Everyone assumed that transporting supplies to the island was troublesome, which was why there were sometimes fewer supplies.
So, no one had noticed this until Xiang Wanwan discovered that Wang Sao and Sun Sao's family had this situation.
When Lu Jingnian returned at noon, she honestly told him what had happened.
Lu Jingnian's face darkened after hearing this.
"Could it be that someone among you has embezzled supplies? There are problems with the supplies for so many people, and it's been going on for a long time. If someone really embezzled, who knows how much there is."
Xiang Wanwan, who had worked like a slave in a large factory in her previous life, had seen too many things like this.

"Then you should investigate this thoroughly!"
After Xiang Wanwan finished speaking, she turned around and went to wash up and go to bed.

Xiang Wanwan is digging potatoes in the yard.
The potatoes she planted earlier have already flowered once, and she plans to dig them up to see if they're edible.
Xiang Wanwan pushed the potato vines aside, then carefully dug with a small hoe.

Digging away the soil revealed the yellow potato skins.

She carefully dug out the remaining potatoes.
When she received it, she was both amused and exasperated.
These potatoes are so small!

"It's okay, this is what tastes best."
Xiang Wanwan began to comfort herself.
But she's not wrong.
Yellow-fleshed small potatoes are a great choice for stewing or boiling. No need to peel them; just wash off the dirt and boil them for about ten minutes before eating.
These potatoes have a smooth and delicate texture, making them incredibly delicious when stewed with meat.
She then started digging again.
But after digging up several, they were all small potatoes like this.
There definitely wasn't enough time!
She stopped digging halfway and let the rest grow.
Just as Xiang Wanwan walked out of the vegetable garden carrying a basket of small potatoes, Fang Huimei rushed straight in at the gate of the yard.
She snatched the basket from Xiang Wanwan's hand and threw it aside, causing the little potatoes to roll all over the ground.
Xiang Wanwan suddenly raised her head and glared at her.
