The next night when the two were having dinner, Yan Qing thought about what happened at the banquet last night and talked to Huo Beiting about the strange things between Huo Zhen and Yan's father.
"...and I feel like they're hiding something from me, especially Mr. Huo. When he came out, I felt like he was only halfway through his words, and didn't mean what he said!"
Huo Beiting rubbed his forehead helplessly, thinking, wasn't this matter in the past? Why was it brought up again?

As he spoke, Yan Qing paused, raised his body slightly, and leaned towards Huo Beiting.
"My dad would never leave me at another man's house, let alone a stranger. My dad has never been so generous!"
The more Yan Qing spoke, the more he felt as if he had discovered the truth. He put down his chopsticks, rested his chin on his hand, and pondered what had happened last night.
Huo Beiting had no idea what exactly happened in Yan's father's company. He could probably guess why Yan's father left his daughter in his house, but he couldn't tell Yan Qing the reason.
Then I suddenly thought of a way to change the subject, and saw the calendar on the table next to me.
"By the way, your birthday is coming up soon. How are you going to celebrate it this time? Or will you just have a meal at your house like before?"
Huo Beiting pointed at the calendar and started thinking about what kind of birthday gift to prepare for her.
Yan Qing frowned slightly, her thoughts were successfully interrupted by Huo Beiting's words, but she thought of something else.
"How do you know my birthday is in a few days? I don't think I've ever told you!"
Yan Qing looked at Huo Beiting with a scrutinizing look on his face, arms folded, as if he was judging a criminal.
Huo Beiting was shocked by the look on his face, and he clicked his tongue, secretly blaming himself for thinking of such a topic. Isn't this just digging his own grave?
Huo Beiting really couldn't think of any good way to deal with the situation at the moment, so he could only change the subject.
"Are you almost done with the company stuff? How about we go out and have some fun in a few days? Let's go out and relax together! I saw online recently that there's a new resort opening, and the reviews are pretty good. I'd really like to check it out."
Huo Beiting said as he picked up a piece of fish and handed it to Yan Qing.
Yan Qing knew about the resort that Huo Beiting was talking about. She had also wanted to invest in it at first, but because the company had just invested in a movie and did not have that much spare money at the moment, she had to give up the idea for the time being. When she thought about it again, the resort was almost completed, which really made her regret it for a while.

"Tell me about it, I'm really curious about how you knew that. I clearly didn't tell you, so how did you know that? Please stop piqued my curiosity!"
Yan Qing deliberately asked in a coquettish voice, which made Huo Beiting's body soften and almost collapse.
Huo Beiting took a deep breath and tried to suppress the impulse in his heart, constantly reminding himself that it was not possible now. The two of them had not reached that stage yet.
Little did they know that the ambiguous voices of the two had already reached Cheng Zijue's ears through the phone.
When Yan Qing just came over, Huo Beiting was talking to Cheng Zijue on the phone about recent things in the company. However, because of Yan Qing's sudden attack, Huo Beiting hurriedly put the phone under his body and completely forgot that he had not hung up the call with Cheng Zijue.
