Chapter 135 Gambling

Li Yan and her father returned home with a bag full of things. Mrs. Lin saw that the father and daughter brought back a variety of dried vegetables and sorted out a portion: "We can't finish all of this. You can take some to your grandmother."

Li Yan took some as she was told and went next door.

Mrs. Wu looked at her granddaughter who came over with the things and asked, "Have you been to your uncle's house? Why are you back so early?"

Li Yan handed the thing in her hand to Wu: "This is given by my aunt. Mother asked me to give some to you to try."

Wu declined, "You can keep it for yourself. We have all these at home!"

Li Yan: "Mom said, let you taste my aunt's cooking."

Wu had no choice but to accept it: "You said last time that you wanted to raise chickens. When are you going to buy some? They'll be ready for slaughter in the next few days."

Li Yan: "Grandma, let's go check it out tomorrow morning!"

Wu agreed.

Li Yan looked around the house and didn't see Maomao: "Grandma, did uncle and the others go to Maomao's grandmother's house too?"

Wu nodded. In fact, early in the morning, when Li Erlang and his daughter left home, Wu gave her aunt a piece of material and two hundred coins and asked her to buy a fish on the way to her in-laws' house.

My aunt happily took the things and took the whole family to Liujia Village.

When they arrived at Liu's house, Wang was so happy to see her daughter and her family that she invited them in and took her daughter-in-law to the kitchen to prepare food.

Old Man Liu likes his son-in-law Li Dalang very much. Li Dalang is a smart man. As soon as he comes home, he helps Old Man Liu put away the farm tools.

When little cousin Maomao saw Da Niu sucking his nose and turning his head away arrogantly, he didn't want to talk to this kid.

Da Niu generously took out the mooncakes that grandma bought yesterday and said, "Cousin, come and try them. They are delicious. I couldn't bear to eat them, so I waited for you to come!"

Maomao then saw you turn your head back, swallowed hard, and said proudly, "I have one at home, too. You..."

Before he could finish his words, a piece of mooncake was stuffed into his mouth. "It smells so good." The little guy couldn't resist the temptation and started eating it.

I completely forgot the mental preparation I made before going out and the vow I made to never play with my cousin. So the two little guys got together and started eating snacks.

After Wang had finished cooking, she asked her wife, "Dashan, you left early this morning. Why haven't you come back yet?"

Sun whispered, "My husband promised to come back for dinner today."

Wang said with a look of disappointment, "Could it be that the brat has gone out to hang out with those scoundrels again? You go ahead and do your work. I'll go check it out." After saying that, she took off her protective clothing and went out.

Wang went straight to Liu Mazi's house in the village. From a distance, Wang could hear the deafening shouting from Liu Mazi's house. When she arrived at the door, Liu was so angry that she was fuming. This brat didn't go home, but was fighting crickets with a group of uneducated people.

Wang rushed forward and grabbed her son's ear: "You little bastard, why are you fooling around here instead of going home?"

Liu Shan was suddenly interrupted and was about to get angry, but when he found out it was his mother, he immediately stopped!

He smiled apologetically and said, "Mom, I'll go back after I finish this game. Look at my general, he's about to win."

Two crickets were fighting fiercely on the field. Wang was so angry at her son that her heart ached. She said angrily, "Are you going to leave or not?"

While he was speaking, the cricket that was so arrogant just now suddenly fell behind and soon became silent.

Liu Shan exclaimed: "My great general!"

The winner cheered and chased Liu Shan to ask for money: "I accept the loss, Liu Shan, give me ten cents!"

Seeing that they were still gambling, Wang was so angry that she took off her shoes and hit her son.

While Liu Shan was dodging his mother's attacks, he said to the man, "Why are you so anxious? Can't you see that I'm being chased and beaten by my mother?"

The other onlookers looked at Liu Shan's embarrassed appearance and laughed.

As Liu Shan ran out, he coaxed his mother: "Mom, stop hitting me, I'm just playing!"

Wang chased him out of the door and said angrily, "You gambled and you think you're right?"

Liu Shan muttered quietly, "If you hadn't distracted me just now, how could I have lost?" Afraid that his mother would continue to stare at him, he hurried over to flatter her, "Mom, it's a holiday today. My sister and brother-in-law are back, right? Let's go home!"

Wang had no choice but to endure it for the time being and settle the score with this boy later.
