Chapter 35 Gathering at the Mansion

Mu Qing shifted her gaze away from the dazed Sima Qingqing, without disturbing her thoughts.

He thought to himself, "How many people in this world can truly have a mind as clear as a mirror, neither accepting nor rejecting anything?"

He himself was no exception to the common practice; he had simply experienced life and death, which broadened his horizons.

Little Stone and his group worked quickly; the food was brought in shortly after Mu Qing and the others sat down.

Mu Qing picked up a pot of bright red peonies and handed it to Sima Qingqing: "Mother, this is for you. Do you like it? Fangcao Pavilion has many other varieties. If you like any of them, I will have them sent over."

Sima Qingqing: "Good child, I like it very much, thank you."

Mu Qing: "I'm glad you like it."

Then he picked up a brocade box and said, "Inside are two ginseng roots with thousand-year-old medicinal properties, as a gift for you and Father." As soon as he finished speaking, Prime Minister Mu, with a serious face and upright posture, walked in.

Sima Qingqing smiled and said, "Master, you're back. Qing'er has prepared something good for you: a thousand-year-old ginseng, which is so rare that you can't buy it anywhere else."

Father Mu sized up Mu Qing a few times and saw that he had an elegant and noble demeanor, clear and bright eyes, black hair and snow-white skin, and a smile on his lips. He truly lived up to the saying: "A gentleman like jade on the road, unparalleled in the world."

She has grown taller, and the faint worry between her brows has disappeared.

He laughed heartily, "Hahaha, it's good that you're back, it's good that you're back."

Mu Qing nodded with a smile, without saying much, but couldn't help feeling a little regretful.

Mu Qing gave the white magnolia flower she had given to Mu Qi and the bauhinia flower she had given to Mu Ya to the two of them respectively. Seeing that they genuinely liked them, she was very happy.

The group enjoyed a lively early dinner before going their separate ways.

Mu Qing returned to Qinghua Courtyard. The flowers and plants in the courtyard were not growing well in winter, but it was clear that they had been carefully tended to.

The decorations in the room were exactly the same as in the original owner's memory, without any changes, and it was spotless.

Mu Qing sighed softly.

He thought to himself, "Since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it."

"Let things come and go as they may, and do what you feel is right."

I felt a change in my aura, and I felt much more at ease.

It turns out that he was also struggling with his relationship with the original owner's family, which had constrained him.

Now that I've figured it out, my mind is much clearer.

Walking to the big tree in the courtyard, I took a deep breath and circulated my wood energy. The plants in the courtyard seemed to be reborn and became much more energetic.

Mu Qing sensed the wood energy around him and cultivated for an hour, completely dispelling the fatigue from his journey.

Feeling full of energy, and with the sky beginning to darken, Mu Qing went back to her room to change into a moon-white dress before secretly leaving the mansion.

After thinking it over, he decided to visit Murong Yu directly under the guise of being the prime minister's son. Concealing his identity and being exposed could cause trouble if Murong Yu's father's political enemies took the opportunity to stir up trouble. He himself was not afraid, but he could not leave such a big hidden danger for his family.

Moreover, he knew Murong Yu and, having learned of his serious illness, it was only right and proper for him to visit him.

As for how to treat him, that will depend on Murong Yu's condition.

When Mu Qing arrived at the Prince's residence, he found it rather deserted. He said to the gatekeeper, "Brother, I am Mu Qing, the second young master of the Prime Minister's residence. I request an audience with the Third Prince. Please inform him of my arrival."

Just as the gatekeeper was about to go in to announce their arrival, An Yi came out and said, "Young Master Mu Qing, please come in."

Mu Qing looked at him with a puzzled expression.

An Yi: "Young Master is a friend of the Prince. I will take you there without having to announce your arrival."

Mu Qing nodded and followed An Yi inside. After walking for about the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, Mu Qing was led to the courtyard where Murong Yu lived.
