Snow fell in the dead of night, the whole world was covered in white, and the trees and grass were covered in a thin layer of ice.
Early in the morning, after Xu Ning had breakfast, she pushed open the door of the RV, and the cold air began to penetrate her skin.
Xu Ning couldn't help but shrink his neck. After a shiver, goose bumps appeared all over his body.
The surrounding scenery didn't seem to have changed much from yesterday, it was still covered in silver.
The sun began to rise, and when I looked up there was not a cloud to be seen.
Xu Ning closed the door of the RV, wrapped himself up more tightly before walking out again, folded up the RV, and began to walk towards the fairy tale world made of ice and snow.
"Bao, why is it so much colder today than yesterday?"
"Hello players, the temperature has actually risen. It's the snow melting."
"I thought so." Xu Ning rubbed his hands in fluffy gloves through his thick clothes.
No wonder it’s so cold. The melted snow absorbs the heat, so isn’t it freezing cold?
Xu Ning took out a telescope and observed it, then turned on the monitor to find the nearest mountain nearby, hoping to find a suitable place to park the RV.
The place where she was standing was flat and low-lying. Once the snow melted completely, it would probably be flooded.
The weather was very cold. The further Xu Ning went up the mountain, the faster he found the snow melting. Near the top of the mountain, small streams had formed on the ground and were flowing down.
Xu Ning's boots were waterproof, but the outside was wet, and the mud was sticky on his feet, making it very clumsy for him to walk.
Xu Ning found a good place to park the RV, then immediately got in and changed into a pair of boots.
Xu Ning cleaned the pair of boots he took off with clean snow and hung them directly next to the RV to dry.
Xu Ning was woken up by the cold this morning. One can never sleep long in winter, no matter how warm the quilt is.
Fortunately, Xu Ning woke up early in the morning, otherwise it would be troublesome for her to leave by noon when the sun was bright and the snow had melted.
Xu Ning covered his eyes with his hands, squinted and looked around, and listened carefully to find that the sound of flowing water was getting louder.
The thin ice on the branches and leaves of the trees also began to melt, dripping, and finally flowed into the snow water on the ground.
Before traveling to the Daqing Dynasty, Xu Ning, a native southerner, had never seen snow, let alone watched it melt.
Later, he settled in Haicheng with the Xu family. Although Haicheng is also a southern city, it occasionally snows in Haicheng. Then Xu Ning realized that except for the snow water from the top of the mountain, which is really delicious, the other snow is basically tasteless, and even has a hint of bitterness.
Xu Ning brought out a recliner, spread a quilt on it first, then wrapped himself in another quilt and lay down on it.
The sun in the sky was a little dazzling, so Xu Ning pulled his hat to block the light, leaving only a pupa-like figure basking in the sun.
The quilt quickly absorbed the heat. Xu Ning, who had been feeling cold all over, shuddered and sighed comfortably.
The sound of running water not far away seemed to be getting louder. Xu Ning continued to close his eyes comfortably, falling asleep as the recliner rocked gently.
When I opened my eyes again, it was almost afternoon and the sun in the sky began to tilt to the other side.
Xu Ning rubbed his eyes and looked down the mountain. He found that half of the snow on the mountain had melted, and a muddy river had formed at the foot of the mountain.
The sound of the river was dull and surging, and the ground on the top of the mountain was already half dry. Xu Ning stood up and stretched. The ground under his feet was still a little soft, but it was no longer sticky.
The wind around was still chilly, and Xu Ning's already limited diligence was blown away by the cold wind.
There was plenty of solar energy today, and the RV was fully charged in just one morning.
Xu Ning turned on the air conditioner in the car and adjusted it to about 10 degrees. After the air in the RV warmed up, he took off his coat and sat at the dining table to prepare for lunch.
Xu Ning didn't plan to cook for himself. There was still a lot of food left from the food he bought in Suzhou Lake City, and there was also a lot of barbecue he had grilled while soaking in the hot springs in Huangshan.
Xu Ning took out a large plate and placed it on the table. The plate was bought in Cidu Town, and the pattern was her favorite blue and white porcelain.
She put half of the plate with steaming hot grilled meat and vegetables, and the other half with a few fruits she wanted to eat, and then took out a bowl of noodle soup that Su Cheng bought.
Xu Ning picked up the chopsticks and started eating the barbecue, which cooled down faster. After finishing the barbecue, he ate noodle soup, which just diluted the taste in his mouth. After the noodle soup, he ate some fruit, and the greasy feeling in his mouth disappeared immediately.
After finishing all the food, Xu Ning threw the plates and soup bowls into the dishwasher.
Many of the food he had bought came with tableware. Xu Ning thought that there might be times in the future when he couldn't or didn't want to cook, so having more tableware would give him more space to store food.
Of course, Xu Ning always asked the store for new tableware.
It is easy to feel sleepy after eating a full lunch.
Xu Ning didn't turn off the air conditioner, but switched it to power-saving mode and kept it running. She put on her coat and hat, got out of the RV again, and returned to her recliner.
The quilt on the recliner was drying in the sun. Xu Ning put away the warm quilt, took out two more quilts, and continued to lie down and dry the quilts as he did in the morning.
The quilt was soon warmed up again, and Xu Ning fell asleep.
The sun was still high in the sky in the afternoon when Xu Ning was woken up by the cold.
It's even colder now than in the morning.
The quilt was completely cold. Xu Ning took away the quilt and chair and stomped his feet hard on the spot.
After the numbness in his feet wore off, Xu Ning looked down the mountain and saw that it was already a vast ocean.
