Chapter 76 Farewell to the Fluffy One

The two agreed to set off together the next day to Qingshan Forest, which is located on the opposite bank of Xiahe Village.

The two of them went out early the next morning after breakfast.

I walked along the road to Xiahe Village, bathed in the morning light and greeted by a gentle breeze.

Murong Yu deliberately concealed his aura and changed into ordinary black clothes, while Mu Qing wore white. The two strolled along the country road and were not recognized by anyone.

Mu Qing looked at the fields by the roadside but saw no crops. Looking around, she saw the same in other fields. Somewhat puzzled, she turned and asked, "A-Yu, why aren't any of these fields planted with crops?"

Upon hearing this, Murong Yu sighed and said, "The recent torrential rains have killed all the seedlings planted in the spring." He then looked somewhat heavy-hearted.

Murong Yu: "It's already October, so we can't plant rice this year. We can only grow some vegetables. People who don't have any surplus grain at home are going to have a hard time this year."

Mu Qing: "Ayu, I want to go to Shanghe Village."

Upon hearing this, Murong Yu did not ask any further questions, but simply said, "Okay."

As soon as Mu Qing and Murong Yu entered the forest, it became lively.

The sounds of various animals rose and fell, and Mu Qing noticed that all the furry creatures around him that had seen him ran away quickly, which made him feel a little lost.

A moment later, a little tiger with pure white fur rushed out, grabbed Mu Qing's leg with its paws and wouldn't let go, rubbing its little head against Mu Qing's pants and whining "Awoo awoo" in a spoiled manner.

Mu Qing bent down, picked up the little tiger, and gently stroked it.

Looking up, Mu Qing saw a large, pure white tiger slowly approaching in the distance, its steps graceful and composed. A branch with a crimson fruit hung from its mouth. The tiger obediently sat down in front of Mu Qing and handed her the fruit. One after another, various animals returned, bringing back all sorts of things to give to Mu Qing.

Mu Qing suddenly realized, "So when I saw him, these little ones ran away in a hurry to get something to give him." Thinking of this, she couldn't help but feel a little touched.

The big black bear brought over a beehive, full of honey, with a sweet aroma. The animals were very hospitable, bringing all sorts of gifts. Some brought wild fruits, some stones, some herbs, and a pheasant even brought a plump worm. To Mu Qing's greatest surprise, a little monkey brought him an ear of corn, which he accepted without hesitation.

It then transferred some wood energy to the little animals, and then bid farewell and left amidst the reluctant gazes of the furry creatures.

At noon, the two washed the wild fruits they had collected and shared them. Without lingering any longer, they headed straight for Shanghe Village.

Xiling Mountain

Zhang Huaien went out early in the morning. Since he recovered, he likes to go to Xiling Mountain to look for beautiful flowers or useful medicinal herbs.

As usual, he went up the mountain early that day with his basket on his back.

After searching for a long time on the mountain, he found a few medicinal herbs and a cluster of red morning glories. Zhang Huaien carefully dug them out and put them in his basket. Along the way, he also picked some wild fruits and put them in his basket.

As usual, I went to the mountain spring in the valley of Xiling Mountain to drink water and rest.

When he crossed the jungle and arrived at the mountain spring, he saw a tall young man sitting with his eyes closed on a blue stone by the spring.

His face was somewhat pale, he held a sword in his right hand, and his left hand covered his lower abdomen, with traces of blood flowing from between his fingers, staining his entire hand red.
