"Why should I run away with a big belly?" Yu Rou said speechlessly.
Gan Lie stared into her eyes: "Then tell me you love me and you won't leave me."
Yu Rou pursed her lips, looked at him with a headache, and said, "You're not thinking clearly now. I'll call a doctor."
"I'm fine." There was only her in Gan Lie's eyes. Yu Rou could see her own face in his brown pupils. His eyes were so gentle that he almost wanted to pull her into them.
Yu Rou looked away with difficulty and said dryly, "You're still saying it's okay after this."
Gan Lie suddenly pressed his head on her neck, which felt a bit heavy. After a while, Yu Rou tried to push him away, but unexpectedly, he fell backwards as soon as she pushed him.
Yu Rou screamed and quickly grabbed him, she was so scared that she broke out in a cold sweat. Gan Lie was fine after falling, but it would be troublesome if she fell.
"Gan Lie." Yu Rou called him angrily, but saw that he had closed his eyes at some point, frowning and looking very uncomfortable.
"Yeah." Gan Lie responded in a low voice, but did not open his eyes.
Yu Rou remembered that Gan Lie seemed to have a fever very easily when he was a child. When he first came to the Yu family, he was not in very good condition, so every time he had a fever, Mother Ye had to take care of him all night, but he recovered quickly and was usually fine the next day.
Yu Rou reluctantly helped Gan Lie into her bedroom and let him lie on the bed.
After covering him with the quilt, Yu Rou called Ye's mother.
When Ye's mother heard that Gan Lie had a fever, she was shocked. "Why would he have a fever? He's been in much better health since he turned ten. He hasn't been sick much since then."
Yu Rou thought about it and told the truth, "I was having dinner with Doctor Shen, and Gan Lie got caught in the rain when he came to pick me up."
Mother Ye was silent for a moment, then sighed, "I heard that the company has been very busy recently, and Gan Lie has been busy for several days. He must have been overworked. He was very angry when he saw you and Shen Min together today, and then he got caught in the rain, so he got a fever. You should be nicer to him. He's so busy, but he's working for you. He originally resigned, but you insisted that he continue to help you run the company, without any salary, and he has to wait on you all the time."
Yu Rou was speechless for a moment.
Seeing that she didn't say anything back, Mother Ye knew she had taken her words to heart, so she changed her tone and said softly, "Okay, baby, take his temperature first. If it's over 39 degrees, get him a few cold, wet towels and apply a cool compress. Wipe his body. If the temperature drops, he's fine. If that doesn't work, call 120 and send him to the hospital."
Yu Rou took note and said, "Okay, I understand."
"Why don't I come over here?" Mother Ye was a little worried.
"No need. I'll call you if there's anything. It's still raining heavily outside. You stay at home. It's okay." Yu Rou heard the sound of raindrops outside the window.
Mother Ye: "Okay then, let me know when the fever goes away."
Yu Rou: "Well, let me wet the towel first."
Yu Rou put down her phone, glanced at Gan Lie, and found that his face was very red. Yu Rou thought for a while, walked forward and touched his forehead again, which seemed to be even hotter. She quickly lifted the quilt again and helped him unbutton his shirt.
When taking off clothes, she inevitably touched Gan Lie's body. The warm body temperature made Yu Rou feel her face and hands getting hot.
She hesitated for a moment, then took off Gan Lie's pants. Seeing his long legs, Yu Rou admired them for a moment, then went to the bathroom and wet two towels.
The wet and cold towel was placed on Gan Lie's forehead and soon became warm.
Yu Rou changed the wipes several times, and the temperature on his forehead finally dropped, but his body was still very hot, so Yu Rou had to wipe his body again.
When she touched his thigh, Yu Rou stretched out her fingers and poked his lower abdomen a few times. His abdominal muscles were very strong and hard. She touched it gently with the palm of her hand. She was a little nervous when she touched it. She looked at Gan Lie's reaction and saw that his eyelids didn't even move. Then she felt relieved and touched it a few more times. It felt very good.
Yu Rou's gaze drifted downward, the corners of her mouth curling up slightly as she thought: Gan Lie has good taste. The style and color of his underwear suit him perfectly, and for a man, the size is more than enough to satisfy her. Just looking at him is enough to make her blush. He has a great figure, especially since he looks good with clothes on, and he looks good without clothes too. Yu Rou, however, rarely sees him without clothes, and rarely has the opportunity to look at him openly like this. Now that he's asleep, she can take a few more glances to feast her eyes.
"Yu Rou."
Gan Lie suddenly called her name. Yu Rou thought he had woken up and was startled, thinking that Gan Lie had caught her staring at him and smiling.
She looked away awkwardly, "Uh...what's wrong? You have a fever, I'm cooling you down."
She finished her words seriously and waited for a while but received no response. She looked up and saw that Gan Lie still had his eyes closed. He must have been talking in his sleep when he called her.
Yu Rou breathed a sigh of relief, but also felt a little annoyed. She reached out and pinched his thigh before continuing to wipe his body.
After wiping it twice, Yu Rou took his temperature again and it had dropped by one degree.
She called Mother Ye and told her not to worry and to go to bed early.
He covered Gan Lie with the quilt again and prepared to go back to the master bedroom. She was also tired. Gan Lie occupied her bed, so she had to sleep in Gan Lie's room. Who knew that just as she was about to leave, Gan Lie grabbed her hand.
Yu Rou thought he was awake, but he still had his eyes closed and just held her hand tightly, refusing to let go.
"Gan Lie." Yu Rou thought he was pretending, so she shouted at him, asking him to stop pretending, "Let go."
