The day after the corn harvest, many corn vendors appeared in the market without prior arrangement.
There are still people in the residential compound who don't farm, so there are still people coming out to buy corn at the market, like Lu Yaqin.
Xiang Wanwan hadn't seen her for over a month. Since Lu Jingnian hadn't lent her money last time, she hadn't come to the house again.

Lu Jingnian returned home at noon with a letter.
It was sent from Nanshi. The letter was written by Lu Yaqin's mother. In the letter, she said that she knew Lu Yaqin was pregnant. She and Ning Feng had already made up their relationship. As parents, they couldn't do anything about it and couldn't bear to see her suffer, so they sent her money.

Ning Feng's expression instantly froze, and he forced a smile as he ushered the two into the house.
"Cousin, what brings you here?"
Lu Yaqin was genuinely surprised to see the two of them.
"Didn't you say you wouldn't care about me and wouldn't even lend me money? Now you've changed your mind and come to give me money."
