Los (repair)

Los (repair)

Although the relationship between these two people seems ordinary, even a little bad, they are actually relatives, and very close relatives.

Kunkun is Los's cousin. Their fathers are brothers. Kunkun's father is the eldest brother, and Los's father is the younger brother.

Raising cattle is a family craft, and cowherd is also a hereditary position. Like property inheritance, it is passed on to the eldest son. Logically, Kunkun's father is the elder brother, and the position of cowherd should have been passed on to Kunkun's father, but now the cowherd position is inherited by Los.

Why is this?

Kunkun's father died of an acute illness not long after he became a cowherd.

Kunkun was only five years old at the time and was not capable of taking on the responsibility of raising cattle. After discussions between the village chief and several craftsmen, the position of cattleherd fell on Los's father.

Los's father was young and strong at the time, and he had been influenced by his family since he was a child, so he also knew a little about raising cattle. Compared with the five-year-old Kunkun, he was naturally a more suitable successor to the cowherd.

This change in the hereditary position of cattle herder is reasonable and appropriate in theory, but for the person involved, it is a matter of life and death that can affect his life, or even several generations.

The Los family lived a good life, but the Kunkun family went from being a family of craftsmen to ordinary villagers, and their income decreased significantly. Although they had a house inherited from their grandfather and father, as well as family property such as fields, farm tools and food, they had lost the hereditary position of cattleherd. In another generation, they might not even have this little property left.

Ever since Kunkun grew up and understood more, his resentment towards his uncle has grown deeper and deeper. Although his uncle was nice to him, this little bit of kindness was far from enough compared to the position of a cowherd.

When his uncle was alive, Kunkun could suppress his thoughts and maintain the relationship as a relative. However, he did not expect that his uncle would die of a sudden illness, and Los, his cousin who was three years younger than him, inherited the position of cattle herder. Kunkun could no longer suppress the jealousy in his heart.

Why? Why!

It’s so unfair!

The position of cowherd should be returned to him!

Ever since Kunkun became more and more jealous and resentful, the relationship between the two families has become worse and worse. Although Kunkun did not say it directly to people's faces, his usual words and actions always make people feel uncomfortable.

Los also guessed what his cousin was thinking, but he couldn't give up the position of cowherd to his cousin. This matter not only concerned him, but his family would also be affected, so he could only treat it coldly.

After Los smoked the cowshed, he started to pick the cows.

Cows cannot work all the time, otherwise they will lose too much weight. Los remembered how much work each cow had done. He picked out a cow that had rested for a day and led it out to Kunkun.

Kunkun also has basic skills in judging cows. He looked around and thought, "Well, the cow is okay. Los didn't fool him."

He smiled and nodded. "Thanks, Los."

Holding the cow rope, Kunkun walked towards the village entrance.

As soon as the cow was led to the village entrance, Kunkun saw the forest ranger who was supposed to be guarding the post outside the village, nodding and bowing as he led a neatly dressed and respectable man into the village.

Kunkun quickly led the cow to the side of the road, smiled at the visitor with a slightly flattering smile, and waited until the visitor passed by before he stopped the ranger and asked, "Bulin, who is this gentleman?"

Brin straightened his back in front of Kun Kun: "This is the gentleman from the Viscount's Mansion in Fussen Town, and he is here to see Ross."

Looking for Los?

Kunkun's heart skipped a beat.

Brin waved his hand and said, "Okay, I won't chat with you anymore. I have something important to do. That's it."

After that he turned around and bent down to please the audience: "Sir, please come this way."

Kun Kun watched the adult and Brin walking further and further away. The little mouse in his heart scratched and felt more and more uncomfortable. He gritted his teeth and simply followed them, leading the cow.

In the cowshed, Los was checking the calf to see if there were any bugs hooked on its fur.

"Los, Los." Someone shouted outside.

Los recognized the voice of the forest ranger Brin and immediately responded, "Coming."

When I came out, I saw that there was not only Brin standing outside, but also a respectable adult. A little further outside, there were some villagers watching the fun. They formed a semi-circle outside, and Kunkun, who was leading the cow, was particularly conspicuous in the circle.

Ross withdrew his gaze and bowed to the adult: "Best wishes, sir."

The man nodded and said, "Are you Los, the cattle herder from Abang Village?"

"Yes, sir," Ross replied.

"Okay, then come with me. The Viscountess wants to see you," said the lord.

What? The Viscountess wants to see you!

Everyone was shocked.

Los was also stunned.

The adult was somewhat pleased with the effect he had created, and urged with his belly puffed out: "Hurry up, pack up now, we're leaving right away."

Losnenna should be.

The acting village chief who heard the news arrived quickly. After greeting the messenger, he hurried into the cowshed. He wanted to give Los a proper lecture.

"Los, bring an extra pair of shoes with you. They must be clean. Change your shoes after entering the castle so as not to dirty the ground."

"Los, wash your hands and face quickly and make them clean."

