Chapter 583: Blood Clan Loyal Butler vs. Godly Lady 13
Chris took the necklace, rubbed the gem with his fingertips, and a dark light flowed in his eyes.
It's obvious.
The child is angry.
The blood-red gem sparkled in the sunlight, like a dazzling cinnabar mole.
After the necklace, which was originally of normal length, was shortened, it could only be wrapped around an adult's wrist three times.
It became a necklace that only Hill could wear.
Seeing him staring at the necklace without saying anything, the old housekeeper couldn't help but persuade him:
"Mr. Chris, are you really not going to see Miss Hill off?"
Chris's attitude towards Miss Hill is very special. Others may not notice anything strange, but as an old man who has taken care of him since he was a child, the housekeeper can still see some clues.
If you really don't care, why would you hide in the dark and secretly see her off?
"No."
When Quanjiu's figure disappeared completely, Chris put the necklace into his coat pocket. The complexity in his eyes disappeared, and he returned to his previous solemn and indifferent look.
"How is Zhiyao?"
The old housekeeper said, "Master Zhiyao calmed down a lot after hearing what you said. He no longer tried to escape, but he said he wanted to see Miss Hill off, so I let him go."
Chris looked at the endless manor and lowered his eyes:
"Let him be."
…
Quan Jiu took out a bag of beef jerky from the little yellow duck schoolbag and ate until his cheeks were bulging, like a little squirrel eating.
Fortunately, I didn’t pour out the snacks last time.
She was too short and the things in her schoolbag were too heavy. She walked on the side of the road with her short legs, swaying from side to side like a little penguin.
After walking for a while, the dark clouds floating in the sky became more and more. With two loud bangs, large raindrops began to fall from the sky.
Three raindrops happened to fall into the bag of beef jerky.
Quan Jiu: “…”
She blinked, hesitated for several seconds, and then calmly picked up the dried meat and stuffed it into her mouth.
Better to be dirty than to be hungry.
She ran to the tree while eating. There were no big trees with dense branches and leaves around. Her beautiful golden curly hair soon got wet, and her puffy skirt stuck to her body.
But even so, the heavy rain showed no signs of stopping.
It was surrounded by trees, grass and a road that stretched as far as the eye could see, with not a single car on the road.
She was a small ball squatting alone on the side of the road, like an abandoned princess in distress, with an inexplicable sense of misery.
Except for the sound of rain, everything in the mountains and forests was unspeakably quiet.
A green vine quietly grew out from above her head, and its branches were densely intertwined, soon weaving into a small umbrella, protecting her tiny body under the umbrella and shielding her from the wind and rain.
Quan Jiu yawned and touched its trunk:
"That's good. My little Fujiko can show affection now."
A green vine stretched out a branch and nodded at her furry little head, as if to say, "I'm always here."
Quan Jiu smiled and without stopping, he walked towards the city center with a strange little green umbrella.
The breeze and drizzle watered the flower buds on the vines. Everything was like gorgeous magic. The flower buds bloomed silently, and purple irises bloomed all over the vines. The scene was beautiful and shocking.
After Quan Jiu walked for a while, a red car finally appeared in his sight.
The vehicle was parked on the side of the road with no one in the car, but strangely, the key was hanging on the driver's door.
Quan Jiu was not polite at all. He opened the car door and got in.
She rolled up the car window, and the sounds of wind and rain outside disappeared. She turned on the heater and started drying the clothes, while taking a look at the situation inside the car.
There are snacks and water in the back row.
There was an umbrella in the trunk.
Quan Jiu's eyes flickered, but he didn't move.
When the heavy rain finally stopped and her clothes were almost dry, she jumped out of the car with her schoolbag and walked towards the city.
What she didn't notice was that in the grass by the roadside not far from the vehicle, blood was flowing down the green leaves washed by rain, quietly and silently dripping into the yellow earth, creating layers of ripples.
………
Fifteen years later.
City C.
A plane took off from Marseille and landed at City C Airport on time.
The plane door opened and the flight attendant's sweet voice sounded.
"Dear passengers, this flight has arrived safely at City C Airport. Please take your belongings with you..."
As soon as the words fell, the woman sitting in the window seat in the first row of first class moved.
She tilted her head back as if she was sleeping, with a magazine covering her face. When she heard the stewardess's announcement, she slightly raised her slender arms, grasped the edge of the magazine with her five white fingers, and slowly removed the covering from her face, revealing a stunning face.
The woman's eyes were slightly narrowed, with a lazy look as if she had just woken up. Her waist-length golden curly hair was draped behind her head. Under the sunlight, her golden hair was shining with a hazy silver light, giving her a layer of holiness and softness.
The man sitting next to her was wearing a neat suit and carrying a briefcase. He kept looking down at his watch with an impatient look on his face. Suddenly he looked up and caught a glimpse of Quan Jiu's profile, and he froze in place.
The woman looked out the window casually, revealing only half of her profile.
Under her superior high brow bones are a pair of rippling blue starry eyes. Her nose bridge is high, and the smooth lines connect the bridge of the nose and the tip of the nose. Under the small nose tip is the seductive peak of the lips.
The man smelled the fragrance of gardenias floating in the air, and he woke up as if from a dream. His sense of superiority disappeared completely. He looked at Quan Jiu nervously, and his tone was a little stuttering:
"Miss, hello...hello, I wonder if I have the honor to leave your contact information."
He spoke English fluently with a pure London accent. It was obvious that he was a well-educated young man from a wealthy family.
Quan Jiu was already very familiar with this situation. She took out a pair of sunglasses from her handbag and put them on. She raised the corners of her mouth slightly and spoke in standard Mandarin.
"Thank you for your appreciation, but I'm sorry, I'm already married."
The man was a little skeptical, as she looked to be in her early twenties at most.
Quan Jiu saw his hesitation and stood up:
"Sorry, my son is waiting for me at home. I have to leave first."
The man showed a hint of regret, but still made way with great grace.
After leaving the airport, a black extended Budweiser was parked conspicuously on the side of the road.
As soon as Quan Jiu approached, the driver got out of the car, went around to the back seat, and opened the door for her.
Quan Jiu, wearing high heels, bent down and got into the car.
Passersby around looked at the grand display with curiosity or envy, and some even took out their mobile phones and pointed them at the license plates of the luxury cars.
The driver looked anxiously at the woman in the back seat, who was resting with her eyes closed. "Miss, do you want to process the video?"
Quan Jiu's sight was hidden behind his sunglasses, and he pursed his red lips: "No, let's drive."
The driver started the car and reminded:
"The master is worried about you being alone in the country, so he specially arranged for Special Assistant Smith to come and help you."
Special Assistant Smith has followed the old man for more than 50 years and is definitely a competent and good helper.
