Chapter 621: Blood Clan Loyal Butler vs. Godly Lady 50

Chapter 621: Blood Clan Loyal Butler vs. Godly Lady 50

The Du family is well-known and promising in City C. Although it cannot compare with the Lu and Chen families, it can barely squeeze into the top ranks.

Mr. Du had a son in his old age, and he doted on the young master of the Du family. However, Young Master Du had been a playboy since he was young, doing all kinds of eating, drinking, whoring and gambling. Many people would rather provoke a family more powerful than the Du family than provoke the young master of the Du family.

In the banquet hall, Du Kangjie was still pointing at Lance's nose and cursing.

"Do you really think you're such a big shot? You're not even willing to run errands for me. Don't think I don't know who you are. You're just a lousy manager. This is City C. Even if the chairman of your Xier family comes, he has to give me some face..."

Lance was wearing a black night-time windbreaker and a pair of Martin leather boots of the same color. The man had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and he looked cool and stern in his outfit. However, this was a banquet hall, and he was surrounded by men and women in suits and dresses. He looked out of place in this outfit.

Looking at Du Kangjie who was cursing, Lance's face remained indifferent.

"Master Du, why don't you just forget it..."

Du Kangjie's new girlfriend is a college student. When she noticed everyone looking at her with a curious look on their faces, she awkwardly pulled at the man's sleeve.

Unexpectedly, Du Kangjie became even more furious after hearing this, and looked at his female companion coldly:

"Don't you understand my temper? With so many people watching, I can't discipline a small manager?"

The girlfriend got into trouble and could only shut up in anger.

Du Kangjie stared at Lance and said, "How about this? You kneel down and clean my shoes, and we'll let this matter go."

It was drizzling outside when he arrived, and the soles of his leather shoes were stained with a little mud.

Lance raised his eyelids and gave him a cold look.

Chen Peisi on the second floor was full of emotion:

"He's quite courageous, but unfortunately he didn't use it in the right place. He provoked Young Master Du, and his career in City C is over..."

Lu Zewen turned and walked downstairs.

Chen Peisi thought he wanted to go to the theater, but she didn't expect the man to go to the first floor and go straight to greet other guests, not paying any attention to the dispute in the corner.

Lance glanced through the gap in the crowd and saw Lu Zewen chatting and laughing with his friends. He was wearing a well-tailored gray suit, with a straight and slender figure. His brown pupils looked like crystal clear glass beads under the light.

The two men's eyes met, and Lu Zewen kept smiling as he continued chatting with the big man beside him. He glanced away and looked away, as if he hadn't noticed this little episode.

Lance pursed his lips, and a hint of impatience appeared between his brows.

Humans are really noisy and troublesome.

Seeing that he didn't react, Du Kangjie raised his hand with the red wine glass and asked the bodyguard who was following him to come over and kidnap the man.

"Kick his legs and make him kneel down."

The bodyguard followed orders and approached Lance, trying to bully him by kicking him in the knee, but the man dodged quickly and the bodyguard's arm was twisted backwards.

Du Kangjie was furious and slammed the red wine glass at Lance: "How dare you touch my people?!"

Lance still had an indifferent expression, neither humble nor arrogant. He let go of the bodyguard's wrist and kicked him back.

Du Kangjie had never been provoked like this before, so he immediately called the bodyguards outside the banquet hall to come in. Because he had been a troublemaker since he was a child, the old man had assigned him a lot of skilled bodyguards.

Just as the bodyguards rushed into the banquet hall, ready to attack Lance, a lazy and charming voice rang out.

"It's not a good idea to touch my people in my banquet hall."

Du Kangjie turned around when he heard the voice, and his body seemed to be nailed to the spot. A hint of surprise flashed in the man's eyes, and he stared blankly at the woman walking out of the gate.

Quan Jiu wore a white off-shoulder dress with a long train, which showed off her tight collarbone and shoulders. The skirt was fluffy and covered with red roses. She wore a crown on her head and her long hair was tied up behind her head. She looked at him with a look of contempt, like a queen high above everyone else.

Du Kangjie had never seen Quan Jiu before, and when he suddenly saw such a beautiful woman, he immediately had evil thoughts in his mind. Curious, he pulled his best friend over and asked, "Whose daughter is this?"

My best friend wasn't obsessed with beauty, and her IQ was still online. Although I had never seen Quan Jiu herself, I could probably guess her identity from what she had just said:

"...It should be from the Xier family."

Du Kangjie's eyes flashed.

"Lance, come to my side." Quan Jiu spoke in public, declaring his right of belonging.

Du Kangjie lost his previous arrogance and stared at Quan Jiu's face:

"Miss Xier, I'm not being unreasonable. It was your man who bumped into me first. How about this? You apologize to me on his behalf, and today's incident will be over."

"Apologize?" Quan Jiu's eyes flashed with amusement as he fiddled with his fingertips. "Then tell me, how do you apologize?"

In full view of everyone, Du Kangjie stuffed a presidential suite room card into Quan Jiu's hand. He had originally planned to spend a night of love with his new girlfriend, but he didn't expect to get something else now.

Quan Jiu held the room card between two fingers and sneered playfully in the surprised eyes of everyone.

She lightly threw the room card into the air, and the thin piece of paper fell to the ground, just like Du Kangjie's dignity.

The heel of her high heels stepped on the room card, crushing it neither lightly nor heavily.

Du Kangjie's expression changed slightly: "What do you mean?"

"Butler Lu, throw him out for me." Quan Jiu ignored Du Kangjie and gave the order lightly.

The moment Lu Zhiyao made a sound, he grabbed the man's wrist. Du Kangjie screamed like a pig being butchered: "It hurts, it hurts, it hurts."

His wrist was burning with pain, and he even wondered if he had a fracture.

The bodyguards on the side hurried forward to protect their master. No one could see what Lu Zhiyao did, and a large number of Du family's bodyguards fell down. The scene was unprecedentedly spectacular.

Ji Chushu and Wang Hemiao came over and gave Quan Jiu a thumbs up.

Ji Chushu: "You are the best. I have been in City C for so long, but this is the first time I have seen Du Kangjie being punished."

Wang Hemiao: "Xiao Xixi, you better be careful. The old man of the Du family loves his son as if he were his life. He will probably cause trouble for you."

Quan Jiu picked up a glass of champagne from the tray: "I'm afraid he won't come."

Ji Chushu didn't understand what she meant. Glancing at her clothes tonight, he hesitated a little:

"Xi'er, why did you change your clothes? Aren't you going to wear the blue fishtail skirt you bought this morning?"

Quan Jiu: “…”

Thinking of the dress that was damaged in the fitting room, she was silent for a moment:

"I compared them carefully and this dress is more convenient to wear."

Ji Chushu looked at his friend's dress and praised:

"Alright, I think this dress looks better than the one I wore this morning. It's just that the design of this dress feels... familiar."

Quan Jiu: "The dresses are all similar."

Ji Chushu was half-believing and half-doubting, but finally stopped worrying about it: "Anyway, as long as it looks good, it's fine."
