Chapter 18 Dry Pot Rabbit

Wang Meili nodded, but she didn't forget where the meat came from. "What's going on with this meat?"

"Mom, I found a knocked-out rabbit on my way back. Seeing no one was around, I put it in my schoolbag and brought it back. It's meat, so I'd eat it if I didn't."

Zhao Lingling and Tudan looked at each other silently, and both of them were smart enough not to expose his sister's lame excuses.

"Eggs, send a bowl to your grandparents."

Tudan winked at Zhao Lingling and went out with a bowl of meat and mushroom soup the size of a rice bowl.

"You went into the mountains." After Tudan left, Accountant Zhao took a look at her shoes and said with certainty.

Wang Meili stared at Zhao Jiaojiao, without any joy from eating meat. She advised earnestly, "There are snakes in the mountains now. If you go hiking in your current state, what if you fall or get hurt?"

She is not a child anymore.

Can you please stop treating her like a child?

"I just haven't been out for a long time." Zhao Jiaojiao said weakly.

Accountant Zhao frowned and scolded him, "If you want to eat meat, there's a pound of meat coupons at home."

Zhao Jiaojiao quickly responded.

"Dad, Mom, try this. This is the dry pot rabbit my classmate told me about. My deskmate is Teacher Wang's niece, and she's a little fat."

"Then you have to get along well." Accountant Zhao knew something about Teacher Wang's family situation.

Tudan was carrying a bowl of meat and mushroom soup and met many people along the way.

He is not stupid either, he is also a smart guy.

"Uncle, aunt..."

After seeing Grandpa Zhao and Grandma Zhao, he immediately handed the bowl to Grandma Zhao and said sweetly, "Grandpa and grandma, this is what my dad asked me to bring to you. My sister made it."

Grandma Zhao was a little skeptical. The aroma was so strong that she couldn't believe it. She knew that the third daughter-in-law was a good cook, but her granddaughter rarely cooked.

"My sister learned it from my mother."

Uncle Zhao has quite a few children. His eldest son has already married and had children, and several younger ones surround Grandma Zhao.

Aunt Zhao looked at the small bowl and said sourly, "Country egg, your father only asked you to bring such a small bowl?"

Tudan was waiting for the bowl to be freed for him when he heard what his aunt said.

"My family only bought half a pound of meat and served half to grandpa and grandma as a show of filial piety."

Grandma Zhao glared at her eldest daughter-in-law, then looked at Tudan kindly, "Tudan, don't pay attention to your aunt. Take the bowl."

"Grandma, I'm going back first."

As soon as Tudan left, Grandma Zhao looked at Aunt Zhao unhappily and said, "Why do you think it's too little? Then don't eat it later."

Aunt Zhao wanted to say something, but Uncle Zhao glared at her. His younger brothers were quite filial and would never forget to send some meat to their parents when they ate it. The grandchildren at home would also have a taste of it.

Tudan didn't care about all this. As soon as he got home, he closed the door.

"Mom, my aunt thinks it's too little."

Wang Meili really has no words to say to her eldest sister-in-law. It was she who started the family separation.

"If she thinks it's too little, it means she can't eat it!" Wang Meili has been married to the Zhao family for many years and knows her mother-in-law well. Back then, her eldest sister-in-law basically fled to Zhaojia Village and had no family there.

"Mom, these are earthen eggs. Come and try them and see how they taste."

The Zhao family members all agreed that the dry pot rabbit tasted great, especially the free-range eggs. After just one meat meal, they were already looking forward to the next one. "Sister, this dry pot rabbit is so delicious. When can we make it again?"
