Chapter 78 Could it be swine fever? (2/2)

Lu Jingnian looked at her with amusement, noticing that his wife seemed to particularly enjoy drinking.

But his alcohol tolerance is average!

"good."

The two of them ate dumplings and drank wine together.

The small bottle of wine was quickly emptied by the two of them, and unsurprisingly, Xiang Wanwan also got drunk.

Under the influence of alcohol, she kissed and touched Lu Jingnian, clinging to him for another round.

······

The next day, when Xiang Wanwan woke up, she felt a sharp pain in her head.

She reached out and touched the side, but Lu Jingnian was no longer there. She struggled to sit up and rubbed her head.

"How come this alcohol has such a strong aftereffect!"

After a long pause, she got dressed and got out of bed.

I had just stepped into the yard and stretched when I heard Aunt Wang's voice.

"Wanwan, why did you get up so late today?"

"Could you come and check on my two piglets? I checked on them this morning and they were very listless and not eating. I don't know what's wrong with them."

"I've never encountered this situation before, so I don't quite understand it."

Wang Sao became more and more anxious as she spoke.

Xiang Wanwan was also somewhat shocked upon hearing this.

Is he sick?

"Okay, sister-in-law, I'll be right there."

She had just stepped out of the courtyard when Aunt Sun came towards her again.

"Oh dear, Wanwan! My piglet isn't eating! Come with me to take a look!"

This completely baffled Xiang Wanwan.

Both happened at the same time? Could it be swine fever?

Xiang Wanwan immediately took it seriously and called to Sister Sun, "Sister-in-law, don't worry, I'll go check on Sister Wang's piglets first."

"Come with me and see if it's the same as yours."

“Okay.” Aunt Sun immediately followed behind her and walked towards Aunt Wang’s house.

The pigsty at Aunt Wang's house is also in the back room. The pigsty is very clean, and the two piglets are much bigger than when they were first born.

However, it's still not as good as the two little piglets that Xiang Wanwan left behind.

The two piglets were lying on the ground, grunting. They looked really bad, and the food in the trough was still intact and untouched.

Xiang Wanwan frowned. Her little pig was fine, so why did it have a problem so soon after they brought it back?

Could it be because of the spiritual spring water?

"Sister-in-law, wait for me, I'm going back to get something."

Xiang Wanwan immediately turned back home, found a water cup, filled it with spiritual spring water, and added some tea leaves to make it easier to explain later. After the color changed, she took the tea leaves out.

They carried the water to the entrance of Wang Sao's pigsty and poured it into a nearby water ladle.

"Sister-in-law, try feeding this to the piglet."

Wang Sao did as instructed.

A few minutes after drinking it, the little pig, who had been lying down and grunting, actually stood up.

And then it went to the feeding trough and started eating.

Both Wang's wife and Sun's wife were shocked.

They looked at Xiang Wanwan and asked, "Wanwan, what kind of magic water is this? You only drank a little bit and you're already feeling better."

Xiang Wanwan was also a little confused.

Could it be that the little pig had been drinking spiritual spring water before, so it couldn't adapt to the water and soil when it went to another place?

Or did they really contract some disease, but were cured by the spiritual spring water?

Xiang Wanwan was a little unsure.

She did the same thing and got some more spring water for Sister-in-law Sun to take back.

Sure enough, just like at Wang's house, the piglets recovered soon after being fed.

Immediately afterwards, several families who had previously bought piglets from Xiang Wanwan's family came over and said that the piglets were not eating and were not in good spirits.

Xiang Wanwan had no choice but to dilute the water at each household and have them take it back.

After a whole morning of work, all the piglets were finally rescued.

She plopped down on a chair in the yard.

Although the piglets are all fine for now, they still need to be observed. If they really got sick because they didn't drink the spiritual spring water and couldn't adapt to the local environment, Xiang Wanwan would be furious.

Does this mean she'll have to deliver spiritual spring water to pig farmers every day from now on? (This chapter has been finished. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
