Chapter 4 Wandering

Gu Lingfeng drove off. Zhao Si waited for a long time but he didn't come back, so he left too, carrying his bag. He had to find a place to stay first. He was tired and hungry after running around in the woods for most of the day, and he was dirty and needed a shower.

He walked quickly, and soon he was out of the alley. It was rush hour, and the streets were full of people and cars. All kinds of sounds filled Zhao Si's ears. He stood at the intersection and looked around blankly.

The wide streets were filled with giant monsters called cars, coming and going, their colorful lights flashing beautifully from near and far. Tall buildings stood on both sides of the street, stretching as far as the eye could see. The floors of the buildings were filled with shops, their bright lights so that you could see what was on sale at a glance.

People were coming and going around, some strolling leisurely, some hurrying, a few walking together, and some walking alone. But they all had one thing in common: they were dressed strangely, especially the women, who wore scanty clothes that exposed their skin. Zhao Si only took a glance at them and silently recited the Heart Purification Mantra in his heart.

Zhao Si was secretly shocked that the world below the mountain was so different, but he was only confused for a moment before he gladly accepted everything. It was different, so what? This world looked quite interesting.

Zhao Si looked around and found his target. "Sir, do you know where the nearby inn is?"

The person he chose was a young man. He looked kind-hearted and had a clear appearance, so he must be a college student who had not yet been polluted by society.

The young man was slightly startled by his strange appearance, and then heard him speak in an elegant tone, thinking that this guy was quite into the cosplay.

He smiled, accepted it well, and enthusiastically showed Zhao Si the way. "That's it, see? That big, flashing sign with Hongshan Hotel written on it."

Zhao Si saw it, saw the large, glittering sign, but couldn't recognize all the characters on it. He could only make out the word "mountain." He was terrified, but he didn't say it out loud. He nodded calmly and thanked them.

The young man left after completing his task, leaving Zhao Si standing there in a daze. He looked around and realized that he didn't recognize most of the words on the street!

Could it be that all the characters he learned after so much hard work and countless beatings and punishments from his master were wrong???

Could it be that the master also didn't know many characters? Otherwise, how could he have taught them the wrong ones?

This shouldn’t be the case? A crack appeared in Zhao Si’s worldview.

Master: “…” Evil disciple! Come back! I’ll beat you to death!

Zhao Si was heartbroken. He felt bad for himself because he had been beaten and punished before. If he had known this would happen, he would not have practiced calligraphy so seriously. It would have been more fun to practice martial arts for a while or sneak out to shoot birds.

He took a deep breath, composed himself, and walked towards Hongshan Hotel.

"ID card." The young man at the front desk took a moment to glance at him from his phone screen.

Zhao Si didn't know what an ID card was. He didn't have one anyway. "No."

The young man frowned, his fingers dancing rapidly on the phone screen. His cool operating skills were all wasted, and his screen went gray. He looked up at Zhao Si impatiently and cursed him inwardly, "You can't move in without an ID card."

"I have money."

"Even if you have money, it won't work!"

Zhao Si wasn't the type of person who liked to get entangled. If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work. Let's just go to the next place. He picked up his bag and turned to leave. "Goodbye!"

The young man didn't say anything. Just as he saw the boy about to walk out the door, he shouted, "Hey! I'm telling you, you won't be allowed to stay anywhere without an ID!"

Zhao Si paused, but didn't believe it and walked away without looking back.

He looked for hotels on the street one by one, and went into any place that looked like a hotel to ask.

Of course, they were all rejected without exception.

In a society ruled by law, and in the capital, these things are strictly controlled. If someone is found to have checked in without an ID card, they will be severely fined, so no one will take advantage of the situation and let him in.

Zhao Si had no choice but to wander around the streets, trying to find a place to rest for the night before making plans for tomorrow.

As Zhao Si walked, he slowly arrived at a park.

It was already late at night and there was almost no one in the park. He looked around, trying to find a place to sleep. After all, his internal strength was strong and he didn't feel cold in this spring night with a temperature of around 10 degrees.

"Hey! Young man!" An old man lying on a stool saw him walking back and forth several times and finally couldn't help but call him.

"What's the matter, old man?"

"Why are you wandering around in this park at such a young age at night instead of going home?"

"Oh, I'm looking for a place to sleep."

"You want to sleep in this park?" The old man looked at Zhao Si. He had a tall figure and handsome looks. Although his clothes were strange, they were neat and tidy. He didn't look like a homeless person.

"Yes, I wanted to stay at the inn, but they said I didn't have an ID and wouldn't let me stay."

"." The old man ignored him, turned over and lay down to continue sleeping.

Nowadays, if someone is young but says he doesn’t have an ID card, he is either lying or he is not a good person and doesn’t dare to use his ID card. Haha!

Zhao Si didn't understand what was going on. Seeing that the old man had stopped talking, he didn't bother him. He patted his butt and continued to look for a place.

As we walked deeper into the park, we actually found an empty bench with no one sleeping on it. However, the bench seemed unstable. It swayed every time we moved, and it made an annoying creaking sound.

But it's okay, isn't our Zhao Si a martial arts expert? This little problem won't bother him. He blew away the non-existent dust on the stool with satisfaction, took off his bag, and went to bed with his clothes on.
