It turns out the calculation was wrong!
She looked at Xiang Wanwan with gratitude.
If it weren't for her, I'm afraid I would still be suffering this injustice without even realizing it.
"Wanwan, thank you! Brother-in-law, thank you too!"
Xiang Wanwan patted her on the shoulder.
"You're too kind, sister-in-law. If you encounter any difficulties in the future, please don't hesitate to let us know."
"With Deputy Regiment Commander Chen not here, no one will dare to bully you."
Sister Wang nodded, her eyes red.
Back home, Xiang Wanwan cut two pounds of meat from the sea bass and delivered it to the neighbor next door.
Wang's wife works hard raising two children, so they help her as much as they can.
Lu Jingnian looked at the large fish in front of him and asked Wanwan.
"This fish is so big, what are you going to do with it?"
"Hey Peppa."
She replied without even thinking.
Earlier on the beach, someone asked her how she ate, but she only gave a vague reply without revealing the truth.
If they knew she was feeding sea bass to pigs, they'd probably think she was crazy.
She cut the sea bass into pieces, cooked it, removed the large bones, mixed it with wild vegetables, and fed it to Peppa.
Xiang Wanwan looked at the two piglets in the pigpen with some surprise.
How come I feel like I've grown so much in just a few days?
As she was thinking, Lu Jingnian suddenly spoke from behind her: "Peppa Pig is growing up pretty fast."
It seems that what she just saw wasn't her imagination!
Even Lu Jingnian noticed it.
It must be the magic spring water that worked.
······
The next day.
Xiang Wanwan's interest was piqued because she had caught a big fish yesterday.
So early in the morning, she carried her fishing rod to the beach again.
There were fewer people on the beach today; perhaps they didn't find any gold yesterday, so they didn't come.
She walked a meter away and suddenly saw a woman furtively digging in the sand under a large coconut tree at the edge of the beach.
Xiang Wanwan was curious.
Are they digging for gold?
She crept closer and hid behind a palm tree.
A woman's mutterings came from ahead.
"You old hag, do you think I can't do anything to you just because you're hiding at home?"
"I'll steal it and hide it here, then dig it out in full view of everyone."
"Who will know I stole it from her?"
Hidden behind the palm tree, Xiang Wanwan heard every single word.
It turns out that the story of finding gold on the beach that Sister Wang told me about yesterday was all staged by this woman herself.
It looks like they stole gold from their home and buried it here, pretending they found it, cleverly avoiding suspicion.
But as luck would have it, she found out!
Should she tell him/her?
Xiang Wanwan glanced at the woman in front of her; she had never seen her before, and she didn't know her.
Forget it, it's better to avoid trouble. Let's just pretend we didn't see it!
Just as she was about to sneak away, a burst of curses erupted from behind her.
"You damned whore, it really was you who stole my gold!"
"You still dare to hide here? You've got some nerve!"
A fat body flashed past her and then pounced on the woman in front of her.
This woman was the mother of Lieutenant Yan from last time, the one who accused her of stealing wild chrysanthemum greens.
She straddled the woman and began to strike her with both hands, making the woman cry out for her mother!
"Mother, you've misunderstood! I found this gold while beachcombing."
"I didn't steal your gold!"
The strict mother wouldn't listen and just kept slapping her face.
"You dare lie to me! You jinx! My son is incredibly unlucky to have married you!" (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