"Los, do you have a clean hat to cover your messy hair?"

"Los..."

Following the acting village chief's earnest instructions, Los left Abang Village and followed the adult on the journey to Fussen Town.

In the evening, the two arrived at the town of Fussen and walked into the Viscount's Mansion.

Ross was led to a corner by the servants of the Viscount's Mansion. They asked him to take off his shoes made of wooden boards, rattan and old cloth, and then carefully wash his head, face, hands and feet with water. After making sure that there was no dirt on his face, hands and feet, he was led to a room to wait for the Viscountess's summons.

"I, I brought clean shoes. Can I wear them?" Los asked nervously, his washed toes curled up nervously.

The servant snorted, "How clean can your shoes be?"

Ross lowered his head.

After the servant left, Los stood awkwardly in the room. The warm yellowish light fell from above, illuminating the room.

His bare feet were uneasily pressed together. Everything here was so, so... Los didn't know what to say. He just felt that every object in the room, the lights, curtains, chairs, tables, cabinets, paintings, vases, floors, were so beautiful, so clean, and must be very expensive.

Good-looking and expensive, the two can almost be equated. Los doesn't know how much these things are worth, but he is sure that they are definitely much more expensive than his own.

Licking his lips, Los's nervous mouth felt dry.

The door behind him opened. Los shuddered, bent down deeply, and retreated to the corner.

Los lowered his head deeply, and out of the corner of his eye he saw a very beautiful green skirt sweeping across the floor, and then a pair of cold, hard leather boots appeared behind the skirt. He was so scared that he lowered his head even lower.

The sound of a skirt sweeping across a chair passed by, and the clatter of leather boots stopped.

"Los, the cowherd from Abang Village." A voice as sweet as a lark sounded.

Ross held his breath, walked quickly to the center of the room, and knelt respectfully. Only then did he dare to speak carefully: "Sir, I kneel before the esteemed Viscountess."

"Look up."

Ross slowly raised his head.

The Viscountess sat on the chair, her posture was so elegant, the light falling on her golden hair was like holy light.

Ross closed his eyes, not daring to look directly.

Elena was amused by Los's reaction: "Okay, don't be so nervous. I called you here because I have something to tell you, not to eat you."

Ross became even more nervous.

Elena didn't care about Los's reaction and said directly, "The last time I went to Abang Village, I was quite impressed by your cowshed. Although your cowshed is not very good and many things are not done well, and your cattle-raising skills are also very crude, compared to the cowsheds and cowherds in other villages, at least I can see your dedication. So, I decided to use your cowshed as a pilot. Los, I will teach you the cattle-raising techniques. You raise cattle well. If you do well, I will let you raise more cattle and give you rewards."

Elena spoke a little fast, and some of the words were too difficult for Los, but Los listened to her every word with full concentration and surprisingly understood the meaning.

The Viscountess wants to teach him how to raise cattle! She will let him raise more cattle in the future!

Oh my God, am I dreaming?

How could such a lucky thing happen to me?

"How about it? Are you willing?" The Viscountess's voice seemed to come from the sky.

Los answered dazedly: "I do." I do, I do, I do.

"Okay, since you're willing, then you can stay in the mansion for the next few days. I'll have someone arrange a room for you." Elena's eyes fell on the top of Ross's head. "I will teach you personally. I hope you won't disappoint me."

Los knelt on the ground: "I will obey your will."

After Elena left, the servant who had brought Los here before came in and led Los through a long corridor into a small room. The room only had room for a narrow rattan bed and a small wooden box.

"There is a cloth towel, a cup, a bowl, and a spoon in the box. These are allocated to you by the mansion. Everyone in the mansion has a set, which is for personal use only and cannot be mixed. In addition, there is a set of clothes in the box. They are the uniforms worn by the servants in the mansion. I'm giving them to you now. The clothes you are wearing are too dirty. You can't appear in front of the young lady in this set of clothes tomorrow." The servant who led the way explained.

Los quickly assured.

The servant then told them where to wash and where to eat. After listening to Los's repetition, he left with peace of mind.

Los thanked him again and again, and only after the servant left and the wooden door of the room was closed did Los dare to look around the room with confidence.

A separate room, a clean room.

A comfortable rattan bed, a separate set of utensils, and a set of clean clothes.

The Viscount's Mansion is truly grand and generous.

Los carefully opened the wooden box, picked up the things inside one by one, and finally picked up the errand uniform.

This dress is so nice, Los couldn't help but sigh.

Los took off his clothes, folded them carefully, put them in the box, and then put on his errand clothes.

Los felt that he was completely clean.

After spending an emotional night in this small room, the next day, when it was still dark, Los got up early, went to the washroom to clean himself up, went to the cafeteria to have breakfast, and then waited obediently in the room for the Viscountess to summon him.

Time passed little by little, the sun rose higher and higher, and Ross couldn't help but start to worry whether the Viscountess had forgotten that he existed?

What should he do if the Viscountess forgets?

Will I be sent back?
