Chapter 356: New Food

Lin Yunchu curled the corners of his mouth and was happy to watch from the side.

After almost preparing everything, Lin Cuizhi and the others left the Lin family and walked back to their own home.

"You should wash up quickly and go back to your room to rest. You still have to go to the shop tomorrow."

Since it was the first day of launching the cold noodles, Lin Yunchu was going along as well. With her around, Lin Changting and the others felt more at ease.

After hearing what Lin's mother said, Lin Yunchu nodded. She was indeed a little tired after a busy day. She pinched her sore arms, twisted her neck and walked towards her room.

The next morning, while the Lin family was still having breakfast, Lin Cuizhi arrived, along with Lin Changping and Zhao Chunxi, thinking that the shop might be too busy today.

Seeing that there was no important work to do in his own fields, Lin Qingshan asked them to go to the shop and help out for a day.

"Come in and have something to eat. There are steamed buns with wild vegetables in the pot in the kitchen. I'll bring them over right away."

When Lin's mother saw that Lin Cuizhi and others had arrived, she got up and went to the kitchen, intending to take out the wild vegetable buns that were still warm in the pot and bake a few more pancakes.

Fortunately, we cooked plenty of porridge in the morning, so we don’t have to worry about not having enough for so many people.

Because Lin's father, Lin Changshun, and his family often went to the fields, Lin's mother would cook extra food every day and let them take some of the leftovers with them so that they wouldn't have to run back and delay their work if they were hungry while working.

Lin Changping raised the corner of his mouth, waved his hands repeatedly at Lin's mother, and responded in a loud voice: "Aunt, don't bother, we are full at home and came here."

There were many of them, and Lin Qingshan told them last night that they had to go to the shop in town to help out today.

So before dawn in the morning, Zhao got up and made breakfast, and they all ate before coming to the Lin family.

When Mother Lin heard this, she couldn't help but glare at them. She knew in her heart that it must have been her eldest uncle who gave these instructions, fearing that too many of them would come here.

Worried that the breakfast they prepared was not enough, he came only after eating, for fear of troubling them. This uncle was good in every way, except that he was too polite. He always tried not to cause them any trouble.

However, Lin's father and mother didn't care about these things. Although Lin Cuizhi came to the shop to help, Lin Yunchu paid her the same wages as Lin Changting and Pan Xiuxiu.

But it’s different when brothers settle accounts clearly. It’s only right to pay for work done. Who doesn’t pay the people who work in the Lin family workshop?

It is not right to take advantage of them just because they are family. Lin Yunchu has always been very opinionated. Today, Lin Changping and others went to the shop to help.

Even if he made all kinds of excuses and refused to accept the wages, Lin Yunchu would find other reasons to pay him back later.

When the Lin family was having a hard time, Lin Qingshan and his family always wanted to help them. Even though life is better now, they should help each other even more.

"Then let's move these things onto the ox cart first. Yunchu, eat slowly and don't be in a hurry."

Lin Changping pointed at the things placed under the eaves with a smile. These were all prepared last night and were to be brought to the town today. He called Lin Cuizhi and Chunxi and started to move them out.

Lin Changting had already tied the ox cart to the gate of the Lin family's courtyard. They would move their things first, and then they could go directly to the town after Lin Yunchu and the others finished eating.

Mother Lin looked at the few people who started to get busy, raised her eyebrows, quickly finished the porridge in the bowl, and got up and walked into the kitchen.

After Lin Changping and his companions had moved all the things onto the ox cart, Lin Yunchu and his companions had finished their breakfast and were ready to go out.

Mother Lin packed a few wild grass steamed buns and freshly baked egg pancakes, wrapped them in oil paper, ran to the gate of the yard, and stuffed them into Lin Cuizhi's arms.

"Take it and eat it when you're hungry on the road. They're all freshly baked and still warm."

Although Lin Changping said that they had all eaten, they still had some time to go on the journey, so they could have eaten a few more pancakes.

After saying this with a smile, Lin's mother took a few steps back and stood at the gate of her yard. She watched the few people walk away towards the village entrance, then turned around, closed the gate, and went into the house.

Lin Yunchu and his companions staggered along the way, sharing the bread and wild vegetable buns that Lin's mother had brought with them. They had just finished eating when they arrived at the town.

After opening the door, Lin Yunchu began to arrange the division of labor. Lin Cuizhi and the other two continued to prepare the ingredients and soup base for the malatang as usual.

Zhao Chunxi lit a fire, and he and Lin Yunchu began to steam the cold noodles and gluten. Lin Changping washed the cucumbers as Lin Yunchu instructed and began to cut them into shreds.

As the sun gradually rose higher, the street in front of the shop gradually became more crowded, and the regular customers who usually came to Lin's Snack Shop began to patronize it one after another.

A man who looked quite friendly asked Lin Changting with a smile: "Changting, what new food did you make today? Why does it smell so good?"

Lin Yunchu, who had just prepared the sauce for the cold noodles, curled his lips. This guy really knows how to eat.

He could smell the sauce she had just prepared.

Lin Changting had already received Lin Yunchu's instructions. He turned around and looked at Lin Yunchu, only to see Lin Yunchu standing behind him nodding slightly at him.

Seeing this, Lin Changting raised the corner of his mouth and responded to the man with a smile:

"Uncle Yao, you have a really good nose!"

He raised his eyebrows slightly and continued, "Today our shop has launched a new food called Liangpi. You should try it."

"That's it. Paired with some shredded cucumber and fried peanuts, and our special sauce, it's sour and spicy, and the dough is soft and chewy. I guarantee you won't be able to get enough of it. It's so satisfying."

After hearing what Lin Changting said, not only the man just now, but also several old diners who came later became interested.

The food at Lin's Snack Shop is naturally delicious. Since the Lin's Snack Shop started selling this spicy hot pot, other restaurants in the town have also become popular.

There are many shops that make spicy hot pot, but the spicy hot pot at Lin’s Snack Shop is the most satisfying and authentic.

Many people, after trying the spicy hot pot in other shops, will eventually come back to Lin’s Snack Shop because the taste is completely different.

Later, even the complimentary cold dishes and fish soup served at the Lin Family Snack Shop tasted just as good as the food in the restaurant.

It's so rare to see that the Lin family shop has new food, so I must try a bowl.

Moreover, as soon as they entered the shop, they smelled a different fragrance than usual. Just the smell made them swallow their saliva.

Wouldn’t it taste even more delicious?

Hearing Lin Changting's words, they couldn't help but raise their hands and shouted at Lin Changting:

"Then you must give me a bowl!"
