His sword was still scraping against the skin on her back. Su Qian was so frightened by his actions that she dared not move. After all, this man had killed her once before, and that kind of pain was terrifying.
Lu Huan looked at the fair and delicate skin in front of him, as well as the slender and exquisite butterfly bones. Every part of her was breathtakingly beautiful. No wonder Yan Xuanye doted on her so much.
He seemed unhappy and said coldly, "Why aren't you talking?"
Su Qian didn't understand what he was thinking, so she decided to calm him down first, and then she agreed with him, "General Lu, I'm sorry for not welcoming you. I wonder what you want to hear? I'll tell you everything."
I don't know what words made him angry, his voice became even colder, "Su Zhao, why are you being so sarcastic?"
Su Qian looked puzzled. "I'm not being sarcastic. What I said is true. I'll tell you whatever you want to hear. Otherwise... move the sword away first."
Lu Huan ignored her words. Seeing her trembling body, he said inexplicably, "It is beautiful, but... there is one flaw."
"Su Zhao, do you know where your flaws lie?"
Su Qian: "...Rather than the flaws you mentioned, I'm more worried about my own safety."
At times like this, she can still tell whether beauty or life is more important.
Lu Huan sneered, "It seems you have a clear understanding of your position. But, are you also so timid in front of Yan Xuanye?"
Su Qian remained silent, thinking to herself, "At least he's not like you! He keeps a sword at my neck all the time! Who wouldn't be afraid of that?!"
He seemed a little annoyed, and the sword moved closer to her body: "Why aren't you talking again?"
"I don't dare talk to you when you're like this, for fear that if I say a wrong word you'll chop me down."
He was stunned for a moment, then silently retracted his sword, "You are as cowardly as a mouse. I don't know why Yan Xuanye would like you."
As if he had thought of something, he continued, "You haven't answered my question yet?"
Su Qian finally breathed a sigh of relief when she heard him put the sword back into the hilt. "What's the problem?"
Lu Huan suddenly grabbed the back of her neck and glared at her profile. "You didn't hear anything I said, did you? I just asked you if you trembled so violently in front of Yan Xuanye."
"No, no... I've never been this scared in front of him."
Lu Huan tried to calm down and asked, "Why?"
Su Qian instinctively answered: "After all, he didn't kill me."
There was a moment of silence, both sides were silent...
A chill ran down my back, and it seemed as if this hot spring was no longer a hot spring, but a pool of icy water covered with frost in winter.
Su Qian felt a wave of fear. Why had she been so straightforward just now? Why was she so direct? What if she angered him?
After more than ten seconds, he finally withdrew his hand and said, "You are quite honest."
Su Qian didn't know what to say, so she changed the subject and asked him, "Why did you come to see me tonight?"
It was only in the morning that she received his carrier pigeon letter. Although it was a teasing, it did give her a warning.
The letter was to let her know that although she was safe at the moment, she was still in his hands. As long as he wanted, he could know her movements at any time and take her life.
Lu Huan was somewhat speechless. Why did he come to see her? He didn't know either.
He arrived at Zhiyi City last night, and the secret guards below reported that Yan Xuanye would take her to the southern suburbs to hunt today. He originally sent her the letter in a joking mood.
But he didn't expect that she was so bold as to write him a reply, and...she replied with such words.
Now when he sees him, he trembles like a mouse seeing a cat.
Lu Huan asked, "Then why did you... write that letter to me?"
Su Qian intuitively felt that there was a different emotion in his voice, but if she were asked what emotion it was, she wouldn't be sure. At least he wasn't as cold as before, and seemed to be testing her.
She thought this might be an opportunity, so she immediately changed her tone, "I thought... General Lu would understand what I meant."
Could he understand what she meant? How could he understand, she was so smart, and her intelligence was cunning.
Lu Huan immediately became a little annoyed and raised his voice a little: "This general is asking you, stop playing word games and speak!"
Su Qian stretched out her left hand, grabbed the old clothes she had taken off by the hot spring, and put them on casually, barely covering herself.
Then she turned around to face him, and found that he was wearing a mask. The mask covered most of his face. Su Qian could see his narrow eyes, which were usually cold and indifferent, but now there was a hint of anger in his eyes.
This is a good thing, Su Qian thought.
“Literally,” she said.
He gritted his teeth and said, "I'm overjoyed... I miss you so much... You mean this literally? Su Zhao, you dare to say you're not bluffing!?"
Lu Huan carefully observed the expression on Su Qian's face. He thought that if he found any sign that Su Qian was deceiving him, he would strangle her to death without mercy.
But facing his direct gaze, Su Qian was not at all flustered, and her eyes were sincere.
She spoke in a very gentle voice, word by word, "Lu Huan, I'm here for you."
These words were like a hook, hooking the most vulnerable, softest, and most desired part of his heart. Lu Huan suddenly felt a little panicked, a little scared, and a little incredulous.
How is that possible?
He didn't believe that no one would treat him like this!
She must have been lying to him. How dare she lie to him like this!
His brows were furrowed, and he looked as furious as if he had been deceived. His body was tense, as if he was trying hard to restrain himself.
