After dinner, Xu Ning started to clean the crabs, and it was already midnight when he finished.
While frying crabs, Xu Ning occasionally glanced out the window and saw a sea of green eyes.
Wow, the whole wolf pack, young and old, is here, right?
Xu Ning was so scared that he didn't dare to look outside, fearing that he might have trypophobia.
Finally, Xu Ning finally fell asleep wrapped in a blanket and with earplugs in his ears. It must have been because the food outside was so fragrant. Xu Ning had fried crabs all night, and the wolves were so greedy that they howled until dawn.
Xu Ning woke up again and it was already noon.
I specially made a partition yesterday, and her bed finally no longer smells like cooking fumes. She slept very happily.
Xu Ning ate a lot of fried crabs last night and felt a little irritated. When he washed his face, he found that there was a lot of eye boogers.
Therefore, at noon, Xu Ning cooked some purslane soup with rice and ate it only after he was full.
The mud near the RV was trampled to the point of being unsightly. Xu Ning's rubber shoes were too heavy to lift after just a few steps, and he had to scrape the mud off the soles of his shoes before he could continue walking.
After dinner, Xu Ning opened the window of the RV to let in the wind and then closed it, otherwise there would be too many mosquitoes. He didn't notice it last night because he didn't turn off the lights, but he heard the buzzing sound as soon as he turned off the lights. Xu Ning just curled up his head in the quilt and slept all night.
The solar panels on the roof of the RV were fully charged. Xu Ning folded up the RV with a wave of his hand and continued walking towards the stream.
"I remember seeing some wild mint yesterday. Where was it?"
Xu Ning looked around and finally found it behind a rock.
Xu Ning took out a shovel, dug it up with the roots and soil, put it in a flowerpot, and finally put it into the space.
"Hey, it seems like I can plant a few other things like this." Xu Ning's thoughts diverged immediately, and he filled a few more pots with soil and planted purslane and water celery in them.
After finishing all these tasks, Xu Ning washed his rubber shoes, changed into cloth shoes and continued on his journey.
Xu Ning took out the compass from time to time to check the direction to make sure he was not going the wrong way. After walking for seven or eight days, he finally walked out of the mountains.
Xu Ning also got completely tanned because he traveled during the day every day.
"Hey! That kid! Stop! It's two cents to enter the city!" An officer stretched out his hand to stop Xu Ning, and Xu Ning pointed at himself.
"Brother, are you talking about me?"
"If it's not you, then who else can it be? Pay up quickly. You are not allowed to enter the city without it." Xu Ning grinned, looked around, and found that money was really required to enter the city. He immediately took out two cents from his pocket and gave it to the soldier.
"What are you doing in the city?" The soldier tossed two coins and looked at Xu Ning.
"You are a handsome boy, but too dark. What do you do? You won't be allowed into the city if you commit thieves." Many nobles have come to the city recently, and the county magistrate has specifically ordered them not to let anyone in casually.
"Sir, I'm just a farmer. I usually go up the mountain with my father to catch rabbits and birds. I don't know anything else." Xu Ning said, and took out two cents to give to the soldier.
"I went to the city today. My aunt, who serves in the noble lady's mansion, asked me to go and see a girl. The girl is a maid in the noble lady's mansion. She can't come out, and you can't let others come when you want to see her, right?" Xu Ning showed a hint of shyness on his face at the right time, playing the role of a shy boy to the fullest.
"Okay, go in, take a good look at your wife, and be careful when you walk. Your aunt should have told you that many noble people have come to the city recently!"
"I said it! Thank you, big brother!"
Xu Ning ran while waving her hands. After entering the city, she immediately hid in an empty alley and started putting on makeup.
Alpaca~
Who knows that a group of nobles have come to the city.
Xu Ning wanted to leave the city now, but when she thought about the long detour she would have to take, she decided to give up. It would be more comfortable to take a boat. Anyway, the soldiers mistook her for a man.
What is there to be afraid of? We don’t have anything we want, so why are we not young men anymore?
Damn!
After putting on makeup, Xu Ning looks no different from a man except for his inconspicuous Adam's apple and invisible crotch!
Xu Ning found a stall and sat down to eat a bowl of noodle soup. He asked the owner for the butcher's address and packed up five or six bowls of noodle soup to leave.
According to the address, Xu Ning came to the house of the most famous butcher Zhang and knocked on the door with empty hands.
"Who is it?" A middle-aged man with a full beard opened the door and saw Xu Ning, who looked like a matchstick. He said impatiently, "Boy, are you in the wrong place?"
"Aren't you Zhang the Butcher?"
"I am?"
"That's right!" Xu Ning slowly pushed Butcher Zhang away and walked inside. Butcher Zhang was about to get angry when he suddenly realized that this guy could actually push him away.
"What's up, little kid? What do you want from me?" Butcher Zhang closed the door. He had taken a day off today, but he didn't expect that a strange-looking young man would come to his door.
"Butcher Zhang, how long does it take you to teach someone how to kill livestock?"
"A smart person can learn it in one day, and that's me."
"Then teach me. I'm very smart!" Xu Ning stuffed ten taels of silver into his hand and asked, "Is it enough?"
Butcher Zhang squeezed the silver in his hand and wondered, "Why would you learn this with this money? Why not just hire someone?"
Ten taels of silver were enough for him to help others slaughter pigs for half a year.
“It is better to have what others have than to have it yourself; it is better to rely on yourself than to rely on others.”
"You're so pretentious! I think you're looking for trouble without any guilt." Butcher Zhang muttered. He said this, put away the silver and immediately started to take out his weapon.
"Let me make it clear first, you have to pay for the slaughter of the animals yourself." Butcher Zhang took out the knife and placed it on the table in the yard.
"No problem. Except for the pig, I have everything ready. I can bring it over later. I'll teach you today."
"That's fine. I can find you a pig too. Come back to my house in three quarters of an hour, okay?"
