Chapter 74 Dance

Bai An actually still wanted to dance with someone who was a good dancer so that he could guide her. After all, he had only learned it for two days.

Just as Bai An's eyes were darting around restlessly, Cui Ju quickly covered Bai An's eyes with her hands and asked, "What are you looking at?"

Bai An shook his head, grabbed the hand in front of him and said: "I'm just taking a look."

Cui Ju didn't believe what Bai An said. She pulled Bai An's hand, brought Bai An closer to her, and whispered, "Look at your brother now. He's so scary, and you still dare to look at him."

When Bai An heard Cui Ju's words, he turned his head and looked to the side, and saw Lu Jinan looking at him with gloomy eyes, his brows slightly furrowed, and his lips slightly pursed. When he noticed Bai An's gaze, he slowly turned his head away.

Bai An didn't know what he had done wrong.

"What's wrong with him?"

Aster shook her head, "I don't know either."

Bai An thought about what he had done before and realized that he hadn’t done anything. Then why was Lu Jinan looking at him like that?

I couldn't figure it out, so I could only ask the person involved.

...

...

Bai An secretly pulled Lu Jinan's sleeve under the table. When Lu Jinan glanced at him, he quickly asked in a low voice: "Why are you looking at me like that? Did I do something wrong?"

Bai An didn't hear any answer. Time passed by minute by minute. When Bai An finally couldn't help but look up, he saw Lu Jinan still looking at him with that gloomy eyes.

"What's wrong with me?" Bai An looked innocent.

Lu Jinan then said: "When someone invites you to dance, you must learn to refuse."

He said, glancing at Aster.

Noticing the gaze, Aster nodded quickly.

Bai An looked confused. "So if I refuse someone's invitation, does that mean I have to invite someone else myself? Otherwise, how can I dance?"

Bai An had no idea what Lu Jinan was thinking. Wasn't a dance meant for two people to dance?

Seeing that dancing was the only idea, Lu Jinan couldn't help but smile, "I forgot to tell you that the meaning of dancing at today's party is not just as simple as dancing."

"Today's dance is more like a blind date. The children of the most prominent people in the market will be present. When two people dance together, it means that they are willing to get married."

Bai An and Cui Ju were surprised when they heard the explanation, especially Bai An who looked down at the hand he had just extended. No wonder the boy was so shy. It turned out that if Bai An had agreed to dance with him at that time, she would have agreed to marry him.

Bai An complained a little: "Why didn't you tell me earlier? I almost agreed just now."

Lu Jinan frowned and looked at the people dancing in the center of the stage, "I thought mom told you."

"No, Mom didn't tell us." Bai An was a little confused. She didn't understand why her mother didn't tell her and Cui Ju about this.

Hearing this, Lu Jinan thought about it and felt that Wanqing might not have thought that the meaning of this dance party would be a marriage.

So I comforted her: "Mom hasn't been home for so long, it's normal for you to forget."

Bai An nodded and responded.

He turned around, took Aster's hand, and walked to the chair next to the stage and sat down.

Cui Ju's expression was still surprised. Seeing Bai An still leisurely eating cakes, she said in surprise: "You almost got married to someone else just now."

Bai An didn't think it was a big deal at this time and waved her hand indifferently. She thought about it carefully and realized that if they were going to arrange a marriage, they should have investigated everyone's background before attending the ball.

Even if they dance together, it doesn't mean they will get married in the future, it's just that both parties have this idea.

"How can you get married just because of a dance?" Bai An said comfortingly: "I was a little surprised to hear your brother say that just now, but I think it's a little unrealistic to get married just because of a dance."

"It's just a simple dance. I won't force anyone to get married."

Cui Ju patted Bai An's arm excitedly, lowered her voice, and said beside Bai An: "I'm scared to death. I was afraid that I didn't understand the rules of the city and thought that I had to get married after dancing."

Bai An chuckled, pulled Cui Ju's hand aside, and said jokingly: "If you keep slapping my hand like this, I'm afraid my hand will be broken."

"How could that be." Cui Ju looked at Bai An with amusement, "My strength is so weak, are your arms made of tofu? So fragile."

Bai An raised his arm and placed it in front of Cui Ju. "My arms are too fragile. I'm afraid even a light tap won't work."

Cui Ju was amused by Bai An's words. If there weren't so many people around at the dance party, Cui Ju would probably have started playing around with Bai An like before.

Just as Bai An and Cui Ju were talking and laughing, a figure sat down next to Bai An.

Looking at the young man next to him, even though he was wearing an expensive suit, he still exuded a strong scholarly air.

The more Bai An looked at the handsome face, the more familiar it seemed to him, and he couldn't help but look at it a few more times.

The boy said gently, "Don't you remember me?"

Bai An saw that he was talking to him, looked hesitant, and slowly shook his head.

Seeing how ruthless Bai An was, Han Shu couldn't help but feel amused. He had clearly seen him a few days ago, so how could he have forgotten him so quickly?

"I've been to your house before." Han Shu said softly, "I went to deliver information to my uncle. Do you remember?"

After he said this, Bai An remembered.

"You are Han Shu, right?" Bai An smiled and said a little embarrassedly: "My memory may not be very good. I didn't recognize you at first, but I remember your name is Han Shu."

Han Shu couldn't help but smile when he saw that Bai An still remembered his name, "I also remember that your name is Bai An."

There was a little humor in Han Shu's tone, which made Bai An feel very friendly. It turned out that someone who looked as unapproachable as a turtleneck flower would also speak to him in this tone.

After this conversation, Bai An felt that Han Shu and she were already friends.

Bai An pushed the pastry in front of him to Han Shu and recommended: "This is quite delicious. Try it. Cui Ju and I both think it's delicious."

As he said this, he turned to look at Cui Ju, but Cui Ju was no longer by his side.

Bai An was stunned. When did Cui Ju disappear?

Bai An quickly stood up and looked around, and saw Cui Ju already dancing in the center of the stage with a boy who was about their age.

It can be seen that Cuiju's dance steps are not very skillful, but the boy next to her is quite gentlemanly. He has been accommodating Cuiju and coming up to her from time to time, probably to comfort her.
