.

What fun could there be in this cave? It was pitch black inside and she didn't want to go in.

"Is this the good place you mentioned? I won't go in." Yan Ying shook her head and said.

Who knows if there is anything scary in the cave?

"Are you scared? Are little ghosts afraid of the dark?" Cen Ji looked at Yan Ying with amusement.

Yan Ying's big, round eyes scrutinized Cen Ji's expression. "Is there anything fun in here?"

"Then you go in first." Yan Ying pointed to the cave entrance.

Cen Ji curved his lips into a smile, naturally brushed aside the vines, and walked into the cave.

Yan Ying watched Cen Ji's figure slowly disappear into the darkness, and tiptoed to look into the cave.

"Calm?"

Yan Ying leaned forward and entered the cave, but she only dared to stand in the lighted area at the entrance. If she went any further in, it would be pitch dark.

"Calm!"

Yan Ying's voice echoed in the cave, and the lingering sound surrounded her.

The cave was unusually quiet, with no trace of anyone.

Yan Ying felt a little uneasy. She slowly raised her hand, wanting to release her spiritual power to illuminate.

Just as the spiritual power in Yan Ying's hand lit up, someone patted Yan Ying's shoulder. Yan Ying hurriedly turned around, but there was no one behind her.

"Cen Ji, come out quickly and stop making trouble!"

Yan Ying sighed and turned around, the spiritual power in her hand shining. Suddenly, a face appeared behind Yan Ying, very close to her, almost touching her face.

"Ah!" Yan Ying was so scared that she ran out of the cave and almost tripped over the broken rocks.

"Hahahahaha!" Cen Ji walked out of the cave, holding his stomach, laughing loudly. "Coward."

"You! I don't want to play with you anymore!" Yan Ying puffed up her cheeks in anger and turned to leave.

"Okay, okay, I won't tease you anymore." Cen Ji walked forward and grabbed Yan Ying's sleeve.

Yan Ying glared at Cen Ji fiercely. His bad taste really deserved a beating.

"If you scare me again, I won't go."

"I won't scare you anymore, I promise." A faint smile appeared in Cen Ji's eyes.

Yan Ying really felt that Cen Ji deserved a beating right now.

"Let's go." Cen Ji took Yan Ying's hand and walked into the cave.

Yan Ying raised her other hand and was about to release her spiritual power when she saw light flashing on Cen Ji's hand.

Cen Ji walked in front with a smile on his face, lighting up the little person behind him with one hand and holding the little person behind him with the other.

As we walked, light appeared in front of the cave.

Yan Ying pushed Cen Ji curiously, asking him to speed up.

When we walked out of the cave, we saw a brightly lit city street outside.

Yan Ying stared at the crowded street in amazement.

When I looked back at the cave behind me, I was surprised to find that there was no cave behind me, but a long street just like the one in front.

"This..." Yan Ying stared blankly at everything in front of her.

There are shops on both sides of the street, the ground is covered with red bricks and green tiles, street vendors are shouting their wares, and people coming and going on the street are all kinds of pedestrians.

"Follow me closely and don't get lost." Cen Ji smiled and held Yan Ying's hand tightly.

Now, she had no reason to shake off his hand.

It was the first time that Yan Ying saw such a bustling street market. She looked around and pulled Cen Ji for a walk.

"What kind of place is this? It's so lively."

"This is the Hidden Market. In the Hidden Market, you can buy anything as long as you have spirit stones," Cen Ji explained. "I used to sell the talismans I drew here."

"Is there such a place?" Yan Ying's brain was working rapidly.

What's going on? Not only does she not remember this hidden city from the original book, she has never even heard of such a place since she came here.

"Not everyone can find this place, and it's not a bright place to begin with. Many people who come here to buy things don't want to admit they've been there."

"Then how did you find it?" Yan Ying looked at Cen Ji in confusion.

Cen Ji curved his lips into a smile but did not respond.

"Let's go over there and have a look. There are fun things there."

Although Yan Ying was confused, she couldn't resist the large number of brightly lit street vendors in front of her, so she was quickly attracted.

"Boss, can I see this knife?" Yan Ying asked, pointing to a silver dagger.

The knife seller had his face covered, leaving only his eyes visible, and nodded silently.

Yan Ying picked up the knife. There was a square pattern carved on the handle, and the scabbard was inlaid with three red stones, which glowed faintly under the light.

"How much is this knife?" Yan Ying had never seen such an exquisite dagger.

"fifty thousand."

Yan Ying's smile froze on her face. Fifty thousand, he could have just robbed her, but he still gave her a knife.

Her life is not worth 50,000, so forget it.

Yan Ying gently put the dagger back on the stall. She had to be careful because it was a knife worth 50,000 yuan and she couldn't afford to pay for it if it was broken.

After the two of them walked around for a while.

"It's not fun here. Everything is so expensive." Yan Ying pouted.

She thought she was very rich, but why couldn't she afford anything here?

Yan Ying suddenly remembered the stone that Cen Ji gave her. That stone was worth 500,000 spirit stones. Cen Ji didn't look like he had a lot of money. Could he have gotten it from a scam?

"Cen Ji, last time you..."

"It's getting dark. I'll take you somewhere else." Cen Ji suddenly smiled, took Yan Ying's hand, and led her away from the long street.
