Chapter 2 Termination of the Contract

Suddenly, a bright light appeared in the distance.

Zhao Si lamented that he was not destined to die, and he gathered up his last bit of strength and ran away.

"Alas!!"

Seeing the situation in front clearly, Zhao Si couldn't help but curse loudly, and stomped his feet hard on the ground to brake suddenly, leaving a long trail on the ground.

There is a cliff ahead!

Zhao Si stopped just at the edge, only a little over a foot away from the cliff. He pinched his legs that had gone limp from fear and carefully stuck his head out to look down.

There was a vast expanse of white below, and he couldn't see the bottom at all. He kicked a stone down and waited for a long time before a flock of birds were startled. If this man fell down, he would either turn into a meat patty or die.

There was a bottomless cliff in front and a ferocious and brutal beast behind. Zhao Si stood on the edge, unable to move forward or backward.

Soon, the blind bears caught up.

If there was only one, Zhao Si could still give it his all and maybe even fight his way out. But with two of them, even if he trained for another ten or eight years, he wouldn't be able to defeat two blind bears.

And even if he managed to escape, he would not be able to get away unscathed. There were probably countless ferocious wild beasts in the deep mountains and dense forests, and he would definitely not survive with his serious injuries.

Zhao Si looked up at the sky, feeling as if God was going to kill him. It had only been half a day since he came down the mountain. He had not seen the world outside the mountain, nor tasted the delicacies outside the mountain, but now he was going to be buried in this desolate place, and maybe not even his body would be left.

If I had known earlier, if I had known earlier... I had known earlier that he would also go down the mountain... This has been his obsession for more than ten years.

Forget it, instead of being torn to pieces and eaten by a blind bear, it would be better to be cool and jump off the cliff by myself. Maybe I can even keep my body intact.

I’ve made up my mind, let’s do it this way.

Zhao Si put the bag on his back, took a big bite of the bird he had been reluctant to throw away, held his sword tightly in one hand, and jumped off the cliff with a sense of righteousness.

Seeing that the prey they had been chasing all the way suddenly disappeared, the two blind bears were stunned. They quickly ran to the edge of the cliff and sniffed back and forth. They dug several big holes in the soil and wanted to find Zhao Si and tear him to pieces.

······

With a bang, Gu Lingfeng raised his hand and threw the contract on the table, his sharp eyes sweeping across the face of the person sitting opposite him.

"What do you mean?"

"It's meaningless. Isn't it clearly written here? I want to terminate the contract with you." Li Yilin sat calmly, holding a pen and turning it casually with a half-smile in his hand.

After a moment of silence, Gu Lingfeng tried hard to control his anger and asked him gently, "Why did you terminate the contract?"

Li Yilin was still nonchalant, not at all like the well-behaved and obedient person he usually was in front of Gu Lingfeng. "Why else? Of course I just don't get along with you."

Gu Lingfeng was choked and stunned. He quickly recalled in his mind all the big and small things that had happened since they signed the contract. He was very puzzled, "Why can't we get along? Haven't we always gotten along well?"

"Oh, very harmonious!" Li Yilin sneered, "You think we get along very well because I tolerate you in everything. At work, you decide what movies I film, what endorsements I take, and who I work with. In my daily life, you control what I eat, what I wear, and what time I get home. You even have to report to you about the friends I make and any new people I meet!"

Li Yilin grew angrier and angrier as he spoke, shouting out all the grievances he'd suffered over the past few years: "I'm not signing a contract, I'm in jail!"

“······” Gu Lingfeng was stunned and couldn’t find any words to refute for a moment.

Is that so? Gu Lingfeng thought silently, it seemed to be true, but he was doing it for Li Yilin's own good, so it wasn't as exaggerated as he said, right?

But Gu Lingfeng didn't want to break up with Li Yilin yet, as the work he had on hand was already scheduled until next year.

Gu Lingfeng, a man of integrity, was able to bend and stretch, and he apologized immediately: "I'm sorry, I didn't know you had so many complaints. I will definitely not control you like this in the future."

Gu Lingfeng admitted his mistake in a good manner, but he still couldn't contain Li Yilin's anger, "That's unnecessary! There's no future, we must terminate the contract today!"

“·····”

Li Yilin is the first and only artist signed by Gu Lingfeng in his career.

By chance, Li Yilin and Gu Lingfeng met. Li Yilin likes acting and likes to live in everyone's attention. It just so happens that Gu Lingfeng likes to be an agent and has the ability to do so, so the two hit it off.

Gu Lingfeng immediately set up a studio - Lingfeng Entertainment, and signed the only artist - Li Yilin.

When the studio was founded, Gu Lingfeng was only 22 years old, a recent college graduate. The company was small, with only a few employees: the sole artist, Li Yilin; his manager and studio owner, Gu Lingfeng; assistant Zhang Ming; driver Chen Quan; and accountant and office worker Su Mei.

Gu Lingfeng is actually the young master of the Gu Group. The Gu family is wealthy and powerful, and they own a large entertainment company. Of course, in addition to the entertainment company, there are many other industries. Gu's father has been looking forward to his graduation and returning home to help.

But Gu Lingfeng was so strange that he had no interest in being a CEO. He only wanted to be a manager. He wanted to be a manager, but didn't want to work in an entertainment company, so he secretly set up Lingfeng Entertainment.

Because of this incident, Gu's father was furious and ignored him for a long time, so Gu's mother had to persuade him every day to coax her son.

Fortunately, Gu Lingfeng has an older brother, Gu Lingyun, so although his father was angry, he did not forcibly take him back.

Gu Lingyun, the eldest son of the Gu Group, is Gu Lingfeng's biological brother from the same father and mother, and is six years older than him.

Gu Lingyun has been a child of other people's families since he was young. He is so outstanding that it is against the sky. Although Gu Lingfeng is also very outstanding, he is far inferior to his brother.
