Chapter 53 Wife, I want... (1/2)

Xiang Wanwan glanced at him coldly and said indifferently:

"Thank you, but no need."

Jin Bowen did not walk away because of her indifferent reply. He reached out to help Xiang Wanwan pull the fishing rod, and inadvertently, his hand touched Xiang Wanwan's hand.

Xiang Wanwan let go immediately and took a step back.

She gave him a disdainful look and said coldly, "Teacher Jin, please have some self-respect. I said I don't need your help."

Jin Bowen held the fishing rod in his hand and pulled hard.

Just as he was about to say something, the big fish in the sea suddenly began to exert its strength, and the fishing rod was instantly pulled taut.

He was suddenly pulled to the shore, and then his body tilted to one side, pulling him directly into the sea.

"Thump!"

Jin Bowen fell into the sea, creating a huge splash.

His silver-rimmed glasses had also vanished, and he was floundering in the sea, shouting, "Help me! I can't swim!"

"Help!"

Xiang Wanwan and Sister Wang immediately went forward to check the situation.

After all, it was a human life at stake. Although Xiang Wanwan didn't like him, she couldn't just stand by and watch him die.

Because the water was relatively calm on this coast, and Jin Bowen had fallen onto the shore, the two of them used a fishing net to pull him up.

After getting ashore, Jin Bowen collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.

"Teacher Jin can't swim, so it's best if she doesn't come to the shore in the future."

"Otherwise, we might not be so lucky next time."

Xiang Wanwan's tone carried a warning.

She just wanted to tell Jin Bowen to stay away from her in the future.

Jin Bowen rubbed his eyes; without his glasses, the people in front of him were all blurry.

He felt a warmth in his heart upon hearing Xiang Wanwan's words.

She still cares about herself.

"Thank you for your concern, Comrade Xiang. I will definitely learn from this experience next time."

Xiang Wanwan remained silent.

When did she ever care about him?

The big fish she had just caught was gone, and so was her fishing rod, so she lost all interest in fishing.

She looked at Sister Wang and said, "Sister-in-law, I want to go back."

Wang Sao glanced at Xiang Wanwan's slightly tired expression and knew how much she disliked Teacher Jin, so she nodded repeatedly.

"Okay, let's go back and come fishing another day."

The two ignored Jin Bowen on the ground and left with their belongings.

Jin Bowen stared blankly at Xiang Wanwan's back. Although it was blurry, he could still vaguely see her graceful curves.

He couldn't help but smile slightly.

Xiang Wanwan was in a bad mood when she got home. She put the bucket in the kitchen, then went back to her room to change clothes and take a shower before going straight to bed.

Perhaps because her encounter with Lu Jingnian last night was too intense, and because she hadn't rested properly today, she fell asleep as soon as she lay down.

When Lu Jingnian returned, he saw her lying on the bed in the second bedroom, spread out in a starfish shape, with the blanket on the floor.

He sighed softly.

It seems I can't keep this bed this time.

Was it because he didn't perform well enough last night and failed to satisfy her?

Lu Jingnian fell into self-doubt.

He reached out and gently picked up Xiang Wanwan, placed her on the bed in the master bedroom, pulled the blanket up for her, and then kissed her on the lips.

After leaving the room, Lu Jingnian found a handy tool at home and dismantled the bed legs in the second bedroom.

After secretly doing all this, he put on his apron and started cooking.

In her dazed state, Xiang Wanwan felt Lu Jingnian calling her to eat, but she felt as if her body weighed a ton and she couldn't get up at all.

Then she felt Lu Jingnian help her up and feed her porridge spoonful by spoonful.

After she finished eating, she could feel Lu Jingnian feeding her and then washing her face. She was conscious while he was doing these things, and even afterwards, she didn't forget to praise him.
