Chapter 50 Treating Murong Qing

Sima Qingqing said helplessly, "You brat." She raised her hand to wipe away the tears from the corner of her eyes and said, "I'm sorry for making everyone laugh."

Murong Zhi: "It's alright."

Murong Yu couldn't take his eyes off Mu Qing the moment he saw him. Worried that Mu Qing's identity would be discovered, he had been trying to keep his distance and hadn't seen him for quite some time.

He was engrossed in watching when he noticed the faint golden lotus mark appearing between Mu Qing's brows, and his heart tightened. Without thinking, he stepped forward and pulled Mu Qing into his arms, pressing his head into the crook of his neck.

Mu Qing's hot breath brushed against Murong Yu's neck, and the faint scent of soap on the man made her blush. She heard the man's soft murmur in her ear: "Between the eyebrows," accompanied by heavy breathing.

Mu Qing was startled. Feeling that the wood energy she had channeled into Mu Ya's body was enough to protect her, she stopped.

Everyone looked bewildered.

Sima Qingqing: "Third Prince?"

Murong Yu froze, released his grip on Mu Qing, and stood there bewildered, like a child caught doing something wrong.

Mu Qing: "..."

Finally, Murong Zhi stepped in to defuse the situation, asking, "How is Mu Ya?"

Sima Qingqing's attention was indeed diverted, and she said with a worried expression, "Imperial Physician Wang is still inside and hasn't come out yet."

Murong Qing's hoarse voice rang out: "She'll be alright."

Only then did everyone see Murong Qing standing at the tent entrance. He looked exactly the same as when he returned, completely disheveled.

Murong Zhi: "Fourth brother, would you like to go and wash up first?"

Before he could answer, Physician Wang came out and said, "Miss Muya is in good health and is no longer in danger." He paused and added, "It's just that the injuries on her back and face may leave scars."

Sima Qingqing breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this and said, "It's good that everyone is alright. Thank you, Physician Wang."

Murong Qing finally breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that Mu Ya was alright. During the time Mu Ya was receiving treatment, he thought a lot. This was the first time he regretted his actions and began to reflect on his mistakes. Once this thought arose, it was unstoppable. "From now on, I will follow Mother's advice and assist my elder brothers to become a wise and virtuous king," he secretly resolved. "But before that, I need to give my two elder brothers an explanation for the mistakes I made in the past, and also for Mu Ya." Thinking of this, his heart ached again.

Murong Qing: "My two elder brothers, I have something to say to you."

Murong Zhi: "Let the imperial physician examine your injuries first."

Murong Zhi: "Since Mu Ya is alright, let's have lunch before heading back to the city."

Everyone: "Yes."

Murong Qing followed Physician Wang back to the tent.

Murong Qing said, "I just twisted my leg." He then lifted his shirt to reveal his injured leg.

Looking at Murong Qing's swollen leg, the imperial physician sighed and thought to himself, "The Fourth Prince is just like the Imperial Concubine; he's very grateful and worried about Mu Ya's injury. He hasn't uttered a sound even though his own leg is swollen like this. How much pain he must be in." Thinking this, he became even more gentle in his movements.

Wang Chenyuan was in charge of preparing lunch, which Murong Zhi trusted. When he estimated it was about time, he called Murong Yu and they went together to Murong Qing's tent.

Murong Qing lay on the bed with his legs wrapped in gauze. He had already washed up and looked very tired, but his eyes were clear.

Murong Zhi: "Fourth brother, are you feeling better?"

Murong Qing looked at the two of them, got up and knelt down, and confessed in detail that he had drugged Murong Zhi, had previously asked the Assassination Pavilion to injure Murong Yu, and had released the wild bear in today in an attempt to harm the two of them.
