Chapter 48 Mu Ya Saves People

Murong Qing heard the noise and turned around. He saw that the snake's head was only a hand's width away from him. He was so frightened that he cried out. In his haste to stand up, he stepped on a small stone, slipped, and tumbled down the hillside.

Upon seeing this, Mu Ya rushed over and helped the injured Murong Qing up, saying with concern, "Your Highness, are you alright? Let me help you back so the imperial physician can take a look."

Murong Qing: "Okay."

Muya was about to help him up when she felt the ground tremble not far behind her. Muya paused in her hand and looked back warily, only to see a wild bear charging straight towards them.

Murong Qing's heart tightened.

Seeing that the wild bear was not far from them, Mu Ya let go of Murong Qing's hand, stood up, and became wary.

Murong Qing looked at his arm, thinking that Mu Ya was going to abandon him and run away, and lowered his eyelids to hide the disappointment in his eyes.

"Your Highness, do not be afraid." Mu Ya's voice came from above. She smiled at Murong Qing and charged towards the wild bear without looking back.

Murong Qing looked up and saw the girl rushing towards the wild bear without regard for anything. His mind went blank; he seemed to be thinking a lot, yet also thinking nothing at all. He opened his mouth but no sound came out. He just stared blankly, feeling a pang of sadness and heaviness in his heart, along with an impulse he couldn't quite explain.

As soon as Mu Ya faced the wild bear, she knew it was destined to be a tough battle. With a determined expression, she drew her sword from her waist and, while fighting, led the wild bear away from Murong Qing.

After being wounded by Muya's sword, the wild bear became even more ferocious. Although Muya was skilled, she was, after all, a woman and lacked strength.

Mu Ya understood that the longer the delay, the smaller her chances of survival. If she didn't kill the bear, Murong Qing, who was injured behind her, would certainly not survive if something happened to her. Thinking of this, she turned back and glanced at Murong Qing with a look of longing and determination. As she turned back, a huge bear paw came at her. She couldn't dodge in time, and the bear's claws scratched across her left cheek, from the corner of her eye to her jaw. The wound was deep, and blood quickly stained half of her face.

Despite the pain, Muya mustered all her strength and finally slew the bear with her sword. Seeing the bear dead, she breathed a sigh of relief, but exhausted, she could barely stand and knelt on her right knee, supporting herself with her sword. She was covered in blood, some her own, some the bear's. Blood dripped from the sword in her hand.

She wanted to turn around and look at Murong Qing one more time, but she was worried that her current appearance would frighten him. Before she could think any further, she could no longer hold on and collapsed to the ground, fainting.

Murong Qing looked at the slender figure who had kept the wild bear five meters away from him, his heart churning. Memories flashed through his mind: her arrogant demeanor when they first met, disguised as a man; her shy joy when they met again; her resolute decision to save him today; and now, lying on the ground, unable to get up.

Murong Qing felt a sharp pain in his heart, and a deep panic filled his mind. He shouted at the top of his lungs, "Help! Help! Help me!" He stumbled to his feet as he shouted and ran towards Mu Ya, ignoring the pain in his feet.

Murong Qing carefully helped Mu Ya up, his hands touching the sticky, fresh blood. His arms trembled slightly as he held Mu Ya.

The surrounding guards noticed something was wrong and rushed over.

What I saw was a chaotic battlefield, with grass clippings scattered everywhere and messy footprints, some of which belonged to humans and others to wild bears.

A huge bear lay on the ground, its body covered with wounds from being stabbed and cut by swords.

And the young lady of the Prime Minister's mansion, covered in blood and unconscious, and the Fourth Prince, disheveled and with bloodshot eyes, standing beside her.
