The two quickly got ready. Lu Jingnian wrapped Xiang Wanwan up warmly and then carefully carried her off the bed.
He carried Wanwan into the car.
As production approached, Lu Jingnian's car was parked at the gate of the yard every day for his convenience.
With Wu Ma protecting her, Lu Jingnian drove, and they soon arrived at the military hospital.
Xiang Wanwan felt her heart racing; this was the first time she had given birth in both her previous lives.
Having no experience, she was both nervous and a little excited.
I'm finally going to meet my baby!
Upon arrival at the hospital, an examination revealed that Xiang Wanwan was already two centimeters dilated, and the doctor hurriedly wheeled her into the delivery room.
The doctor in front of him, Dr. Hu, was specially found by Lu Jingnian from Nanshi. She was a female doctor who looked to be in her fifties and should be very experienced.
Lu Jingnian held Xiang Wanwan's hand tightly and gently comforted her, "Don't be afraid, I'll be waiting for you outside."
Xiang Wanwan knew that she would have to face the situation on her own, so she took a deep breath and let go of Lu Jingnian's hand.
The doctor looked at Lu Jingnian and smiled at him, saying, "Mr. Lu, rest assured!"
Lu Jingnian nodded, "You must ensure my wife's safety."
Hearing this, Xiang Wanwan, who was lying in bed, felt a warmth in her heart, but was quickly pulled back to reality by the intense labor pains.
Upon entering the delivery room, Dr. Hu's gentle smile appeared before her.
"Mrs. Lu, would you like a cesarean section or would you like to try giving birth naturally?"
"I checked the baby's position, and it's all good. You are in excellent condition for a natural birth."
Xiang Wanwan hesitated. Although cesarean sections are possible in this day and age, they still leave an unsightly scar on the abdomen. Since she can have a natural birth, she should give it a try!
She nodded: "I'll give it a try!"
Upon hearing this, Dr. Hu immediately turned around to prepare the necessary items for delivery.
The next hour was a nightmare for Xiang Wanwan. She knew childbirth was painful, but she never imagined it would be this painful!
Hearing the shouts from inside, Lu Jingnian, who was standing at the door, felt heartbroken.
Aunt Wu stepped forward to comfort him: "Young master, don't worry. This is how it is for women when they give birth. With Dr. Hu here, Madam will be fine."
An hour later, a baby's cry rang out, and Lu Jingnian breathed a sigh of relief.
Xiang Wanwan felt as if she had just been pulled out of a river; despite it being winter, she was covered in sweat.
She felt something slide out from below, and her body immediately felt relaxed.
Then I heard Dr. Hu's voice.
"Congratulations, Mrs. Lu, you have a son and a daughter, making a perfect family."
"The older brother weighs six jin, and the younger sister weighs five jin and six liang."
Xiang Wanwan didn't even have the strength to answer; all she could hear were the loud cries of the two children.
With such loud voices, they must be very healthy!
A moment later, Dr. Hu placed the two babies on either side of her head and pressed them against her face.
Xiang Wanwan turned to look at her brother. His skin was wrinkled but pink and tender, and his hair, like Lu Jingnian's, was very thick.
Looking at the other side, the younger sister is much more delicate, with thick eyebrows and still very nice hair.
Suddenly, as if sensing her presence, her younger sister opened her eyes a crack.
At this moment, Xiang Wanwan finally felt like a mother.
She reached out and touched her younger sister's little hand; it was soft and smooth.
Just then, the older brother on the other side started crying, and Xiang Wanwan immediately turned around and held the little guy's hand.
The older brother immediately stopped crying.
Wow, so young and already vying for attention?
A little while later, the doctor brought the baby out of the delivery room, presumably to show it to Lu Jingnian.
