Chapter 70: The Bridal Chamber
Li Zheng sat in the bridal sedan, secretly lifting her veil. Through the cracks in the window, she could see the people outside happily joining in the fun. Although she might be narcissistic, she felt that this must be everyone's blessing for her. People who are getting married always think that their wedding will be blessed by everyone.
When they reached the door, the matchmaker said, "The bride is getting out of the sedan." Hearing this voice, she knew it was time to get out. A hand reached out from the sedan, belonging to Gu Chengze. Li Zheng held out her hand, and he led her down the sedan. Once she was down, he released the other end of the red silk. She walked cautiously, holding the silk in her hand. The veil obscured most of her vision, and Gu Chengze also walked slowly, cooperating with her.
When she reached the door and had to step over the fire basin, she did it with ease. When she reached the main hall, everyone was beaming with joy, eager to see the bride. The matchmaker explained the ritual of first bowing to heaven and earth, then to the parents. Since neither of them had parents, they placed their parents' tablets on top.
"The ceremony is over, and we will be escorted to the bridal chamber."
Li Zheng quickened her pace upon hearing this, hoping to return home quickly as she was truly exhausted. Gu Chengze, who was standing by, of course noticed her little gesture and could only cooperate. Arriving at the bridal chamber, Li Zheng quickly sat down. Gu Chengze couldn't remove the veil at this point; he had to go out and entertain the guests before he could do so.

After seeing the servants leave, he lifted the bed curtain and sat beside the bed, looking at the sleeping Li Zheng. As soon as he lifted the veil, he saw that she was not as fair as before, but seemed even more charming after putting on makeup today. Although she hadn't opened her eyes yet, he was afraid that if she really opened her eyes, she would seduce him away.
Seeing her slightly uneven breathing, Gu Chengze curled his lips and reached out to her collar with malicious intent. Sure enough, before he could get through, he was grabbed by someone. What he saw was a pair of angry eyes, staring at him and saying, "What are you doing?"

"Ah, no, no, change another one." Gu Chengze saw her resistance and stopped making things difficult for her. "Okay, A Zheng, the water is getting cold. It's time to take a bath."
After hearing this, Li Zheng finally stopped resisting and got up to wash. Gu Chengze helped her take off the phoenix crown, and then she took off her clothes. As soon as she unbuttoned her clothes, she saw Gu Chengze had already started to take off his underwear. "You, what are you taking off?" Her voice was a little stuttering.
"Huh? What's wrong? Don't you want to take a shower?" He looked innocent.
"You! Forget it, you wash first." She wanted to be angry, but seeing his look, she didn't want to say anything more and just let it go.
"A Zheng, don't you want to join us?" There was an invitation in his eyes.
"Are you going or not?" Seeing that she was a little angry, Gu Chengze stopped teasing her. When he got into the bathtub, he felt a little regretful.
Li Zheng was sitting in the bathtub. When she turned around, she could see Gu Chengze on the other side of the screen. She didn't want to get up and just continued bathing slowly. However, no matter how long she waited, the water would get cold, so she had no choice but to get up and put on her clothes.
Gu Chengze smiled slightly when he heard her getting dressed, then stood up, picked up a cloth and went to her side to wipe her hair. Li Zheng was a little nervous when he wiped her hair, but she didn't expect him to say, "Zheng, you're really good at washing. I waited until my hair was dry."
