"Cui Ju, are you going to school today too?" Bai An held Cui Ju's hand and shook it aside, "Then I'll go with you when we have labor."
Chrysanthemum nodded and said, "Of course you have to come with me. I will pick wild fruits for you to eat."
Da Zhuang, who was squeezed aside, watched them having so much fun, while he himself was like a transparent person. In order to show that he was there, Da Zhuang forced his way into their friendship.
"I want to work with you too!"
Cui Ju held Bai An's hand, glanced at Da Zhuang beside her, and said puzzledly: "We originally worked together."
"Then why didn't you ask me out just now?" Da Zhuang folded his arms and kicked the dirt around his feet aside.
The clod of earth rolled with a gurgling sound and stopped not far away.
"Hey." Cui Ju walked to Da Zhuang's side, punched him with a smile, "Why are you sulking? We are together anyway, why bother making an appointment?"
After hearing that Cui Ju treated him as one of her own, Da Zhuang turned his head away proudly and murmured softly: "I think you are right."
As soon as they walked into the classroom, everyone turned their eyes to them with a hint of surprise in their eyes.
...
...
"Aster, you're back!"
Some female classmates ran to Cui Ju's side and asked in unison: "Why are you back? Where did you go before?"
Faced with her classmates' questions, Cui Ju didn't know how to answer for a moment. In fact, she had been forced to stay at home by her parents.
Bai An saw Cui Ju's hesitation, coughed, and said, "It's good that Cui Ju is back. Let her be alone for now. She must have been scared before."
Seeing that Cuiju was indeed listless, the girl said tactfully, "Then Cuiju, we'll come and play with you later."
Cui Ju nodded. Under the gazes of so many people, there was one gaze that was particularly strong and could not be ignored.
Cui Ju looked up and saw Goudan looking at her with wounds all over his face.
"What happened to him?"
Bai An looked in the direction Cui Ju was looking and saw Goudan staring at them without blinking. He shook his head and said, "I don't know what's wrong with him. Maybe he's just like that."
"Really?" Cui Ju looked at Goudan, who used to tease her. She didn't expect that he had changed so much in just a few days when she was away.
Not long after, Lin Zhixia walked into the classroom and saw his sister sitting in his seat. He raised his eyebrows, said nothing, and just smiled at Bai An.
Bai An turned his head and watched him walk to the empty seat in the last row of the classroom, sat down, and looked out the window with his hands on his back as he did before.
"Don't mind him, he's always like this."
Bai An heard Cui Ju talking to her and turned back.
"Everyone go to the playground to work."
"Oh." The classroom suddenly became noisy, and friends walked out of the classroom arm in arm, talking and laughing.
"I say." Bai An looked at Da Zhuang, hesitant to speak, and after looking at him several times, he finally couldn't help but said, "You don't have to hold hands with me."
"Why?" Da Zhuang held Bai An's hand even harder, "Cui Ju can hold it, but I can't."
“No.”
Bai An pulled her hand out of his arms awkwardly and said to him, "There are differences between men and women."
Da Zhuang looked at Bai An's pulled-out hand and curled his lips, "If you don't want to hold it, then don't hold it."
Cui Ju walked over and punched Da Zhuang's arm, shouting, "Don't act like a good kid just because you got the advantage. Bai An is nice to you, but you are just being petty here."
Da Zhuang covered his arm and succumbed to Cui Ju's violence.
Originally, Da Zhuang was weeding behind Bai An and Cui Ju, when the teacher suddenly came over and asked Da Zhuang to collect firewood.
Da Zhuang was very shy and said in a low voice, "Teacher, can I not go? I want to pull weeds with Bai An and the others, is that ok?"
"No." The teacher said to Da Zhuang, "You can go collect firewood with other friends. You don't have to follow Bai An and the others to pull weeds."
Da Zhuang lowered his head and said, "Okay, teacher."
Before leaving, Da Zhuang turned around and looked at Bai An and the others.
Bai An and Cui Ju smiled and waved to Da Zhuang, saying, "Go ahead, what are you afraid of?"
"I'm not afraid." Da Zhuang straightened his chest and followed the teacher.
Bai An smiled, pulled out a piece of grass and asked Cui Ju: "Cui Ju, did your parents say anything to you?"
Aster stiffened for a moment and said, "They said everything."
After a while, Cui Ju looked at Bai An and whispered, "I'm sorry, Bai An."
"It's okay." Bai An looked around and saw that there was no teacher supervising. He carefully moved to Cui Ju's side and said, "You didn't know about this. It's not your fault."
Cui Ju's eyes were red. She knew that ignorance of this matter was not a crime, but it was her parents who did it, and she couldn't pretend that she didn't care about it.
"Don't cry."
When Cui Ju heard this, she quickly wiped her face. Looking at her clean hands without any water stains, she turned to look at Bai An in confusion, "I didn't cry."
"I was lying." Bai An touched Cui Ju gently with the back of his hand. "It's okay. This is not your fault in the first place."
Aster nodded.
"What are you doing?" Lin Zhixia walked up to them at some point, and seeing Cui Ju's red eyes, she said with amusement, "Even Bai An said it's none of your business, why are you worried?"
Cui Ju pushed Lin Zhixia's arm and shouted angrily, "What do you care?"
"Okay, okay, I don't care." Lin Zhixia raised her hand and said mischievously, "Don't care, don't care."
Aster rolled her eyes at him and continued working.
Bai An looked at Lin Zhixia who suddenly appeared, and thought silently in his heart, he wouldn't come here just to comfort Cui Ju.
The more Bai An thought about it, the more suspicious he felt, and he couldn't help but look at him a few more times.
Lin Zhixia noticed Bai An's gaze, turned around and looked at her and asked, "Why are you looking at me all the time?"
"No." Bai An shook his head and lowered his head to continue pulling the grass below.
Lin Zhixia glanced at Bai An in front of her and chuckled.
At this time, Cui Ju looked at Lin Zhixia in confusion, as if she was looking at a fool.
Lin Zhixia just finished smiling at Bai An, then turned around and said to Cui Ju in a nonchalant manner: "What are you looking at?"
"Pa." Cui Ju slapped Lin Zhixia on the arm and said, "Just watch."
"Just watch, why do you have to do anything?" Lin Zhixia patted her arms nonchalantly, smiled and pretended to grab Cui Ju to scare her.
Aster was unmoved and just watched him quietly as he grinned like a clown.
Seeing that Cui Ju was really unmoved, Lin Zhixia sighed and said, "Cui Ju is not as cute as before."
"Brother, if you want to pull weeds, pull them seriously."
