Chapter 147 Extra (Part 2)

(Dizzy, I was so excited after writing it last night that I posted this chapter first. I don’t know how to adjust it, so please read the next chapter first)

For safety reasons, the mountain was equipped with numerous surveillance cameras and a security team. Late one night, a security guard on duty heard a few faint cries. The sudden, eerie silence of the mountain sent a shiver through the guard's scalp, nearly causing him to wet his pants. Trembling, he woke his sleeping colleague, gathered his tools, and cautiously walked out. He opened the gate and saw a small object on the ground.

A little baby wrapped tightly, white and chubby, quite cute.

The security guard immediately called Gu Lingfeng and then called the police. Soon the police and Gu Lingfeng and Zhao Si arrived. They checked the surveillance footage and saw that a thin young woman put the child at the door. She pinched the child when she left, probably because she was afraid that the child would get cold if not discovered for too long.

Abandoning a child is no small matter. Using surveillance footage, the police quickly located the woman in the hospital. She was a pitiful individual, an orphan whose child had been defrauded by a scumbag and whose illness threatened to end her life. She had no other options but to find another life for her child. While in the hospital, she heard about the Wuming Sect and the charitable work the foundation was doing, and decided to leave her child there.

Zhao Si and Gu Lingfeng went to the hospital to meet the woman. After learning about her condition, Gu Lingfeng applied for a sum of money from the foundation for her treatment, but she eventually died. Before she died, she cried and begged them to take in the child.

When Zhao Si looked at the child, he thought of himself. He didn't know why his parents didn't want him. He wondered if they were also forced to do so and then kept the child out of soft-heartedness.

The child was a boy named Chen Xi, born just after sunrise in the morning. His nickname was Yangyang. Zhao Si and Gu Lingfeng didn't formally adopt him. Zhao Si took him in as his personal disciple and promised her that he would raise the child.

This was what Zhao Si and Gu Lingfeng had discussed. The Gu family was wealthy and powerful, so they wouldn't have children but Gu Lingyun would. Although Gu Lingyun might not care, they didn't want to have a child for no reason and take away things that should belong to their nephew or niece, whose whereabouts they didn't even know.

It was mainly to protect against any unexpected events, in case the child grew up to be unlucky and had some unforeseen thoughts, trying to seize the family property and causing unrest in the family. However, as long as he was well, Gu Lingfeng and Zhao Si would naturally not be without him.

With the sudden addition of a child, Zhao Si and Gu Lingfeng were forced to become stay-at-home dads, but they didn't know how to do it, so they simply moved to the mountains and hired two aunts to take care of the baby. The child was under their eyes 24 hours a day, providing both care and supervision.

Two years passed in the blink of an eye. Yangyang could already walk and run. He would cling to Zhao Si's thighs and call him "Master" and "Uncle Xiaofeng" in a baby voice. Yangyang was very cute, white, chubby, and strong as a calf. He was very sweet and not shy at all. He had been raised by countless grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters since he was a child. He was the little darling of the sect and the junior brother of many people.

Ye Bingzhu is young and has just started her career, so she and Gu Lingyun have not had children yet. Gu's father and mother can only hold Yangyang to satisfy their desire to be grandparents. They happily hold Yangyang and walk around the hilltop every day, and take Yangyang to the playground from time to time.

Today is the sixth day of March, a Sunday. The employees of the charity fund are not at work, and all those who came to practice martial arts have gone down the mountain. Gu Lingfeng has something to do with Lu Chi at the bar, and the security guards and chefs also have the afternoon off. Only Zhao Si and Yang Yang are left on the huge mountain.

Today is Zhao Si's birthday. He has made an appointment with friends to celebrate in the evening. However, it is still early. Zhao Si has nothing to do, so he holds Yang Yang in his arms. Yang Yang holds Du Du in his arms, and the three of them squeeze into a recliner and doze off.

It was still a bit cold in Beijing in March. Zhao Si moved the lounge chair under the sun. The warm sunlight shone on their bodies and they fell asleep quickly. After an unknown amount of time, Zhao Si suddenly opened his eyes. An inexplicable acceleration of his heartbeat made him feel uneasy.

He took out his cell phone to call Gu Lingfeng, and suddenly his ears moved, as if he heard some faint footsteps. He instinctively felt several powerful internal forces approaching him.

Zhao Si was stunned for a moment, then quickly hid Yangyang and Dudu in the room and waited for these strange uninvited guests in the yard.

After two knocks, the door opened and Zhao Si opened it with a sullen face.

"...Master." Zhao Si looked at the person who came in disbelief. His lips trembled for a long time and he spoke timidly.

"Hahaha, good disciple, I've finally found you!"

“Senior Brother!”

"Junior brother!"

The people who came turned out to be the seven gourd brothers from Zhao Wuming and Zhao Si, all the senior and junior brothers were present.

Zhao Si couldn't believe what he saw. How could this be possible? Tears welled up in his eyes, and he didn't dare blink, afraid that if he opened them again, there would be nothing.

"Why are you still crying?" Zhao Wuming reached out and wiped the corners of Zhao Si's eyes. While he was complaining, his eyes were actually red too.

The fellow apprentices rushed over and hugged their little brother.

"Brother, we missed you so much!!"

"Yes, Senior Brother, why don't you come back? We've been looking for you so hard!"

It turned out that not long after Zhao Si went down the mountain, his master couldn't bear to let him go. He regretted not coming out to say goodbye to him, and then chased him. As a result, he just happened to see Zhao Si jumping off the cliff.

The master didn't believe that Zhao Si was dead, so he called all his disciples back and took them from the mountain to the foot of the mountain, determined to find Zhao Si in person or alive. After six years, they traveled thousands of miles across rivers and streams, and finally arrived at this strange place and met Zhao Si.
