Chapter 145 Encountering a Bear Attack
The next morning, before dawn, Liu Ye carried a basket on her back, took a wood-chopping knife, and went up the mountain with Bai Zilin and the others. By the time they reached the depths of the mountains, it was already daylight.
Liu Ye was afraid of disturbing Bai Zilin and his group's hunt, so she walked at the very back. When she gets back to the river, she'll have to take out a few big fish from her spatial storage. There are still so many fish in there, almost none of them have been eaten. There are also quite a few crabs. She ate all the big ones, and there are still a lot of small ones left.
Half an hour later, "Hmph, hmph." "Wild boars!" Liu Ye quickly stopped walking. She listened intently to the sounds around her. Then she took out five large fish from her spatial storage: two grass carp, three carp, and not the crabs, as taking out the crabs was a bit inappropriate.
Before Brother Bai and the others returned, she had to go into her space to check. Bright red liquid flowed from the bear's neck and soon it was all over the ground, filling the air with the smell of blood.
"Won't the smell of blood attract wolves?" "Oh dear, the blood was drawn too early."
Just as Liu Ye was regretting that she had released the blood too early, Bai Zilin emerged from the woods. Upon seeing the enormous creature on the ground, he was so frightened that he dropped his prey and rushed to Liu Ye's side, calling out, "Liu Ye!"
Da Hu and the other two abandoned their prey and ran towards Liu Ye, all looking worried.
Bai Zilin checked Liu Ye over thoroughly and, finding no blood or injuries, finally breathed a sigh of relief: "Oh my god, thank goodness you're not hurt! You scared me to death!"
Liu Ye said carelessly, "Hehe, I heard that bear paws are especially delicious, let's save one bear paw to eat."
