Lu returned to Yu Rou's house. Although Ye's mother was still very angry, she comforted Yu Rou and said, "Baby, don't be angry with them. It's not worth it."
Yu Rou nodded and said, "Mom, I suddenly feel that it's not a bad thing for you to divorce my dad."
"What's the matter?" Mother Ye was very surprised. She and Yu Zhen were getting divorced, and Yu Rou had always been very opposed to it. She even blamed them for not telling her about the formalities.
"Because I now feel that dad is not worthy of mom, and mom deserves better." Yu Rou hugged Ye's mother with a sincere tone.

Seeing her daughter become so well-behaved, Mother Ye felt much more at ease. She thought her daughter's temperament had changed because of her pregnancy, and she felt very comforted.
But when she thought about Yu Rou and Gan Lie, she still felt a little worried.
Mother Ye checked the time and said, "It's getting late. I'll call Gan Lie and ask him to come back early."
Yu Rou knew it was useless to stop her, so she said nothing and went back to her room to change clothes.
When Mother Ye saw her leave, she breathed a sigh of relief. However, there were some questions she couldn't ask Gan Lie in front of Yu Rou.
After dialing the phone, Ye's mother said in a serious tone: "Gan Lie, I have something to ask you."
Gan Lie had just finished a meeting and when he received a call from Ye's mother, he thought that his divorce had been discovered.
"Mom, you say."
"Are you very familiar with Xia Wenlan?" Mother Ye asked directly.
Gan Lie paused, wondering why Ye's mother asked this. "I'm not familiar with her. What's wrong, Mom?"
"Today, Rourou and I went to the house in Diju Garden to get something..." Mother Ye felt a little uncomfortable and didn't know how to start the conversation. But for her daughter's sake, she had to ask clearly, "You know, Rourou's father is living there now with the Xia family."
Gan Lie listened quietly, having a bad feeling.
"We found out that Xia Wenlan was living in your previous room, and Rourou's father said that she asked to stay here. Your clothes are still in the closet, placed together with her clothes."
Gan Lie was stunned. His expression gradually turned ugly, and his eyes darkened. "Mom, I have nothing to do with her."
His words were not an explanation, but a statement of fact.
He didn't have a deep impression of that woman. The few times they met were all because of Yu Rou. When he first started dealing with her, it was Yu Rou who asked him to investigate the Xia mother and daughter. However, he didn't find out anything. The other party had a clean background, and the neighbors around them had a good opinion of them. He told Yu Rou about the results of the investigation, but Yu Rou was dissatisfied. Later, Yu Rou repeatedly went to the Xia family to make trouble, and he went there several times for Yu Rou, but he didn't care about Xia Wenlan at all.
Xia Wenlan had his phone number, which he had given her, but he was afraid that Yu Rou would secretly cause trouble for them without his knowledge. Yu Rou was impulsive, and if she made a big deal out of it, her relationship with Yu Zhen and his daughter would only become more strained.
But Xia Wenlan didn't disturb him. She only called him when Yu Rou looked for them. The last time was at the wedding.
The two never contacted each other again after that.
So when Gan Lie heard what Ye's mother said, he was shocked and felt disgusted.
When Mother Ye heard Gan Lie's words, the huge stone in her heart fell to the ground.
She sighed helplessly and said, "Gan Lie, Rourou actually cares about you a lot. She was very unhappy when she saw that your previous house was occupied by someone else, and she got very angry when she saw your clothes."
Gan Lie didn't say anything, but Mother Ye could feel his mood change.
"Listen to your mother and don't be angry with Rourou. Rourou is pregnant. She is naive, but you can't be naive. You have always given in to her since she was a child. Now you are married and have a child..."
Mother Ye's words were quite earnest, but Gan Lie's thoughts had flown away to who knows where. His eyes had lost focus, as if he was lost in memories, staring quietly at somewhere.
Yu Rou's face appeared in his mind, and his cold and lonely expression gradually softened.
Mother Ye felt that she had said enough, but Gan Lie hadn't responded. She sighed inwardly and said in a deep voice, "No matter what, you must come back to stay at night. Rourou can't be alone."
"I understand. I will go back." Gan Lie finally responded. His gaze shifted from the distance to the ring finger of his left hand. He had taken off the ring when he went to the Civil Affairs Bureau that day, but after knowing that Yu Rou was pregnant yesterday, he put it on again for some reason.
"That's good. I won't tell Yu Rou then. You can come back tonight and have a good talk with her. Husband and wife don't hold grudges overnight. You have to believe that she has feelings for you." Mother Ye's expression relaxed a little.

After hanging up the phone, Yu Rou came out of the bedroom. She changed her clothes and washed off her makeup.
When Mother Ye saw Yu Rou looking so beautiful in her home clothes, she felt a sense of pride. Her precious daughter was the most beautiful.
"Baby, don't wear makeup when you are pregnant. You will still look beautiful." Mother Ye stood up and said.
