Chapter 309 On the Train

As the year draws to a close, there are a lot of people on the train. Even though they have tried to bring as little stuff as possible, it is still inconvenient because they have a child with them.

The only thing to be thankful for was that Jiang Junmo spent a lot of money to find a scalper and bought two sleeper tickets.

It cost almost four or five times the price of a seat ticket.

After all, in those days, only cadres could ride in sleeper berths, and ordinary people could hardly even buy tickets. They were really lucky to be able to buy one this time.

After getting on the train, the aisle of the sleeper car is not crowded like the berth car.

In short, it was more than a little more comfortable.

Lu Xia felt that the money was well spent.

The two of them had one lower bunk and one middle bunk, which was quite convenient.

It was Kang Kang’s first time to take a train. After getting on the train, he was sober and not afraid. Instead, he was curious. He looked left and right and didn’t cry.

There was already someone in their compartment before the two men came up. He was a middle-aged man sitting on the lower bunk opposite. Judging from his clothes, he should be an official. The two men nodded when they saw each other but didn't say anything.

...

...

After Jiang Junmo came up, he put his luggage away first, then tidied up and went to get some hot water.

After coming back, I saw that Kang Kang was full of energy. It was still early, so I didn't go to bed. Instead, I sat on the lower bunk together.

These were the scenery on the train. Kang Kang got bored after looking at it for a while, so he looked at Jiang Junmo and said, "Dad, draw!"

Jiang Junmo thought for a moment after hearing this, "Does Kang Kang want to paint?"

Kang Kang nodded.

"But the paint was sent away a few days ago. Did Kang Kang forget?"

Kang Mang frowned, probably because he remembered this.

Obviously he didn't know what to do.

So Jiang Junmo thought about it and took out a piece of paper and a pencil.

"Dad, can you teach Kang Kang how to draw with pencils?"

But Kang Kang still frowned, obviously not satisfied, "It's not good looking, I want a colorful one!"

Kang Kang inherited this characteristic from Lu Xia, both of them like bright colors.

Thinking of this, Lu Xia smiled and helped persuade him: "You should learn to draw pencil drawings with your father first, and then draw colored drawings when you arrive in Beijing."

Seeing that there was really no paint left, Kang Kang had no choice but to accept it.

Seeing that the two of them had already started painting and there was nothing for her to do, Lu Xia went up to the middle bunk and lay down.

Everyone chatted late last night and drank some wine, and got up early today. In fact, she didn't get much sleep. She was also a little tired, and fell asleep not long after lying down.

When I woke up again, the train had stopped again.

"Where are we?" Lu Xia leaned out and asked

"Are you awake?" Jiang Junmo looked up at her after hearing her voice. "We've arrived at the provincial capital."

"It's been so long!" Lu Xia didn't expect her to sleep so soundly. Several hours passed.

"Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?"

Lu Xia nodded. It was already noon and she was really hungry.

After coming down, I saw Kang Kang playing with tangrams. Apparently he had finished drawing. "Have you eaten?"

"I didn't eat it. I gave Kang Kang some milk powder and made some porridge."

Lu Xia made this batter herself. She just added sugar and other ingredients to white flour and fried it. When eating, just rinse it with hot water. It is convenient and delicious. Kang Kang likes it very much.

Lu Xia nodded, "Then let's eat too."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Junmo took out a few buns from his pocket. They were steamed yesterday and were now cold, but there was nothing they could do. They could only eat them with hot water, which they could actually eat.

But Jiang Jun still felt sorry for her, so he suggested: "Why don't I go see what's on the dining car tonight."

Lu Xia nodded. "That's fine. I heard that you don't need food coupons to buy food on the train. You can just buy meal coupons. Then you can have something hot to eat."

Jiang Junmo nodded, obviously planning to go and take a look at night.
